This restaurant is mostly outdoor sitting in the Hidden Valley in downtown. There is plenty of paid parking a block over. If you are coming here for what you have seen on Instagram, see the menu recently uploaded. They have a new menu. It's small and not everything provided in the past is available. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The tip is also included in the bill. There are a lot of other restaurants around this one that I feel could be a lot better.

So I've gotten into the habit of following different restaurants on Instagram and drooling over the photos they post. So somehow I came across Var Da Villa and knew I wanted to check it out when I was going to be visiting Miami. My friends and I came in around 8pm on a Friday evening. We were excited to dine somewhere away from South Beach. There is a great outside seating area; however, it was a fairly chilly evening so we opted to sit inside. We were immediately greeted by the bartender who was friendly and had a bubbly personality. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. We checked out the menus and decided on our drinks and entrees. The drink I ordered was tasty. For my meal I ordered the Pichana Completa ($15)which is a steak that came with rice, beans, and French fries. The steak was cooked to perfect and was totally filling. Our server was friendly and attentive; however he was not that knowledgeable/ had a hard time explaining some of the items on the menu. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and I'd definitely return. I know that on certain nights they have live music and salsa dancing. I'd definitely return and would love to come on a warmer evening so I could sit outside. I totally recommend this to anyone who is in Miami and looking for a good Brazilian meal.

We had finished dinner at a near by restaurant and decided to walk around and stumbled upon Bar Da Vila. The place is cozy with plenty of outdoor seating. We had few caipirinha drinks made with sake, because the place doesn't not have liquor license. John, out server/bar tender is from Holland, spoke Portuguese and English and was super accommodating. He told was to return later on , when they have live music with upbeat vibe all night long. We will return and check it out very soon

Picanha was really good. Highly recommend with a truffle fries. Victoria and Ana the best! They make you feel like an important guests and give you the best service. Special thanks to the band Grupo to de Boa who makes you feel like you in Brazil.

4/5 Good Brazilian restaurant in downtown Miami. It's difficult to find if you're simply walking through downtown since it's inside the Village. Overall, pleasant experience here. Good food with generous portions, vibrant atmosphere and super friendly and attentive waiters. Pricing is quite good for the big portions! Drinks: Strawberry caipiwine: it was good, but it reminded me slightly of a strawberry flavored manishewitz. Kiwi caipiwine: this one was much better. Would definitely recommend if you like kiwi! Dishes: Caldinho feijoada: A little disappointing since neither the beans nor the meat were particularly tasty. Chicken strogonoff: tasty chicken and mushrooms in a nice creamy tomato sauce. Accompanied by tiny sized potato chips, super delicious. Such a huge portion that I was able to get full after eating half of the entree, taking the rest to go. Picanha completa: Very delicious cut of picanha with fries, rice, and beans. Got the medium rare pretty spot on, nice and seated on the outside and red on the inside. Beef was nice and tender. We didn't order dessert because we were too full, but the options looked good! After we finished our meal, we were treated to a drink with kahlua and baileys. The drink was great! Great experience at this restaurant, will definitely come back, especially when they have live music!

The place is adorable and I really was excited to try the menu as it seemed to be authentic Brazilian food. But I could not understand why the picana was so under seasoned. We asked for the smear to be medium and it came clearly completely cooked thru. The servers was extremely slow and they also were not very pleasant. The shrimp in the cheese sauce was great but I will not be returning

Seems taken out of a movie... it is located in "The Village", an enchanting and whimsical spot that resembles a hidden corner of Europe or Latin America. I was delighted by all that we ordered. The farofa was exquisite and we even got to take home a few perks (maybe because they were going to close and wanted to treat us), we also took home some of their spicy olive oil, and left overs from our dinner. I was gonna give a 4-star review because our medium cooked churrasquinho arrived fully cooked and bit too salty, but... I'll give them chance to redeem themselves. Service is awesome and beers are cold which is a big deal if you are in Miami. Please come by, come very hungry and remember to tip your servers! @francescaMusica

Came here for a quick bite in the end of the day. I ordered camarão gratinado, which is a shrimp dish with a cheese sauce. The taste of the dish was good, but it was clear the shrimps were frozen so there was not much taste to them, shame because the sauce, rice and potatoes were very tasty.

