I came here with my girlfriends, got a bottle of orange wine, steak, chicken, shrimp cocktail. It was all really good and the staff were really friendly and helpful with deciding what wine would pair nicely. Such a cute place with the fun tables and yellow decor!

Ambiance: lively place seated pretty fast by the bar on a weekday night. It can get crowded! Great for mid week catch up with friends or a date night Service: friendly & prompt Food: we ordered: - beef tartare : definitely the highlight of the dishes. It was smooth creamy and paired excellently with provided chips - pea and asparagus risotto: good but a little too much on the rich side for me - mussels and shoestring fries: decent! Fries were a bit on the crunchy and salty side but paired well with mussels - oysters: 3 for $12. I really enjoyed them. I think they were sourced from somewhere in the PNW. - (not pictured) we shared the honeyed strawberries with a pot of crème. Sooooo yummy but wow is it sweet! Definitely something to share, and a nice way to round out the meal. - I didn't get a wine but my friends did and the bar had generous pours

Highly recommend checking this place this out. The staff were all super nice and knowledgeable. The food was all delicious and their oysters are not badly priced. Seems like they switch their menu periodically so I will definitely be coming back to enjoy their food and wine again. Meal: Tuna Tostada- 4.5/5 Risotto- 5/5 Chicken Schnitzel- 5/5

I dined here with my adult daughters on our first day in San Francisco. We really enjoyed it. We are actually from the Philadelphia area, so the name of the restaurant was familiar. It turns out the owner has Philly roots! Bar Jabroni is the kind of restaurant my daughters really like to find. Local, small, quirky and trying to do something interesting/different than others. It is a small place, but with several seating options. Everyone was friendly and happy to explain any items that were new to us. They also had daily specials, which we were happy to sample. One of my daughters has a fish allergy, and they were great about reassuring us that she would be safe with the dishes we ordered. We like to share dishes. We ordered the spring green, avocado and cotija cheese salad. We also had a really interesting mushroom, cheese, cured egg and herb dish. Both were unique (to me!) and tasty. For heavier dishes we ordered the chicken schnitzel and a special item from the chef, a sliced jamon dish seasoned beautifully. The chef even came out to see if we liked it. For dessert we shared a carrot cake. Really fun meal. Highly recommended.

Service was great at the beginning, especially when it was slow, it slowed down a little later on when the place was packed. But it was perfectly fine all around. The ambience is a very casual bar, with a few tables. It works great in this cozy little neighborhood. Food was really interesting and creative. We had clams, focaccia, milk, bread, even a couple of desserts, and the sea bass as well as the Wagyu steak. The entrées were all excellent. The desserts were a mix bag, the cake was OK, but the chocolate dessert was delicious and exception. Would definitely go back and try more.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent and friendly service, delicious wine and oysters. Service is everything for me, and this spot made me feel like I was a regular with just my first visit. The bartender was warm and knowledgeable in a very genuine way. Unfortunately, we had dinner reservations elsewhere, but we were nearly drooling over the plates that were coming out for other guests. Already looking for excuses to get back to the city and hang out here again.

Came here on a weeknight and snagged a bar spot for 2 people! Small bar and bites place in lower haight. Would come here mainly for drinks/ wine selection. Food was good but not standout and very slightly on the pricier side for the portion. Definitely a vibe in here though!

Went to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience. Service was top notch and we never felt rushed but were well attended to the entire time. The wine list is great--many amazing wines for very reasonable prices. Food was delicious and fresh but really not meant to be shared with multiple people so get your own main. I do wish that the stools had some back support, by the end of the night I was ready to lean back and relax at home.

Love going to Pal City so we checked out Bar Jabroni last night! Enjoyed an amazing bottle of wine and a few items from their menu. Loved everything from the tables to the ambiance and friendly service. The shoestring fries were the thinnest I've ever seen. Dreaming of them!!

The food started off delicious but ended in a huge failure of a fish dish. We are finding that it is hard for many places to execute fish properly. We really enjoyed every other dish we order but sadly had to send the fish back. Not only did it taste bad( way too fishy) it was also over salted and tasted of bacon. It sat it a liquid that was a brine or a light watery sauce. The service was excellent, they went above and beyond to make it right which we highly appreciated! The ambiance was cool with chartreuse being the main color, very cool tiled tables and candle in wine bottles lining the back of the bar. We believe the menu changes often since we were given recommendations on what to order from a friend but didn't see those items on the menu. I would give this place another chance because I really wanted to love it. It fell short by just a smidge.

I came here to celebrate my graduation. We were pleasantly suprised by how incredibly delicious EVERY plate was. Even more delightful however was the service . Our server + any other staff member we encountered were warm and welcoming. I wish more places had a similar business model. The ambiance was super cool and romantic. Everything was a 10/10. The desserts we had are officially my favorite in the city. I'm glad we chose this spot to celebrate :)

We'd been hearing about Bar Jabroni forever but finally snagged a res and WOW. Every single thing we ate was unreal. We kicked it off with the beef tartare (Szechuan peppercorn, kumquat, like, yes??), then tore through the house focaccia with whole milk ricotta. That bread was gone in seconds. The romanesco cauliflower was such a surprise hit - charred, nutty, saucy, crunchy - all of it. For mains, we got the strozzapreti with pork sugo (so rich and cozy) and the black cod pil pil, which was buttery, flaky perfection with these crispy potatoes I still dream about. The wine? A+++ no notes. Perfect pairings, super interesting list. We wanted to try everything. Vibe is laid back but cool, like a wine bar and a bistro had a hot, fun baby. Honestly the whole thing was a 10. We're already planning to go back and order everything we didn't get to this time.

Really attentive service, good food and good wine selection! We celebrated a birthday here and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Every dish was delicious, with the shrimp louie and pappardelle mushroom ragu being my favorites. One minor critique is I would have preferred the pappardelle to be less al dente and maybe a little thinner. Nonetheless it was my favorite dish of the night. We ended the meal with a nice buttermilk and sesame cake.

The Ice Cream Bar is popular, so prepare for a wait since they take the time and care to make your order. It's located on a nice block with street parking, but it's also a busy area in general and probably easier to walk to. They have menus and a small seating area outside. Inside is a great throwback to 30s/40s art decor style, with the main ice cream counter to the right and the actual bar at the back. They have different ice creams available by the scoop in a cold dish, or opt for a made-daily waffle cone. They have classic toppings as well. Once you order, you pay towards the back. The bar area itself offers alcohol, perfect for a Guinness float or to add a little something extra to a milkshake or sundae. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The servers were so welcoming and eager to please with special requests as well. If you're an ice cream fan, this one is worth coming to enjoy.

My cappuccino (which I only seem to order when I'm in San Francisco) was delicious and gave me enough energy to walk those hills with ease. My party of four came without a reservation, so we were seated along the wall against a small countertop area. It wasn't the most comfortable setting for a group hangout. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. Space is a bit small so seating is limited. Ambiance is a vibe though. Cute and chic little wine bar in a central location. Between the four of us, we ordered the bread/butter, ceviche, Dungeness crab garlic noodles, and the Wagyu dog to share. We also got a bottle of their Lambrusco. The stars of the show were definitely the wine and the garlic noodles. I wouldn't recommend sharing the Wagyu dog as it got a bit messy. Everything was definitely overpriced, and portions were small. We had to order takeout from another restaurant afterwards to satiate our hunger lol. I'm glad I tried this spot but would only recommend stopping by if you're not very hungry or are just looking for some small snacks before an actual dinner.
