    Rice and fries

I spotted this place while having lunch at the Greek restaurant in front. I told myself I had to come back and try it out. We ordered the coxinha de Franco which is a Brazilian croquette stuffed with cheese, not bad. I also ordered the special chicken parmigiana that came with white rice and fries. The chicken was moist, topped with marinara and cheese. It was excellently executed. The waitress was nice but a bit slow. My coworker explained we were in a bit of a hurry and needed to pay right away and get boxes for our food. Although she acknowledged what we said she still took her sweet time and caused us to be late to work. Well not entirely her fault, I still haven't figured out the metro mover route.

This restaurant is mostly outdoor sitting in the Hidden Valley in downtown. There is plenty of paid parking a block over. If you are coming here for what you have seen on Instagram, see the menu recently uploaded. They have a new menu. It's small and not everything provided in the past is available. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The tip is also included in the bill. There are a lot of other restaurants around this one that I feel could be a lot better.

So I've gotten into the habit of following different restaurants on Instagram and drooling over the photos they post. So somehow I came across Var Da Villa and knew I wanted to check it out when I was going to be visiting Miami. My friends and I came in around 8pm on a Friday evening. We were excited to dine somewhere away from South Beach. There is a great outside seating area; however, it was a fairly chilly evening so we opted to sit inside. We were immediately greeted by the bartender who was friendly and had a bubbly personality. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. We checked out the menus and decided on our drinks and entrees. The drink I ordered was tasty. For my meal I ordered the Pichana Completa ($15)which is a steak that came with rice, beans, and French fries. The steak was cooked to perfect and was totally filling. Our server was friendly and attentive; however he was not that knowledgeable/ had a hard time explaining some of the items on the menu. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and I'd definitely return. I know that on certain nights they have live music and salsa dancing. I'd definitely return and would love to come on a warmer evening so I could sit outside. I totally recommend this to anyone who is in Miami and looking for a good Brazilian meal.

We had finished dinner at a near by restaurant and decided to walk around and stumbled upon Bar Da Vila. The place is cozy with plenty of outdoor seating. We had few caipirinha drinks made with sake, because the place doesn't not have liquor license. John, out server/bar tender is from Holland, spoke Portuguese and English and was super accommodating. He told was to return later on , when they have live music with upbeat vibe all night long. We will return and check it out very soon

Picanha was really good. Highly recommend with a truffle fries. Victoria and Ana the best! They make you feel like an important guests and give you the best service. Special thanks to the band Grupo to de Boa who makes you feel like you in Brazil.

4/5 Good Brazilian restaurant in downtown Miami. It's difficult to find if you're simply walking through downtown since it's inside the Village. Overall, pleasant experience here. Good food with generous portions, vibrant atmosphere and super friendly and attentive waiters. Pricing is quite good for the big portions! Drinks: Strawberry caipiwine: it was good, but it reminded me slightly of a strawberry flavored manishewitz. Kiwi caipiwine: this one was much better. Would definitely recommend if you like kiwi! Dishes: Caldinho feijoada: A little disappointing since neither the beans nor the meat were particularly tasty. Chicken strogonoff: tasty chicken and mushrooms in a nice creamy tomato sauce. Accompanied by tiny sized potato chips, super delicious. Such a huge portion that I was able to get full after eating half of the entree, taking the rest to go. Picanha completa: Very delicious cut of picanha with fries, rice, and beans. Got the medium rare pretty spot on, nice and seated on the outside and red on the inside. Beef was nice and tender. We didn't order dessert because we were too full, but the options looked good! After we finished our meal, we were treated to a drink with kahlua and baileys. The drink was great! Great experience at this restaurant, will definitely come back, especially when they have live music!

The place is adorable and I really was excited to try the menu as it seemed to be authentic Brazilian food. But I could not understand why the picana was so under seasoned. We asked for the smear to be medium and it came clearly completely cooked thru. The servers was extremely slow and they also were not very pleasant. The shrimp in the cheese sauce was great but I will not be returning

Came here for a quick bite in the end of the day. I ordered camarão gratinado, which is a shrimp dish with a cheese sauce. The taste of the dish was good, but it was clear the shrimps were frozen so there was not much taste to them, shame because the sauce, rice and potatoes were very tasty.

