We ordered Pad Thai, Kung pow Chicken, super A combo meal along with a few other things. The delivery was great! The food was all terrible. Greasy was the flavor. Also we didn't get our soup that we ordered, which may be a blessing. We spent almost 100.00 just to throw it away. Disappointed for sure because Uber gave good ratings. Well I usually order from the local Chinese spot near my house. But yesterday I wanted the good Chinese, so I went to shang hai 2. I've had some really good food there before. But this time was terriable. I ordered 4 things. It cost 50 bucks and it was not good. The orange chicken has a stringy like consistency. Implying "its old". The lemein was good but not enough vegetables or pork, considering i ordered PORK lemein. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs. My fav. This was terriable. Down right dry as fook. Not gonna lie, these other yelp reviews almost scared me away, but I'm so glad I went here! Quick service and yummy food!! Pretty Cheap too! I think we paid about $20 for everything. Hubby ordered the chicken Lo mein and was pleased. I got the sweet and sour chicken. Super yummy! The fried rice was okay, nothing super fancy. Same with the egg drop soup. Just the typical stuff you get at most Chinese restaurants. But those cheese wontons!!!! OH MY GOSH. Ya'll. Do yourself a favor and get an order of these bad boys! Just ordered my first take out order from this restaurant, and it will be my last. The Pork Chow Mein smells soured, like the pork is spoiled. The House Egg Foo Young that was to be filled with chicken, pork and shrimp, had a half of piece of pork and a piece of chicken in it. However, the bigger issue is it's dripping in oil, making it soggy and unappetizing. The accompanying gravy has grease floating on top of it. The House Lo Mein was made with regular spaghetti noodles again greasy and minimal pieces of meat it purported to be included. Extremely disappointing for $43.00 ! Ordered off Uber Eats and had the worse food. They blame it on Uber Eats for not downloading the proper menu YET the food was horrible. Biggest re4d flag is the fried rice is a Saffron rice NO where NEAR a fried rice. Second they charge you for each additional vegetable for the Hibachi. So for $14 I got broccoli and chicken and a bland white rice. NO options on the menu to add cabbage or carrots, etc. The cashew chicken was min chicken and TONS of celery. Horrible experience tonight. Ordered chicken hibachi and got a plate of heavy sauced pepper onion chicken. My wife said that is what I get for ordering Japanese at a Chinese place but when Wendy's put chili on the menu they took the time to look at the basic ingredients. They can put their spin on but seriously this doesn't even come close. They have some good food but this isn't it. They should drop it from the menu immediately. I was a little afraid of having items delivered seeing the long delivery times mentioned in previous reviews. I was very fortunate to not have this problem. My friends and I ordered some food and we received our order in literally less that 20 minutes. Everything was fresh and exactly as ordered. Although we ordered 3 bowls of soup, 3 entrees, and 3 appetizers we paid less than $30. Great menu selection and even better customer service. I went back and asked for a refund and the manager began yelling at me saying how their food is excellent and always warm. I've gotten take out from this place a fee times and it's mostly pretty decent. However, I recently ordered a large chicken fried rice to go; once I got home I realized there was no chicken. I was annoyed but I know mistakes happen and I thought they just accidentally gave me regular rice. Once I got to the bottom of the box I found ONE small piece of chicken. I was scared about ordering because I have never had decent Chinese food in Pensacola, but I am so glad I did! Easy online ordering, good price, fast delivery, correct order, and really good food! Even sent us a free 2 liter of soda. We got sweet and sour chicken (good breading and nice chunks of white meat chicken), honey chicken for my picky youngest child, fried rice with and without pork, and sesame beef. Third time I have given this restaurant a chance and my last time. Each time they have either sent wrong item or left out an item. For the price, delivery charge and adding 15% tip, they should be able to deliver the correct order. Also they are really stingy on meat in dishes...the curried chicken should be listed on menu as curried onions and mongolian beef should be called mongolian onions. Food for price is very mediocre and not being able to prepare correct order makes their delivery service below average. Shang Hai II has tasty food (and lots of it) BUT order it for carry out if you can. If you order for delivery, make sure you're not under any kind of time restrictions because while they tell you 30-40 minutes, it could take much longer. I placed an order for my boyfriend and I at 10:45 AM for delivery, he has to leave for work at 12:15. I had ordered delivery before and it always arrived between 20-40 minutes (which I always thought was awesome). This time, however, was not the case. After an hour and a half, I had to call and cancel the order because no one would be at the house to get it or eat it. I had to speak to the delivery driver who was "only 3 minutes away" when it was time to cancel the order and honestly I felt awful to have to do that because I have been there, I was a pizza delivery driver for years and that's a crappy feeling when you know you're going to lose a tip because of something out of your own control. And I don't fault the restaurant, I'm still giving them 4 stars, I just think that if you're under a time restriction like I was, just go pick it up because you never know with delivery times... read more

This is my second time having food from this place. The food is decent for Chinese delivery. However the second time that I ordered food from this place, I had a bit of a difficult time understanding the man over the phone. I asked him to repeat some of my order because his accent was a little heavy and was getting rude with me. After completing the order over the phone, I was told that the order would be delivered from 45 to 50 minute's. It was over 30 minutes late, and the delivery driver had me sign the receipt as I purchased the order over the phone prior to this delivery. I didn't leave a tip because the food was very late. As I was finishing signing which the large delivery man who drove a small car was staring at me signing instantly caught an attitude with me, Told me 'I only make 6 dollars an hour' In an annoyed manner and I told him if you don't like your job then find another one, it's not my responsibility to tip you because I don't have to, especially since my food was late and had cut into my plans, which I didn't have enough time left after. The large tall delivery man who drives a small car called me a 'cheap ass' and I told him f u. I also want to note he parked almost in the middle of the street while arguing with me for over a minute because I didn't give him a tip. I called the Chinese restaurant angry and told them about my experience with this individual who just left in such a disrespectful manner, and told the woman who picked up the phone everything that happened. The woman told me that I should have tipped him, which made this experience frustrating even more than it already is. I told her like I told the delivery driver, Its not my responsibility to tip them, I don't have to tip anyone especially if my order was later than the promised time given. She apologized, but it was the type of apology to brush someone off. It's a shame because the food was pretty decent. Before anyone thinks that I'm being a total jerk for not tipping, let me explain. If I were to go to any restaurant, and if the service by the waiter, was very shabby, like if he/she wasn't attending my table with anyone with me, being rude, deliberately Ignoring our table, then I will not tip. Even if I get good service, there are times that I don't tip, either I don't have enough money, or I just don't feel like it. I get that delivery drivers, waiters, etc. Make only about 5ish dollars an hour or completely depend on tips because that could possibly be their only source of income, but I don't have to tip neither does anyone else, especially for crap service. If those kinds of positions are not stable enough to meet your needs and possible wants, then I suggest looking into another career/Job read more

The only place I'll order from in pensacola. I used to drive 30 min to the place when they didn't deliver to my area. Doesn't taste like straight msg like other places, and they have great customer service. I've only ever had them make 1 mistake, and they made up for it very well.
