Always something new on the menu

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in the area -always a good vibe and the food is incredible. The menu changes with the season -highly recommend you make a reservation now!

Chicken liver mousse

Stopped here for a little dinner before a show and was delighted to enjoy a delicious country style French meal in an outdoor seating that was more than cozy. An "Al fresco" seating area is equipped with lovely radiant heat that kept the drizzly night from getting us down. We began with escargot and a chicken liver mousse that was rich, velvety and just luscious. A petit hanger steak, cooked to perfection and a plate of handmade cheese filled pasta pillows served with a rich lamb ragout was just what I needed to satisfy my voracious appetite. Attentive server and beautiful decor keeps this place on the top of my fine dining list. BTW, the craft cocktail Bees Knees was a delicious blend of Bar Hill gin with a cinnamon simple syrup and dash of nutmeg was just perfect

Im afraid i confused Bar Bouchee with Cafe Routier!!!!! Ive been to both and both FABULOUS but the pics here are Cafe Routier Le cuisinière est magnifique !!!! il y a un place endroit confortable et décontracté, mais le nourritures est extraordinaire !!! and of course they speak English the food is wonderful and authentic French cuisine

Shrimp salad special

We adore Bar Bouchee but I think what makes it exceptional is Christine, one of the waitresses. She makes every meal there fee like I've flown across the ocean and am back in France. Best escargot but the shrimp special this time was the star of the show! We bring our son, who's 6, and he is always fine there but I wouldn't necessarily say it's kid-friendly inside.

Came here for new years. The Staff and the food were amazing. The place looked good dressed up for the holidays as well.

Best place on the shoreline for dinner. Not for a quiet romantic dinner! For all those that say It is loud - IT's A BAR!

Pretentious little shoebox filled with annoying twats. Lots of wine on the menu. Precious little in the way of food.

My son let me know this restaurant serves Arethusa Farms ice cream, which is heaven on earth!…read moreImmediately, my husband and I were triggered with heightened curiosity. We visited Arethusa Farms years ago, and we felt like pioneers discovering gold. I digress. I loved our experience at Le Mazet. The food is scrumptious and although the environ is cozy and has an inviting feel of a warm country cottage, the refined service is on par with the legendary Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC (not to be mistaken for the hotel flag). Chef's kiss to Jared and his inimitable staff!

I made a reservation for our visit and was seated promptly at a beautiful table near the front door. The entire dining area is gorgeous--so much attention to detail. Service throughout our meal was attentive and friendly. I had the boeuf bourguignon and it was so tender and seasoned perfectly. I also had the bread service, featuring sourdough from Small State Provisions--the perfect accompaniment to this hearty stew. We both drank Le Poney Roses, which were balanced and beautiful--a fabulous mocktail that really embodies the spirit of a cocktail. We weren't rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I will be back for more!

Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the kitchen. At one point, I noticed servers handling bread with their hands and then bringing out food without washing them, which was honestly unpleasant to see while sitting at my table. It made the overall experience feel less comfortable than it should have been. I'd still come back for the food, but I really hope the service and hygiene standards improve.

I was traveling for work and shared a meal with my coworker at a'vert brasserie on a Tuesday night…read more The restaurant was pretty empty unlike some of the other popular restaurants in the area. We were seated by the window and were given freshly baked bread. We ordered the French classics: mussels, escargot, duck leg confit, and steak and fries. The mussels came out first and were pretty average. I usually like sipping the wine broth it comes with or dipping fries/bread into the broth. The escargot had plenty of oil and seasoning. It was actually too salty even though my coworker requested less salt on everything. I enjoyed dipping the fresh bread into the oil. Lastly came the entrees. I was a bit disappointed in both of them. The hanger steak was cooked medium rare like I wanted but the texture was not great. I was hoping for a more tender cut and this was a bit tough and lean. The frites were cooked well and very crispy. The duck confit was very tender but I didn't think it was amazing. Overall I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant with so many other great options around. I might be biased as I am not too familiar with French cuisine but we already sampled most of the classics already.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about La Plage Bistro! This little local gem truly exceeded…read moreevery expectation! I hosted my daughter's bridal shower here in mid-May 2026, and from start to finish, everything was exceptional. From the expert guidance and thoughtful suggestions of the bistro managers, Kristi and Whitney, to the incredibly professional and attentive servers, and the talented chef and kitchen staff, every detail was handled flawlessly. The décor is whimsical and beautiful, with large doors that open onto a charming patio area. The bar is spacious and elegant, making it the perfect setting for our Spritz Bar, which was beautifully displayed and expertly managed. We hosted a large group of 60 women, and the table arrangement allowed everyone to mingle comfortably while still having plenty of space to move around. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even helping with setup and moving a banquette to create the perfect backdrop area for photos. And the food!! Absolutely fabulous! Our menu choices included: Rigatoni with Flambéed Baby Shrimp, Steak and Eggs, Chicken Paillard, or Branzino with Haricots Verts Almondine, with thoughtful options for gluten-free guests and vegetarians. Impressively, the kitchen managed to serve all meals at the same time; a true testament to their professionalism. Dessert was a stunning custom cake by The Frosted Rose Bakery who created a work of art from a photo I provided. They delivered the cake directly to the bistro, which made everything so seamless. The staff served it alongside ice cream, and we also enjoyed family-style platters of fresh fruit at each table. Friends and family are still raving about the event and the venue. A heartfelt thank you to Kristi, Whitney, and Wayne for creating such a memorable and beautifully executed celebration. I will absolutely be recommending this special place to anyone looking to host an event, or simply enjoy a fantastic meal.
