This bento place was so good. I loved the purple rice, the egg omelet, mandoo, bulgogi, chapchae, anchovies and basically everything that was in that bento. I think the value for the price was very good. It made me very full and it was also just really delicious. The store is very small with just one table and an ordering counter. They do sell a lot of different types of Kim Chee there, too, in their big refrigerators. I highly recommend their bentos. read more

This is a great spot to grab kimbap or Korean side dishes (banchan). There's a little seating inside, but it's mainly a grab-and-go place since most of the food is already prepared. The prices are much cheaper than other kimbap spots, and they also serve bento boxes that are super good! The service is great too! Bulgogi Kimbap: The portion size is generous and filled with lots of fresh veggies. It's the classic kimbap flavor and tastes really fresh. They also have other kimbap varieties, this one is definitely my favorite. Kimchi: Their freshly made kimchi comes in different sizes. We tried the smaller one, and it was delicious! The portion is great, and it has that classic, authentic kimchi flavor. Korean Pancakes: You get a mix of chive, mung bean, and kimchi pancakes. Pork bulgogi, Kalbi, Squid Bentos and Gimbap BEYOND incredible. Just wow! I didn't know this delightful little spot existed and I'm so glad a friend discovered it for us! They make these amazing huge loaded Korean bentos with every delicious little treat you can imagine. And the bulgogi and kalbi were so flavorful and tender and perfectly done. I'm obsessed with all the sides--everything hit! Each box also comes with a few pieces of gimbap, but we also ordered a couple rolls extra on the side, all of which was amazing! It's funny but our overall favorite bite of the box was the little brick dessert thing--I have no idea what it was, but it's this little spongy cake like thing with red bean and nuts in it and it was just so good I would totally buy pounds of it! Another late review but had takeout. I got the galbi lunch set. It came with a large amount of side dishes including slices of rolled egg, japchae, mandu, and some other banchan. A little pricy but mostly fair for the portion size. It sounds like they make most of their boxes to order because after I ordered, they asked that I return in 20 minutes. The store is small but has multiple refrigerators full of banchan and while I was waiting to order, several older Korean grandparents walked in and grabbed more kimchi jars than I thought possible to carry by one's self. I didn't super like the soup but overall, everything was fairly tasty. The packaging was also very neat and functional. There's so many great options in Carrollton that getting to try a real small business was definitely worth the wait. read more

I am surprised that this place hasn't been reviewed yet on Yelp. I found this place as I was looking for a place that sells premade Korean side dishes. I already tried banchanara which was amazing. And I saw someone posting about this place and it looked clean, appetizing and inviting. I came on Tuesday morning and their fridge were filled with kimchi, various side dishes (everything is labeled in Korean). They also had some kimbab rolls available but when I inquired about their bento box the person who rang me up told me that I need to preorder them. Which is weird. How is it not made as you order and they don't even posted a phone number for their store. I just opted to try some of their side dishes, soup and kimbab. But even though the kimbab tasted not too bad. I could tell it was not freshly made. Could it be some left over rolls from the previous day even? Then the worst part. The soup was rotten! I am not sure for how long it has been left in their fridge but it was food poisoning dangerously rotten soup. Even though this place clean, nice and inviting! But the fact that they don't check their dishes regularly and straight out sell me rotten food makes me not want to come back or even recommend this place. There is another new store that just opened and sells side dishes. Or if you want really good and freshly made side dishes. Go to banchannara across the street. read more

We tried all four of the Special Bento boxes to go and they were all pretty good. My favorite was the Galbi (additional charge) and least favorite was the spicy pork as it was pretty plain. The sides were sufficient and they offered plenty of rice. The to go bento box was awesome as it made me feel like I was eating at the restaurant. They were out of Samgag Kimbap so I tried the Tuna Kimbap and I won't make that mistake again. It was canned tuna and wasn't very appetizing. The whole menu increased $2-4 per item since last year so that's a bummer. read more

