I parked at the Beverly Connection, $4 for the whole evening via SpotHero. There's also valet right outside the restaurant if you don't want to walk about 10 minutes. I got what I wanted out of this experience (the pudding), but I wouldn't say this was an outstanding meal or dining experience. If they think they can charge their current prices, they should brush up on table setting etiquette (plating, flatware, etc.) and be sure to promptly serve - kiss the asses of, even - the patrons whom they expect to shell out their hard-earned money at this surprisingly long-standing establishment.

We let him know that we could see how much he was juggling and that we were perfectly happy being patient. They definitely need to invest in some misters/fans, especially during the summer (it's also 2026). I asked the host if we could be moved indoors since I could visibly see multiple open seats. She told me no because those seats were reserved for "4 people," which didn't really make sense to me when I could literally see with my own two eyes that several of the indoor tables were occupied by parties of two. When I pointed that out, she didn't really have anything to say back. The whole interaction honestly left a bad impression of the restaurant as a whole. I don't want to assume anything, but it did make me question whether racial identity may have played a part in how we were treated, especially after noticing that the guests seated inside appeared to be non-POC. I ended up asking the host AGAIN if we could please be moved inside because I genuinely couldn't bear the heat anymore, and she was finally able to accommodate us with an indoor seating. Also, especially on busy weekends and during events like Dine LA, I think they should consider having two hosts instead of just one. It seemed like a lot for one person to manage. I was so full but could not stop eating this rich sauce over sage cream sauce and dried sage leaves. The roasted carrots were a nice accompaniment with our meal over a puffed feta bed sprinkled generously with pistachio and dill. Despite being full, we were still able to get through about half of the Chocolate Olive Oil Cake which was fluffy and soft with a chocolate ganache to pour over the top. I wouldn't have minded if this came with gelato or ice cream, just a tad but it was still a solid dessert. I do wish they had some non-alcoholic items like hot tea or coffee or espresso to go with dessert, they only had alcoholic offerings. Prior to beginning dinner, we did order some drinks. The hot dog itself was perfectly cooked but it lacked that beautiful snap that you expect from a great sausage, it was beefy and rich, maybe too much after all it was wagyu, so it felt fatty, no disrespect to either but it had the flavor profile of the Oscar Mayer all beef franks, I would know, those are the ones in my fridge, it was obviously slightly better tasting and a bit bigger, just like a cleaner version. The caviar tasted great, mostly on its own, but it didn't do enough to cut through the fat and richness of the beefy weeny.