    Pastel de frango com catupiry

Average, maybe less then average! So pricy, we ordered the catupiry camarao, one plate per 24 dolars! It's good, not bad but doesn't worth it! And then we went there because of the racllete cheese thing, it was 12 dollars only the cheese!!!! This is only the cheese, so if u want it with fries, you have to order a side of fries to put the cheese on top of it. I will not come back:) Obs: the pictures of the menu on yelp have different prices then the real one

This is what Miami is all about! Hidden away in a majestic alley, is a welcoming and cool Brazilian restaurant with great food and great service. The chef clearly takes pride in his work, as much of the menu is from scratch and probably the most authentic I've found downtown.

We sat down on our own, seems a bit short staffed. I chose the Sakerinha with Picanha and fries as an appetizer. The food was impeccable, although the service seemed back tracked the whole time. The portions are good for a couple to share and the drink was, a bit heavy on the strawberries and taste of alcohol. The ambiance was casual and has a rustic feel in the alley it is located. Overall, enjoyed the food and experience, has room for improvement.

I dine at Fogo de Chão about once a month back home in Georgia, so I already had high expectations, but the level of service here truly exceeded anything I've experienced before. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Manager Sergio was incredibly attentive and made sure everything ran seamlessly throughout our visit. It's clear he takes great pride in his team and the guest experience. Our server, Manuel, was top-notch--professional, friendly, and always one step ahead of our needs. Brandon also stood out with his attentiveness and positive energy, consistently checking in and ensuring we were well taken care of. And Marisabel at the cashier was the perfect finishing touch--warm, efficient, and genuinely kind. The food was just as impressive as the service. The meats were flavorful, well-seasoned, and perfectly prepared. What really stood out was how accommodating the gaucho chefs were when they learned that I prefer my cuts a bit more well done. Without hesitation, they made sure to bring options cooked exactly to my liking, which made the experience feel personalized and thoughtful. Overall, this location sets a new standard. Between the exceptional service, the high-quality food, and the attention to detail, this Miami Beach Fogo de Chão delivers an experience that goes above and beyond. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town--and honestly, I wish my home location in Georgia could match this level of excellence! Fyi: They will be relocating to Lincoln!

We made reservations in advance for dinner and arrived 30 minutes early and were warmly greeted by restaurant staff and seated us at a table within a few minutes. The restaurant is truly beautiful and has amazing decor and live musicians as well. We were seated near the windows, but they also have really cool patio seating overlooking the bay and the Virgin Cruise port. We were warmly greeted by our server and she offered to answer any questions we had on the menu and provided her favorite selections as well. We started with a carafe of red sangria to share for the table ($39) and then ordered the Croquetas Jamon Serrano ($13) and the Mushroom Croquetas ($14). Each had 4 or 5 pieces per order and OMG they were all absolutely outstanding and fresh! You have to order the croquettes, and we're used to having some great Cuban food as we've lived in Miami for more than 15 years now and dine out frequently. For entrees, we all ordered different options, and everyone loved their dishes! I had the Local Fish of the Day (Snapper) for $38 and OMG it was very fresh and an amazing catch and very flavorful and the portion size was perfect! I also really loved the coconut rice and black eyed pea curry. Service and food are all outstanding and we look forward to returning the next time we are in the Bayside area!

Wanting to try a Cubano in Miami while waiting to board a cruise ship at the nearby Port of Miami,…read moreI chose La Canita Bayside because it was close to the Port (not walkable though), having a well reviewed Cubano on its menu. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious, but for one sandwich entree and one appetizer for lunch, it ended up $64.80 out the door. A bit steep. Located on the second floor of the Bayside Marketplace outdoor mall, La Canita Bayside is one of three locations around the Miami area. The elevator that the signs were pointing to, was out of order so a bit difficult for cruisers with luggage. It opened at 11 am, and my brother and I were one of the first ones in. We had our choice of indoor seats. We asked for tap water, which was constantly kept refilled by Mayra, our perceptive server. We split two dishes: conch fritters ($17) and the Cuban experience ($33) - a combination of a Cuban sandwich, glazed deep fried pork belly, and fried yuka (a sandwich by itself was not offered). My brother loved the glazed pork belly (chicharrones), but prefers his Cuban sandwich more time on the sandwich press, to create that melded experience. I loved the 4 pieces of hush puppy looking fritters, served piping hot with a large number of conch pieces mixed in with the spicy batter. I liked the sandwich as well, but wouldn't rank it in the upper half on my list. There is a mandatory 20% service charge for all size parties, which was clearly indicated on the menu. It's an 8% sales tax. It could be argued that high prices should be expected for this area, but the mall itself is no longer considered a top destination in Miami. I do think the atmosphere would be completely different at nighttime and/or the weekend. Maybe have a lunch priced menu when the space is like a normal restaurant, to attract more folks.
