Located on the bottom floor of the Olivian apartment building, this new bao shop competes directly with Dough Zone and DTF nearby. Amongst the three, this is the weakest option by far. The inside was super cute and all but lighting was too much and it overly stimulated my senses. As for food, we ordered 5 items and each item was very middle of the way or bad. Cucumbers lacked depth, flavor, and crisp while the crispy dumplings felt stale over crispy. The Dan Dan noodles had chickpeas in them and while I love chickpeas, it was an unwelcome item on my dish. I appreciated the sampler of the XLB but again, lacked any excitement. However, the service was great. 5/5 especially for their soft opening. But the food was subpar that it'll be silly for me not to go to the tried and true DTF.

Good service, pricey but high quality food. We got the string beans, picked vegetables appetizer, chicken broth base wonton soup, and vegetable chow mein. Definitely pricier than the nearby dough zone and even DinTaiFung, but I can tell especially from the wonton that the food is higher quality and more homey taste.

We came here for dinner knowing it had just opened a couple of weeks ago. There's only 2 waitstaff so there're short staff but the 2 wait staff were very nice. The meal orders are placed by QR code. The restaurant is esthetically pleasing. We dined on: Beef chow mein - noodles were a tad too soft but dish was OK. Chicken wings - 4 pieces, too spicy for me, but crispy crust and moist inside. Dry fried green beans - was very good. Pork crab dumplings- not the soup kind, was OK, tender filling. Came with chopped garlic on the side. It's located conveniently across the street from our hotel so makes it easy.

Our first time in Seattle, Washington! We found this place when we were walking back to our hotel. They serve dim sum. They were having a soft opening, so the place is brand new, the staff were literally (just overhearing), "It's my first day..". Either way they were all pro's, efficient and fast. The place was very bright and lively especially with their Panda mascot. The food was deliciously made. My only complaint was the duck egg rolls did not have enough duck meat. Other than that I would come back here again!

This is only their second week in business, and I'm so glad I stopped by! I came here with a friend last time, and we really enjoyed the food. The soup dumplings were excellent -- the wrappers were nice and thin, and there was plenty of flavorful, juicy broth inside. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. The decor is elegant and tasteful, and the atmosphere feels very comfortable and welcoming. The service was great as well, and I was especially impressed by how quickly the food came out. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're working nearby and only have a limited lunch break. You can enjoy some really good soup dumplings with your coworkers without worrying about being late back to work. I'll definitely be coming back!

We loved this place! It is currently having a month-long soft opening, but things seemed to be in perfect order. The soup dumplings xiao long bao were amazing! The bao buns were vey hot and moist and filled with so much pork. The four of us ate more than our fill at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent and the food came out promptly after ordering. We will return! (edited again...) this is our third meal at Bao Home. This time it is for lunch with two of us. We ordered the hot and sour soup which had egg drop, thinly sliced chicken, thinly sliced shiitake, mushroom, and a few other ingredients. The soup was excellent on a cool, wet day. We also had the cold vegetarian noodle dish. It was quite spicy, which I loved, but was a little too much zing for my wife. If you do not like a nice zing, then maybe skip this one. Finally we ordered Xiao Long pork and mushroom (soup balls! For the second time) that were absolutely wonderful. All of the food was of equal quality to the well-known Din Thai Fung restaurants (Shhhhh!) and the cost was probably 20% less. The service was excellent. If you sit in the front part of the restaurant, you have a direct view into the full kitchen, which I always love. The restaurant is new, but again we have been here three times and everything is marvelous.