    Pastel de frango com catupiry

Average, maybe less then average! So pricy, we ordered the catupiry camarao, one plate per 24 dolars! It's good, not bad but doesn't worth it! And then we went there because of the racllete cheese thing, it was 12 dollars only the cheese!!!! This is only the cheese, so if u want it with fries, you have to order a side of fries to put the cheese on top of it. I will not come back:) Obs: the pictures of the menu on yelp have different prices then the real one

This is what Miami is all about! Hidden away in a majestic alley, is a welcoming and cool Brazilian restaurant with great food and great service. The chef clearly takes pride in his work, as much of the menu is from scratch and probably the most authentic I've found downtown.

We sat down on our own, seems a bit short staffed. I chose the Sakerinha with Picanha and fries as an appetizer. The food was impeccable, although the service seemed back tracked the whole time. The portions are good for a couple to share and the drink was, a bit heavy on the strawberries and taste of alcohol. The ambiance was casual and has a rustic feel in the alley it is located. Overall, enjoyed the food and experience, has room for improvement.

The food came out in tiny portions, and instead of bringing everything together, they would bring one small dish and then make us wait another 20 minutes for the next item. The entire meal felt disorganized, and we spent most of the time just waiting. What made it worse was that the quality and experience did not match the price at all. Despite the terrible service, we still decided to leave a $20 tip because we understand servers work hard. However, after leaving, I noticed my card was charged $67, which was shocking and very frustrating. This is not how customers should be treated. Slow service, poor communication, disappointing portions, and unclear charges made the entire experience feel like a waste of money. I hope management looks into this because customers deserve better service and transparency.

From there you could barely hear the TV, which made it hard to follow the match or enjoy the experience. The set menu was also a disappointment. I understand it came out to about $55ish per person, but what you actually receive is very minimal: two chicken sliders, a shared charcuterie board with strangers, shared slices of picanha with strangers, and a shared bowl of pão de queijo and two drinks (I don't drink). It felt like because we were seated at the bar and not in the main dining area, we didn't really get the full experience. On multiple occasions staff mentioned they were "so busy," which I understand, but we were consistently told this while waiting for items that never fully came or were delayed. That's not something guests should have to absorb when the issue is seating and organization.

We always go to Chilis but it was packed so we walked down and heard the awesome live Cuban salsa music and decided to stop at La Cañita. We sat at the bar next to where the group was playing music. I ordered their signature La Cañita drink and my boyfriend ordered a margarita. We decided to share their lechón asado. The bartender was very nice and he explained the menu to us very well. The live music was awesome and had me dancing in my chair. The lechón was delicious and came with boiled yucca and fried chicharrón pieces. I definitely would like to come back and try their other menu items the next time we come to a Heat game.

I had the conch fritters and an arugula salad. The salad was fresh and delicious--a 10/10. The conch fritters were about a 5/10 for me. My husband had the oxtail with white rice, beans, and what I believe were plantains. He practically cleaned his plate and said he really enjoyed it, so that was a 10/10 from him. We also had spirit-free drinks, which were also good. Our server, Chris, was pleasant and accommodating without being overbearing, which we appreciated. The establishment was clean, and the ambiance was cool. Unfortunately, the overall experience was affected by the energy we encountered from a couple of staff members. The host who greeted and seated us came across as particularly cold. She also made a comment to someone that my husband could not hear, but the tone and energy of the interaction made us uncomfortable. Shortly afterward, another server approached us asking if we had been helped. When I explained that we had just arrived, his expression and demeanor also struck me as somewhat dismissive. Thankfully, Chris came over shortly after, and the energy immediately shifted. I can't speak to anyone's personal beliefs or intentions, and I don't want to assume what was behind these interactions. However, as a Black woman and an educator, I am very aware of how race, perception, and social identity can influence interactions between strangers. Unfortunately, I left feeling as though we were being viewed or treated differently, and that made it difficult to enjoy the experience fully. It was clear they were the Votaré por Donald Trump, type. To speak plain, self hating LatinX people who hold prejudice over other people of color. Plain ignorant and miserable haciendo sus trabajos modestos! It's also worth noting that the host's political expression was very apparent, which I found particularly interesting given that she was the first person guests encounter. Whatever someone's political beliefs may be, I believe that anyone working in a customer-facing role should make every guest feel welcomed and respected. Overall, the food was good, Chris was wonderful, and the space itself was nice. But hospitality is about more than food and decor; it is also about how people feel when they walk through the door. I hope the owners take that part of the guest experience seriously, because no restaurant benefits when customers leave feeling unwelcome.
