Stopped in for lunch and couldn't have left happier! Ordered chicken satay, coconut shrimp, edamame, and red curry with chicken. They have a nice open kitchen design which allows the smells and sights of your food to reach you! The service is swift and polite as well. Love Love Love Thai Rice. They know it too. They know i'm addicted to their Thai Hot Red curry Crispy Duck! LOL And then, they told me to try the other Crispy Duck soup with noodles & yummy broth! :).,,,, Now I can't choose between them! UGH! We have brought friends to this restaurant before but after being seated and while considering what to eat our friends walk through the door! So great to finally meet the Owners OB & Nui. We were craving Thai food and were pleased to find on Yelp that Thai Rice is open 1100-2100 on Saturday and Sunday. We usually go during the week at 1700 after they reopen for Dinner. We ordered our favorites, Green Papaya Salad #3 Hot hit all the notes, Thai Cucumber Salad was sweet and crunchy, making it a nice palate cleanser, Pineapple Fried Rice w/Chicken #3 Hot had a great presentation and so delicious, and Drunken Noodles w/Beef #4 Hot. was so flavorful with perfect heat. They have the Best Thai Tea to compliment the meal. What a great meal and so satisfying. After stuffing ourselves, we had the pleasure of meeting OB & Nui. Enough of a kick but not overpowering. I love the fact that the chicken lo mein has lots of vegetables and even crunchy asparagus which is one of the healthiest veggies you can get! Very good. Probably the best Thai food I have had in the South! The papaya salad was so delicious with bright flavors and perfect texture. The Pad Thai was the perfect mix of savory and sweet, which an added side of crushed peanuts that you could add for texture if you wanted. Driving back to Texas and we needed some food. Quick search for food along the route resulted in this visit. Trust me, this spot was . They move pretty slow but it is worth the wait. The food is immaculate. I love Asian food and it's not often that I have an experience where I have to close my eyes to see the flavors as I eat but this was on of those unique experiences. My daughter and I each had chicken pad Thai, but she went with medium spice, and being the wiener that I am, I went with no spice. My husband went with drunken noodle with medium spice. The heat was perfectly customized for each of us, and the portion sizes were VERY generous. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary starter which is a new promo they're offering. I think it's a Monday - Thursday thing right now. It was a papaya salad that was light and delicious. Great all around experience. Larb salad with chicken and no red onion. My gosh this flavor is insane and I am so happy to know that there is an amazing option for Thai now in the Davis Hwy area. At first I thought the pricing looked a little high for Pensacola and not being downtown but now I know why. Besides the devastation the food industry has endured and just opening a new place during a pandemic I encourage you to look past the price of the meals and support this new restaurant.
