Stopped by this week to try some bao buns. I love visiting the Garden and trying the new places that pop up in there. I couldn't decide what to order so I ended up getting four different flavors. I ordered the braised pork belly, chicken satay, spicy Korean chicken and the massaman. My favorite ended up being the spicy Korean chicken, I also really enjoyed the peanut sauce they put on the other two chicken so buns. The buns were super soft and pillowy. I'll be back to try more flavors and check out the dessert menu.

Wow....so much flavor in such small packages. The Bai bun with pork belly was just awesome....had the wnto soup as well....nice warm up and probably the best broth in town. Don't skip on the Crepe cake bites....oh so good!!

Okay... so today was my first chance to try out Bao Town... and trust me, it will not be my last! We tried the Braised Pork Belly Bao & the Char Siu Bao... and neither one disappointed! The flavor of the meats, sauces, and veggies wrapped up in the most delightful pillowy Bao Bun was really something! I definitely want to try the rest for sure soon! We also sampled the Shumai (delicious)... and the Wonton soup was probably the best I've ever had! The orange chicken and rice was super as well... flavorful and not at all greasy... just yummy!!! Lastly... do not miss the crepe cake (sadly, not pictured)... I mean... I've never had anything like it... and I found out that you can even pre-order a whole one for a special occasion... yes, please!!! Come out and support this terrific small business to keep them cooking up their specialties for Pensacola for years to come!

I haven't had any luck with the bao's in Pensacola nothing has came close to the ones in Dallas,Los Angeles or Atlanta till I came here! The buns are bursting with flavor! & the buns are so SOFT! The umami flavor with the 5 spice braised pork belly and the sweet and savory flavor of the char sui pork is amazing! By far my favorite 2! I work 33 minutes away but happened to be working at city hall and stopped by Eurasian and saw that they had opened a bao place next door! I was so skeptical at first but really wanted to give it a try because I saw the egg tarts! ( btw so DANG GOOD!) the buns are affordable, the taste is amazing, the customer service is amazing! I spent all night craving for more so I took my lunch break and headed back the next day! I really hope they get the business they deserve and to top it off! I just found out that the ones who own Thai rice owns bao town! No wonder why the food is so good and the service is amazing! We are such huge fans of Thai rice and to know that they expanded with different Asian cuisines makes my heart happy.

I enjoyed the food but it was very underwhelming. Not worth the almost 30 minute wait.

I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and decided to check it out for my birthday…read moredinner this year. Four of us went and we all enjoyed it. Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. The atmosphere is good, well lit, roomy booths, very clean and we liked the music.

Nothing too fancy though. The prices were a bit high. I ordered a curry dish. I was not too thrilled about the taste. Everyone ended up taking the majority of their food to go. I ended up paying for the 4 of us,and it was over $100.00. no way was this considered a top class place , more casual. One dish was a seafood one and it had imitation seafood in it. For the price it should have had some real scallops or lobster. It was fake, and a couple of pieces you had no clue what it was supposed to be. Everyone agreed when we left that there were better places in the Pensacola area and much cheaper. The food I'm sorry was not exceptional or anything I'd have to go back to get. ( Rating due to the service)

The food is definitely above average. I've tried several different Chinese restaurants in the area…read moreand this place is hands down the best. I love their Kung Pao Chicken (spicy), Singapore Noodles (curry), and Mapo Tofu. Those dishes rate a 10 out of 10 (the best). I never place an order without getting these three dishes. That being said, their Sweet & Sour Chicken is not good. They give you some breaded chicken pieces with a side container of sweet sauce. There are no vegetables. When I lived in Chicago years ago, you'd get Sweet & Sour Chicken with pieces of cut up pineapple, green bell pepper and onions. Delicious! And the sauce was already mixed into the chicken, not on the side. I do not recommend Hunan Wok's Sweet & Sour Chicken. I'm really surprised they don't improve this dish. Their egg rolls are okay, nothing spectacular. Average at best. The Shrimp Fried Rice, and other choices of fried rice are excellent. I like their Steamed Dumplings a lot, which comes with sauce. I also like how they package their food in traditional Chinese takeout boxes. One thing that I don't like is that an annoying panhandler named "Patrick" lives outside their door every day of the week, begging for food and money. Patrick has been there for years. It's like a job to him. He has never once failed to hit me up for food and/or money. I have complained numerous times to the Hunan Wok, but nothing has been done about the problem. For whatever reason, the restaurant has been either unable or inept to remove him. The atmosphere is that of a fast food place. Although there are a couple tables if you'd like to sit and eat there, you'll likely be crowded by waiting customers for their food. I wouldn't recommend planning to eat there. The place is small, standing room only. The great food is the best thing about this place. Did I mention that I love their Singapore Soft Noodles? If you like curry, you'll love this dish! It comes with diced onions, shrimp, chicken, carrots and other veggies. Delicious! Overall, I highly recommend the Hunan Wok. Their prices are very reasonable, the employees are friendly, and the food is mostly great. And by the way, before I forget, THEY ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The food quality is the same. There used to be a troublesome Chinese woman who worked there taking orders, who gave customers a hard time, but she is long gone. So, if you haven't been to the place for over a year, I'd go back and check it out. They've improved.

We ordered our usuals and were hoping for the best and that's what we got. It was absolutely delicious. I got the steamed chicken and shrimp with vegetables and a order of a side of garlic sauce and it was fantastic. My husband loved the egg rolls And the chicken teriyaki. The pork egg foo yong was really good. I ordered a side of gravy because I didn't know how much they would give me, but there was plenty. Really good food!
