Sweet heat burger with sweet potato fries

This whole restaurant just screams average. The decor is average, food average, cleanliness average. There was only one lady working the whole front of house. You order up at the bar they where out of a few things but nothing major. They give you tiny tiny tinyyyy little glasses for your drink. We started with the garlic bread hedgehog. It was tasted but not something I'd come back here for. I also got the sweet heat burger with sweet fries. Again all very average. The burger didn't have much flavor and the sweet fries where overdone. There's no reason to come here. Go to beer project you'll leave a lot happier

Stopped in on a Thursday evening for a beer and some appetizers. The place is within Whole Foods and was not crowded. Played a couple games of pool before sitting at the bar. The billiard table closed at 7pm to stage a two hour trivia contest. A number of people arrived for the contest filling the bar. Staff was attentive and friendly as we ordered. The atmosphere is very casual and as you might expect first class. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and an ok appetizer menu. Food came out promptly, ordered wings and frings, the wings were ok but small. The frings (fries and onion rings) were good , came with two sauces. I wouldn't hesitate to return and try an entree.

I havent tried a lot of menu items here but I will vouch for their margaritas. They are small but pack a punch. You can expect to pay $10 per drink so I will usually stop for only one when I'm feeling up for it. The bar is clean and modern along with the dining seating. The bartenders have always been friendly. They also write on the menu when the tap lines are cleaned which is pretty nice to know.

When you're hangry but you need to shop. Stop and have a drink and order some food. There's a nice long list of local micro brews and Kombucha from Barrel and Brine on tap. Also they notify you when the tap lines were last cleaned (thank you). Ten days ago/- not bad! Try the Elder Flower rose kombucha! Delish! The menu is pretty broad, lots of veggie options and nice selection of snacks. My salad was good and no Complaints. The restaurant itself is comfortable with fresh flowers on the table (nice touch). There's a pool table and two large TVs showing sports. All in all, the food's kinda expensive but you're at Whole Foods so what do you expect.

after the foam had settled after 8 minutes on his "deal of a beer"....come on man. You're a bartender you know this isn't acceptable

Okay we wanted to love it here. I was excited this was my first time here and also at Whole Foods. We came into the bar for a drink & food. We got beers...the bartender poured a Sticky Trees beer for my BF and it was half foam...so he poured another glass and handed him two glasses. He was like "I think you made out on that deal man" ummmm actually he had to wait for the foam to settle on TWO glasses, and it is clearly the bottom and is kicked. Not only should that not have been served but it should NOT have been charged. We got burgers...because he ordered a fried chicken sandwich and they were "out" of that. Which, this is literally inside of a grocery store how is that even possible? If you're out of something you should always tell the people ahead of time before they order. So we ordered our burgers medium. They are VERY thick burgers and they were both super well done. Super disappointing. The fries were okay, the pickles were very good. My overall reaction is please do not serve a beer when the keg is clearly kicked....and put it in two glasses with half foam and say we "made out on that deal" when no we clearly did NOT. I wouldn't come back here unless it was to grocery shop. Even then, it's cool but Wegmans is honestly better, way more of a selection.

Next to, and accessible from, Whole Foods is this cafe/burger joint/ bar. It's large and has all sorts of seating, and a full bar. The menu has some local goods on it, which is great. That partnering will be appreciated by all of us. It's open and bright. Very comfortable and relaxed all around. There were both shoppers and lunchers only when I was here. There is some outside seating here too. A few TVs show games, but on low or mute. No loud radio either. It's a smaller menu which I gather they will be modifying as needed. It isn't the cheapest menu around but it's ok. Weirdly the fireplace was on this 80degree September day. It'll probably make more sense in December. I can see this place being a success. It was busy when I was here and busier the last time when I considered coming in.

    Looking forward to my burger

My cheeseburger was served with a couple of thick pickle slices and a mini- mountain of crinkle cut fries. The burger was cooked to medium rare and was almost hot when served. It was very good, although I would have liked it a bit hotter, temperature-wise. This seems like a very nice place to go sit and eat either before or after grocery shopping. My friend purchased food from the hot bar in the grocery section and was welcome to bring it into 1818 to eat it.

Chicken wings (Texas BBQ) are WACK and I'm positive all their wings are similar. Cauliflower tacos were cool , different but the tortillas were cold and diminished the meal. Beer selection is on point. Don't sit by the bar on summer evenings, the giant windows will make you uncomfortable.

Classic burger with sweet potato fries. Looks like it would be good, but unfortunately very dry and flavorless.

