It was absolutely delicious. I got the steamed chicken and shrimp with vegetables and a order of a side of garlic sauce and it was fantastic. My husband loved the egg rolls And the chicken teriyaki. The Chinese Takeaway place closest to us is closed on Mondays, so we decided to give this place a try. The Yelp reviews are really mixed, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ordered pork egg foo young, broccoli chicken, wonton soup, and fried pork dumplings. The food was good. It was ready when I arrived, it was fresh and hot. While Hunan Wok is certainly not five stars, for fast takeaway they do a pretty good job. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the store is relatively clean. read more

The owners went to China several months ago and the people cooking now are very bad. Food is tasteless and steamed brocoli has no seasoning. Generals chicken is not fit to eat. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but it will be ready within 20 mins. Standing in line to pay will take the most time, so budget for that. The shrimp fried rice was super greasy and had about 10 shrimps in the big box they give it to you in. Egg rolls were over fried. I ordered the orange chicken for my niece, who orders the same entree from other places, but this one was different because it was spicy. This place was okay. I ordered the bean curd home style and broccoli and garlic sauce. The portions are generous and I was able to have leftovers for lunch today, which was nice. Many restaurants don't do the bean curd well but this place fried them correctly, although it could have been sliced thinner. It made me choose at least 1 star even though I didn't want to. Not very happy with the customer service. We walked in and wasn't acknowledged for a good 10 minutes. When the lady finally came to register she had an attitude. She was not polite at all. She definitely doesn't need to work the front counter at all. When I received our food I asked if sweet and sour sauce was included and she rudely said no. Even though I ordered egg rolls and spring rolls so figured it would come with it. I told her I would pay for sauce and that pissed her off rolling her eyes and it took 3 minutes to get my sauce and pay for it. Sometimes though they seem kind of grumpy ;) so I understand those comments. Went here based on the reviews, didn't meet my standards. This place is located near Walmart in the plaza on Mobile hwy. I called my order in 10 mins before getting there and still had to wait an additional 10 mins. A small crowd was there. Small seating area, only 5 tables that allowed 2 people to sit. Not a place to dine in at, wrong ambience. I got the sparerib and fries with an eggroll. The food was meh...the egg roll was ok, but very chewy. The outside was crunchy but as you chewed it up it was very chewy. The fries were standard. The sparerib were the thickest pieces of meat I've ever had for sparerib from a Chinese restaurant; they were not tender at all, very tough and mostly fat and very salty. I did not finish the whole meal. Very disappointed. The hunt continues; maybe if I ate the standards like sweet n sour chicken but I don't. read more