Great healthy lunch option in Carrollton k-town. This small establishment is new to the hmart plaza and is serving up authentic korean side dishes along with bentos and kimbap. There is a refrigerator section with premade banchan such as kimchi, fermented beans, pickled garlic stem and much more. It is made for to-go orders only with a just a small table to sit at while you wait for your food. We ordered the VIP special bento. You can choose between bulgogi, pork and kalbi (additional $2 charge). It comes with a wide variety of side dishes that change depending on the day. We came as soon as it opened around 10:30 am and the lady said they weren't fully prepared so it is probably best to come later in the day to get a better selection of side dishes. We also got the tuna and traditional kimbaps. They use the purple rice in the kimbap. The tuna kimbap had a kick to it due to jalapeños. Overall everything tasted fresh, delicious and healthy. I FINALLY FOUND THIS PLACE!! I must have circled HMart plaza two times-- don't trust Google or Yelp Maps, it is nestled in the strip behind Yasijang and Sing Box, and worth tracking down. Very homey and small batch type of food prep that I can appreciate. As such, you will get quality ingredient prepared as you would get it if you were to visit their home. There is a special parking spot just for pick up for this place which makes it convenient. There isn't a lot of table seating - it's more like one table so don't expect to get much indoor dining action. The original kimbab includes hot dog as the protein with spinach, egg, pickles and lots of sesame oil outside. The foil it was wrapped in was quite oily though. Just one order of the gimbap was enough for a light and healthy lunch! I would try their other items next time (like the sweet fermented rice drink that they had in limited quantity). read more

Bapdoduk is a to-go Korean food establishment that have variety of banchans (side dishes), soups, and some mains. I was going on a picnic so I stopped by to pick up their basic level spicy pork bento box. Korean bento boxes are hard to find and I believe this is the only place that have them. I was expecting the bento boxes to be pre-made as that is the nature of bento boxes, but to my surprise they were freshly made to order. It took about 10 minutes for them to make two bento boxes. I also picked up a couple of their pre made soup (soy bean stew and minced tofu soup) for later. I ate the bento box about two hours later and it was absolutely delicious and was packed with different types of banchans which were fun to eat. The pork was very tender and rice was plenty, I couldn't finish it all in one setting so it served me two meals. For $15, this is a great deal for a warm, fresh bento box with quality and care. Next time I may try their deluxe bento box, in which the difference is the addition of a serving of soup of the day. Both of their pre-made soups tasted great and served me several meals as well. This is a great place to stop by if you need to stock up on Korean food that you want to eat throughout the week, and I highly recommend getting their bento box for your picnic or event needs! read more

New place that opened up in the last month- after having tried out all the kimbaps at the various locations around here (Ajumma Deli, Korean Street Eats, HMart, etc), this place has the BEST kimbap at $5 a pop for a massive roll of seaweed, rice, fish cake, crab, perilla leaf, radish, and more ingredients. This is not to say that the other places are bad, but the kimbap here really do stand out relatively. Kimbap options include tuna salad (the best one which has a spicy kick to it), bulgogi (still pretty freaking good), and traditional kimbap. One of these can easily feed a person and maybe have some leftover if you don't eat too much like I do! Other menu items included an onigiri (I don't recall the Korean name for it, but this was out of stock), bentos ($13 per, looked really good and will come back for in the future), and bibimbap. The store also has a wide variety of Korean side dishes but there are only Korean labels w/o prices so you would most likely have to ask the front about pricing. 10/10 will come back for really good kimbap. read more

I love this place! I pick up a bento box or a kim bap or two from here once a week. It is a deli and not a sit down restaurant. I usually call to place my order and it is usually ready for pick up in 15 minutes. There are 2 types of bentos. One with soup and one without. The soup varies from week to week. Your choices of bentos are beef bulgogi, spicy pork and spicy squid. I have had all 3 and you can't go wrong with any of them. They all came with several side dishes. It is enough for 2 meals for me. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always fresh! They only used purple rice which is my favorite. I don't know if it is healthier than white but that is the only rice they use. Not only is the food fresh, it is delicious !!! They also sell different kimchis and side dishes. They packaged and stored in a couple of the refrigerated cases on the left hand side of the store. There is 1 table with chairs but I have never seen a customer sitting there. I have seen employees sitting there to eat.
