Lemon drop Martini

Always inviting, indoor and outdoor seating, all coveted for all weathers. Every item delectable, from grilled cheese, to a perfect Reuben, to the drink selections fit for any palate, open late, and located in the heart of Katy, TX. Easy spot to visit for solid food and drink selections.

Effen Good Martini

I stopped in for lunch and had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with loaded fries and an Effen Good Martini. The restaurant was empty so the service was good. It's nice and spacious, and it has a good patio area. The Effen Good Martini is always on point. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was good but would've been better if it came with a queso dipping sauce. The loaded fries were dry and overcooked. I probably should have gotten it with the buffalo chips. If I go back I will stick with the burger or truffle flatbread.

Went on a Friday after work during happy hour. Sat at the bar with my husband. Server was attentive and responded pretty fast. Pizza was mediocre but the drinks were good. Would go back for happy hour for drinks. Also received fried pickles and they wee good. Open atmosphere and chatted with other people at bar. Prices were reasonable and was not overcrowded.

While I do enjoy coming here because of their nice selection of drinks, this particular time they were out of what I wanted which was featured on their menu- boo! So I went with the old fashioned and they did a nice job. Service was fine, not exceptional. I stopped in after a movie and there were plenty of places to sit for a drink. Definitely a great chill place!

Lunch time at Bar Louie, Katy

Lunch time and work time, I needed a spot to sit for a couple of hours that has wifi and a beverage and a place to plug in my laptop. I found it this afternoon in Bar Louie. Clean, open, friendly. Not at all busy at 1 pm on a weekday such that I had a choice of spots to sit and found one with an outlet nearby so I could charge up my phone. Meanwhile, my van is plugged in to a power outlet in the parking garage and charging up that battery. From the lunch special menu, a salad and as much as I would have killed a beer, I stuck with water as I'm both working and driving today. Salad was a huge portion and the price was right. Bar Louie: a masterclass in overpromising and underdelivering. I ordered a burger, medium--an elementary request, one would think--but what arrived was a structurally unsound disaster, teetering on the edge of raw. Medium rare, at best. The patty was a feeble, pink mess, hastily assembled between two halves of a bun that disintegrated upon contact, as if recoiling in shame from the atrocity within. Every bite was an exercise in damage control, a desperate attempt to salvage some semblance of dignity from a meal that simply refused to cooperate. The fries, however, were quite good. A rare beacon of competence in an otherwise grim dining experience. And the water? Exceptionally refreshing--perhaps because it was the only thing that didn't require this establishment's culinary intervention. If you enjoy watching your meal collapse in real-time while playing roulette with proper cooking temperatures, by all means, visit Bar Louie. Otherwise, spare yourself.

Stopped in for happy hour. Ample bar. Indoor and patio seating Fire Pit for the cool nights Great music and DJ on weekends Parking garage and private parking lot available John & Joshua, the bartenders, were very attentive and personable. I sat on the patio and felt very taken care of even without being at the bar. Bartender on duty John & Joshua What I ordered: Drink Rock&Rita teremana, grand marnier orange ,agave, lime Food salmon sliders

The food was really good no complaints, the chicken was bigger than the bun. It wasn't spicy at all but flavorful. Our waitress could have been more attentive to say the restaurant was empty. The ambiance was a casual vibe nice place to stop in for lunch.

My husband ordered the Old Fashioned, which was also very well done. We shared the fudge brownie for dessert and it was rich, moist, and elevated with just the right hint of espresso. My food was very good. Those gouda grits absolutely stole the show and I can see why they are so popular!!! The bacon was crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that while the biscuit was buttery and had great flavor, I believe it was somewhat over baked as it was more on the chewy side rather than fluffy. Other than that everything was great! I can't wait to come back just for the grits alone!!

I ordered the Coconut Seafood Stew, and it was incredible, rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. It easily ranks among my top 20 favorite dishes I've ever had. The only thing that didn't quite match the experience was the interior. The atmosphere feels more like a nightclub than a restaurant serving such elevated cuisine. A more upscale, modern design would better complement the quality of the food and create an even more memorable dining experience. The drink menu was beautifully designed and I love the vibrancy of the images. I had the French 75 and my son had the Expresso Martini both delicious. Overall, the outstanding food makes this restaurant well worth a visit, and I'll definitely be back.

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

While we completely understand wanting to protect expensive furniture, the tone and delivery came across as rude and made our entire table feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On the other hand, I want to recognize our waiter, who was excellent throughout the meal. Raymond was attentive, friendly, and did his best to make us feel comfortable again after the interaction with the manager. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food also fell short of expectations. In particular, I would not recommend the mussels. The flavor was unpleasant and left a very bad aftertaste, making them one of the least enjoyable dishes we ordered. Good customer service isn't just about enforcing rules--it's about how those rules are communicated. Unfortunately, the manager's approach, combined with the disappointing food, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

Another pleasant surprise in what I'm going to arbitrarily designate as a brunch fusion menu…read more Firstly, it's a very nice layout. Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office.
