Food portion was small. Chef salad was unlike anything we've ever seen. No meat or cheese. Simply lettuce and tomatoes. Awful

Finally got a chance to eat here for an early breakfast, it's next to my go to Chinese food joint so I've seen it but never opened. Nice clean space with booths, tables and a counter area. Nice old family run restaurant! Old but clean. I got the mushroom, onion, feta cheese omelette and i added gyro for $2:00. It was good but had a hard time finding the gyro and the omelette was flat not fluffy but good. Friendly service. If I'm out that way again i would keep it in mind! read more

First off, the food is fantastic. I am all about greasy spoon diners, and this place manages to pair the great food of a classic diner with a clean, well-lit, and well maintained space. Every staff member we have met has been friendly and helpful, even on Sundays when they are super busy. Your coffee is always refilled, your food is out quickly, and you don't feel rushed out the door. I've tried several of the omelettes, and they are consistently perfectly cooked and flavorful. The baba ghanoush is to die for, and is not to be missed. The souvlaki was good, I just wish there was more of it. Not their strongest dish, but the rest of the menu more than makes up for it. A friend and I had lunch to catch up. We chose here because some of the other places we wanted to go were closed on Labor Day. My friend comes here often and suggested it. I ordered the open chicken souvlaki. It was ok. I really love Alton's open chicken souvlaki, and I think once you have that there is no going back. The pita was delicious.. I had no idea this place was even here until our parents invited us for breakfast today. It's located in the plaza near Sheridan/Eggert so it's a pretty convenient location to get to if you're in the northtowns area. It was pretty quiet around 9 am but was picking up as we were leaving. Prices were good - average for a family diner. I ordered the 2 eggs and bacon breakfast that came with toast and hash browns or home fries. I added cheese to my scrambled eggs after seeing a photo on yelp that made it look so good. I was not wrong they were really good. The bacon was done but not burnt to a crisp- perfect. Full disclosure- we passed this place looking for it even with a GPS. It is hidden in a strip of shops but the gem is AMAZING! A couple run this restaurant together and it's obvious the food is homemade. We had the sausage gravy and biscuits and the corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns. Everything tasted amazing! This place could probably be best described as hidden in plain sight. I've probably driven by this place a dozen times since they moved in a month ago without ever noticing it was there. We stopped in with a foursome for breakfast this morning and I was pretty impressed. The space isn't huge, but it's decent size, well decorated, and seems to be very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt, it's the kind of place where they never really let your coffee get below half full. The prices were have excellent also. I went with a spinach, mushroom, onion, and feta omelette and enjoyed it a lot. The home fries (with onions) and coffee were great too. I'd like to reserve judgement for another visit or two, but this feels like it could be a real hidden gem. read more

Stopped in for lunch. The owner/server was friendly. Ambiance was nonexistent, but reviews said their pancakes were great. A lot of Greek options on the menu. Decided to give it a shot. My spouse got a roast beef Manhattan, I got a grilled feta and tomato sandwich with onion rings, and my daughter got chicken tenders and fries. I had hesitations when I started hearing microwaves going off consistently and a few minutes later our food was brought out. The onion rings were breaded, not beer battered. Fries weren't home made, nor the chicken tenders. Basically everything we got was frozen and nuked and/or aldi pre-made and heated up. The beef Manhattan was 2 pieces of regular white bread, some grocery store roast beef slices, jarred gravy, and Bob Evans mashed potatoes. My grilled cheese was cold. They grilled a small piece of pita for some colour basically. The sandwich had a smattering of crumbled feta, and sliced tomato. That's it. It was sour and cold. My spouse declared it all very mid. Chicken was tasty, but again..it's frozen tenders anyone can get from the store. And we paid $50 for lunch for things we could have microwaved or cooked better at home. On top of that, my spouse now has food poisoning. Right after eating there, they started feeling awful and has spent a lot of time in the bathroom since. That meal was the only thing they had eaten. Granny's is your typical Greek diner joint. Located in a small strip plaza on Sheridan, it offers all the usual things you would find. I sat at the counter and was welcomed with hot coffee. The place is very clean! I had a feta and mushroom omelette with hash browns and rye toast. It was delivered fast and delicious. I heard someone say they have been open a little over a year and they seem to have found their niche. Everything was good and the regulars were wishing Merry Christmas. I took my one-year-old son on a Mommy--Son breakfast date and to meet up with a friend along with her daughter. We ordered the 2 eggs, 2 types of meat, and 2 pancakes or French toast meal for $10.99 and coffee for $2.50. The server was fantastic. She knew right when I walked in to grab a highchair, move the chair, and place the high chair next to me before I even sat down. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in the dining room. The food was delivered fresh, hot, and fast. My son and I enjoyed everything we ordered. Everyone in the restaurant, including other patrons, was friendly and that says a lot about the place. Granny's is 1000 times better than the Greek to Me place across Sheridan. So, I give this place a solid three. Which is to say, our experience there was good, the food was good, the service good. The price was fair. Why a three? Honestly? Nothing really stood out. A friend was staying in town and the morning of her flight back home, she wanted to stop at a breakfast place. So we indulged and ended up here. I got the kafta and eggs. My kafta was alright, but the spice and cooking was inconsistent. Honestly, if they all tasted like the last one I ate, this would be a four star. But this isn't too say it was bad. Just not consistent. The hash browns were a little underdone for my taste, but still fine. The eggs were eggs. My Partner got the Belgian waffle with strawberry. She was disappointed that they didn't use real strawberry, but otherwise liked her breakfast. Overall, it was a solid three experience. Not bad, not stellar. whoo.. where do I begin. I just arrived in town and wanted to take my relatives out for a nice breakfast to catch up. Everyone got what they wanted and the food arrived. A mess up of toast and at the cost of under $3 bucks World War III almost started. The kitchen placed white toast on a celiac plate, of which should not have been on the plate. That rye toast was placed on the other breakfast plate. However, she ordered Wheat. We told the server, and they fixed a new set of toast for everyone. BUT, because we kept the toast, they proceeded to charge us $3 for the new round of toast. Lots of shouting began. The mistake happened in the kitchen, caught with the additional charge at the register. What should have happened here...... The "TIE" should have gone to the customer. The restaurant should have apologized, got the new toast, either removed immediately the toast, or permitted the customer keep it. It was a mistake from the kitchen. It would have been a pleasant addition to the customer, since the customer did not get what they ordered. The server said we kept the bread, and escalated to the affect of not coming back. It was really uncalled for. I am told the eggs were good, but my chick dish had no Greek flavors to it. In the end, I was disappointed in my food choice. Regardless of the lack of the invite, I will not be back on my next trip to Buffalo, and it appeared that no one was in charge at the restaurant to make any decisions. If I want Greek food, I would go somewhere else. Just not a fan! read more

I recently checked this place out and was overall happy with it! It lost a star because it was cold inside (granted, it was one of the coldest days of the year), but other than that we had a good experience. We ordered items off the lunch menu, including soup (beef barley and chicken noodle) which were homemade and delicious and also an open souvlaki and falafel wrap. We were pleased with both. Jackie the owner was super friendly and nice, and made us feel welcomed. They recently moved from North Tonawanda, and we like this new location better, more spacious and more seating. read more

I have never had a bad meal here. Today is really the best meal. Crab cakes benedict. And gyro omelette. Coffee is always solid too.