We really wanted to like this place but ended up disappointed. We like to stop by Whole Foods every now and then to get a few fun cheeses or desserts so we decided to try Bar 1818. It's an attractive, casual setup with various seating options and even a pool table. You order at the bar and then food is delivered to your table. The one real positive throughout our experience was the service - the cashier helpfully explained a few menu options, and the waitress was very attentive despite it not being a traditional table service setup. Unfortunately that's where the positives end - we ordered two classic burgers with regular fries and sweet potato fries, an app of Buffalo wings, and a chocolate shake. The Buffalo wings and shake were average - not great, but a mediocre version that's at least not actively unpleasant to eat. The burgers were VERY disappointing. They looked good and the buns were high quality, but the burgers themselves were so dry. I don't know if the meat mix is incredibly lean or what, but our burgers were not juicy or flavorful at all despite us ordering them medium rare and rare. Overall led to a really disappointing meal. We might return at some point and try something else on the menu, but honestly there are such numerous food options in the immediate area that we probably won't risk it.

The classic burger...with the addition of cheddar cheese!

Service/atmosphere: sat at the bar.. the bartender was very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks came out quickly. Ordered: cocktail: dirty palmer...very sweet but a nice take on one of my favorite summer drinks! For food: black and blue burger and the classic burger with of course the addition of cheese!...they definitely know how to cook a burger! Perfectly juicy! Also I need to note that I appreciate the size of their burgers...the exact size of a burger I want...not too big yet not too small. Overall: I definitely would come back. It's a nice spot to grab something quick and fresh to eat. ALSO...they have posted when their tap lines have last been cleaned...a very nice touch!!

I had to stop in to pick up from the Amazon Locker, which is really convenient in itself, packages arrive earlier. I was walking out and looked at the menu board and decided "Why not?" I'd always wanted to try this. When I entered I was the only customer, so I walked up to the bar and double checked the menu. I ordered the Black & Blue burger with a side of fries. The fries were a side order, $3.00 but you only live once right? I sat down and looked over the list of local brews then rather quickly my food came. On looks this was a fine burger, over a half inch thick, dressed with fresh greens and the roll was fresh and not flattened. Definitely passed the eye test. The burger was juicy, not greasy and the flavor was great. The meat was very fresh and the Black and Blue were present but not overwhelming. Fries were crisp, not greasy and plentiful. Price was slightly higher than most similar places, but the quality justifies it in my belief. Will definitely return to try other items. The restaurant itself is decorated to be pleasant but not gaudy. First impression was good. Bartender had a great personality and was friendly.

Very impressed with this cute little restaurant! Before a long grocery shopping haul at Whole Foods I decided to stop and grab some dinner and the options are very intriguing. I may plan on spending some summer afternoons here solely for their boozy milkshakes and buffalo cauliflower bites! My first time here I opted for a veggie burger that had a spicy jalapeño mayo, cilantro and cheese- definitely a wonderful blend and highly recommend. My favorite though was the elderflower kombucha- I've never had one so smooth and just delightful. I hear it's a favorite for many! The beer/ drink options are just one reason why i would come back. Did I mention there are vegan options too? :)

    Classic burger.

I really like their classic burger. They cook it to order, it's more than large enough for me, and I like the grass fed beef. I also like their roll. Plus, while I enjoy the other sides, you can get a salad instead for the same price. Which is awesome. And it's a good sized salad, too. The burger is nicely seasoned, as well. Simple, but good. Probably my favorite basic burger is lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard or mayo depending on my mood, pickle on the side. But the burger itself has to be good, no matter what's on it, and this one is.

Then it took way too long just for water and she forgot the lemon slices we asked for and had to make multiple trips before we even ordered. We ordered the ribs, duck wings and baked rigatoni. My friend enjoyed the rigatoni but couldn't finish it and gave it to her daughter. The child bit into the garlic bread and found some type of nylon strings we determined were bristles from a cooking brush. The manager was apologetic but offered no recompense for this! To make it up to the child we thought maybe a dessert was good and ordered the brownie. My friend's daughter found a hair in it! I was horrified and embarrassed since I recommended the place. When the server brought the bill, I asked for the manager and he came to the table and then was truly dumbfounded, and offered nothing for this truly gross series of events. In fact he kept muttering how this has not happened twice at one table, and almost seemed...suspicious? My friend suggested he go think about it and come back which he did. He did offer one explanation and I am not making this up, this was all the result of the server "not feeling well" and he whispered "you know that time of the month". That was the end for me. I got the bill, they gave us a small discount and we left. All I can say is mediocrity and misogyny have found another home. I've dined here and at other locations across the country and until today I thought they had good food and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this location is not what it once was and I certainly won't be back for dinner or dessert.