We saw this restaurant while we were walking in downtown Seattle. The panda monument dressed in Chinese costume like the character in Kung full Panda. It's so cute and eye catching! The interior is bright and the orange chairs stands out. We took the side door because it was the first door we saw from where we walked from our hotel. There was a guy who greeted us whom I thought was a customer. Turned out he's the owner. He took us to our table, very nice young man. He mentioned that it's their soft opening, so they don't have enough staff yet. There's a QR code on each table to order food from. Our food came quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious The egg roll duck is the only one I didn't like so much because I barely tasted the duck. The taste of the veggie overpowered it. The rest of the food was great! The owner was the one who took care of our payment. My husband mentioned that it was too cold in our table. The food got cold easily because of the cold air. He gave us a 5% discount for the inconvenience. He said he'll get it fixed thenext day. Great experience overall!

Best meal we had during a weekend visit to Seattle. The two other similar restaurants in the area had long waits so we opted to try this new one and it paid off. We had the crispy duck egg rolls, chicken wings, and pork xiao long bao. All four of us loved every bite. The service was amazing even though it was on a busy Saturday evening. Excellent value for the quality of the food. Highly recommend!

Both times we ordered the cucumber dish as well as the green onion pancakes because they were delish. The pancakes were thin and crispy and the cucumbers were pickled and came as 2 pieces, wound in a spiral mound. On the first night we had pork XLB, full of bursting soup upon a bite. The fried rice was Ok but Hubby liked more than I did. The second night, we tried Dan Dan noodle. It was pretty spicy but had a nice flavor. We tried the chicken XLB instead. I preferred the pork XLB over the chicken. We also tried the pork pan fried buns, cane as 4 pieces and I liked them better than the XLB. Servers are nice but not very attentive. You place your order on the QR code and they basically bring you the dishes and drinks. Food arrived quickly.

I do love a restaurant anniversary--especially when the celebration includes DIM SUM at $4.99 a dish! Now THAT is my kind of party. Happy 11th Anniversary, Hong Kong Bistro! Been a while coming back and already I'm wondering why it took Moshii so long to arrive at the table! I finally tried the Chinese Doughnut Rice Noodle Roll--a first for me--and now I understand the obsession. That wonderfully chewy rice noodle wrapped around the crispy Chinese doughnut is such a delicious textural contrast. Add a bowl of warm rice congee and suddenly you understand why these traditional combinations have stood the test of time. Then came the Xiao Long Bao--delicately steamed, filled with luscious juices and a lovely little morsel of pork hiding inside. One bite and careful, darling... don't spill the treasure! The Peanut Chiu Chow Dumpling, Hong Kong Bistro style, was another delightful surprise--steamed, nutty and packed with wonderful flavor. And the Lo Mai Gai--sticky rice filled with those wonderfully unctuous, savory little goodies tucked inside. Remind me - Chinese sausage, beef minced and black mushroom. Comfort food wrapped up in a little bundle of deliciousness. And those $4.99 anniversary specials? Darling... Moshii is officially a FAN! Good food, good tradition, generous portions and a restaurant celebrating 11 years by sharing the love with its customers. Seattle Chinatown, you may have just acquired one more devoted dim sum queen. #HongKongBistro #SeattleChinatown #DimSum #SeattleFoodie #MoshiiEats

The lovely woman who works there recommended ordering the wontons in chili oil. The wontons had a big pocket of pork on one side and a nice piece of shrimp on the other side. It was outstanding. We finally tried Harmony Palace, a Hong Kong-style 茶餐廳 I'd been seeing online for a while. The restaurant is small and pleasantly quiet; there was only one other party when we arrived. Honestly, fewer crowds is a bonus these days. We ordered a solid spread: HK milk tea, 鴛鴦, curry chicken rice, 混醬腸粉, 雲吞麵, 沙嗲牛肉米, and 西多士. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The curry looked a little questionable at first--don't judge a curry by its color--but it tasted great. The 腸粉 was thicker than I expected, but everything else was enjoyable. The milk tea and 鴛鴦 were right on par with what you'd want from an HK café, and the prices felt reasonable by current Seattle standards, which is almost its own five-star category. No complaints overall. I'd definitely come back--just maybe leave 30 minutes early for parking.
