Dry ass "spare ribs"
Chase A.

Well I usually order from the local Chinese spot near my house. But yesterday I wanted the good Chinese, so I went to shang hai 2. I've had some really good food there before. But this time was terriable. I ordered 4 things. It cost 50 bucks and it was not good. The orange chicken has a stringy like consistency. Implying "its old". The lemein was good but not enough vegetables or pork, considering i ordered PORK lemein. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs. My fav. This was terriable. Down right dry as fook. It was not marinated as it should be. But rather deep fried and tossed in sweet and sour. They also had no A/C So if I worked there I wouldn't give 2 forks about the food either. 2 out of 5. Because I love cheese wonton Get fooked

Egg drop soup

Not gonna lie, these other yelp reviews almost scared me away, but I'm so glad I went here! Quick service and yummy food!! Pretty Cheap too! I think we paid about $20 for everything. Hubby ordered the chicken Lo mein and was pleased. I got the sweet and sour chicken. Super yummy! The fried rice was okay, nothing super fancy. Same with the egg drop soup. Just the typical stuff you get at most Chinese restaurants. But those cheese wontons!!!! OH MY GOSH. Ya'll. Do yourself a favor and get an order of these bad boys! Also- dip them in some sweet and sour sauce. SO GOOD! Portion size was larger than we expected. So you can def share these with others. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the soup and rice were just okay ‍

Worst excuse for chicken hibachi I have ever seen. It is like they have never had it before.

I ordered the General Tso's combo plate and the chicken was not great. It was soggy and there was no spice.

My favorite place for a veggie egg foo yung. They include broccoli and cauliflower with the standard veggies.

Delivery takes way too long. The person who answers the phone needs to give an honest opinion of the time! Very poor timing on the delivery!

I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and decided to check it out for my birthday…read moredinner this year. Four of us went and we all enjoyed it. Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. The atmosphere is good, well lit, roomy booths, very clean and we liked the music.

First time trying this restaurant. There was 4 of us for a late lunch early dinner. The restaurant…read morewas not that busy. It was decorated like a Chinese restaurant would be. Nothing too fancy though. The prices were a bit high. I ordered a curry dish. I was not too thrilled about the taste. Everyone ended up taking the majority of their food to go. I ended up paying for the 4 of us,and it was over $100.00. no way was this considered a top class place , more casual. One dish was a seafood one and it had imitation seafood in it. For the price it should have had some real scallops or lobster. It was fake, and a couple of pieces you had no clue what it was supposed to be. Everyone agreed when we left that there were better places in the Pensacola area and much cheaper. The food I'm sorry was not exceptional or anything I'd have to go back to get. ( Rating due to the service)

The food is definitely above average. I've tried several different Chinese restaurants in the area…read moreand this place is hands down the best. I love their Kung Pao Chicken (spicy), Singapore Noodles (curry), and Mapo Tofu. Those dishes rate a 10 out of 10 (the best). I never place an order without getting these three dishes. That being said, their Sweet & Sour Chicken is not good. They give you some breaded chicken pieces with a side container of sweet sauce. There are no vegetables. When I lived in Chicago years ago, you'd get Sweet & Sour Chicken with pieces of cut up pineapple, green bell pepper and onions. Delicious! And the sauce was already mixed into the chicken, not on the side. I do not recommend Hunan Wok's Sweet & Sour Chicken. I'm really surprised they don't improve this dish. Their egg rolls are okay, nothing spectacular. Average at best. The Shrimp Fried Rice, and other choices of fried rice are excellent. I like their Steamed Dumplings a lot, which comes with sauce. I also like how they package their food in traditional Chinese takeout boxes. One thing that I don't like is that an annoying panhandler named "Patrick" lives outside their door every day of the week, begging for food and money. Patrick has been there for years. It's like a job to him. He has never once failed to hit me up for food and/or money. I have complained numerous times to the Hunan Wok, but nothing has been done about the problem. For whatever reason, the restaurant has been either unable or inept to remove him. The atmosphere is that of a fast food place. Although there are a couple tables if you'd like to sit and eat there, you'll likely be crowded by waiting customers for their food. I wouldn't recommend planning to eat there. The place is small, standing room only. The great food is the best thing about this place. Did I mention that I love their Singapore Soft Noodles? If you like curry, you'll love this dish! It comes with diced onions, shrimp, chicken, carrots and other veggies. Delicious! Overall, I highly recommend the Hunan Wok. Their prices are very reasonable, the employees are friendly, and the food is mostly great. And by the way, before I forget, THEY ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The food quality is the same. There used to be a troublesome Chinese woman who worked there taking orders, who gave customers a hard time, but she is long gone. So, if you haven't been to the place for over a year, I'd go back and check it out. They've improved.

We ordered our usuals and were hoping for the best and that's what we got. It was absolutely delicious. I got the steamed chicken and shrimp with vegetables and a order of a side of garlic sauce and it was fantastic. My husband loved the egg rolls And the chicken teriyaki. The pork egg foo yong was really good. I ordered a side of gravy because I didn't know how much they would give me, but there was plenty. Really good food!
