Back in Boston, back at Bar Moxy!! The food is great, energy is high and electric atmosphere! If you're staying at the Moxy hotel, you're in luck because you get a food/drink voucher so be sure to take advantage during your stay. This time I ordered the Half Buffalo pizza and soft pretzels. Amilia was my server and she was both helpful and friendly.

If it weren't for our food vouchers, we would've gone elsewhere. We stopped by for a drink in the evening. And in the morning for breakfast. Ordered two avocado toasts (they offer gluten free bread!). And they had free coffees! Avocado toasts were bland. It had pico de gallo and a hard boiled eggs. Mind you there is no kitchen here! They have oven toasters and microwaves that heat/cook the food. So already that should've been my hint. Like I mentioned would likely not eat here if it weren't for the food vouchers.

Bar Moxy is the in-house bar and restaurant for the Moxy Hotel. Since I was a guest of the hotel and was given food and drink vouchers to use here, I visited here a few times during my stay. Bar Moxy is located on the second floor of the Moxy Hotel; the area is kind of an open, mixed-use space with the bar, common seating, and the lobby all contiguous with each other. Theming and aesthetics are the same as the hotel itself: contemporary/industrial with splashes of pinks, purples, and blacks. In addition to drinks, the bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner - with tables scattered where they will serve you after placing your order (you can also get it to go). Additionally, have games on some of the tables to play - I noticed a huge Connect 4 on one of the communal tables by the bar. They're a full bar, so they offer what one would expect plus signature cocktails. I used my free drink vouchers which gave me the choice of a beer, wine, or their signature cocktail. I went with the cocktail - I honestly forgot the liquor in it but it had berry and lime flavors. It was fine, not strong but hey you get what you pay for. I did get some of their food throughout my stay - I had a grilled chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken naan, and a breakfast naan. The food was good - tasty but nothing too noteworthy. Service was fine, food and drinks were served fast and everyone was friendly. Overall, I wouldn't call Bar Moxy destination spot, but it definitely serves its purpose if you're staying at the hotel.

My boyfriend was not super impressed with his cheesesteak. I liked my club sandwich. I didn't love that the only option was chips. I'm a fry girl so that was disappointing BUT I'd say deeecent food for a quick grab to eat for a hotel stay.

I went to the roof part of bar moxy on a Friday night when it was open to the public. It's one of the highest rooftop views in Boston and the space has so much potential, but it was really dead for a Friday night. There were a few specialty fall cocktails but they weren't really amazing. I think if you can catch a rooftop night with a bigger crowd then it could be really fun.

I ate at Bar Moxy 4 times for breakfast, once for dinner, and stopped by 2 times for a drink. The hotel gives you $25 to spend at the bar for each night of your stay so I made sure to use it all. Each time I ate here I either felt sick as I ate or sick shortly after. Not sure if something is up with some of the ingredients. The staff was always pleasant and friendly. Do remember to tip even as you're receiving "comped" food. The bar is cute with a variety of seating arrangements and games. There's a microwave and plugs if you need to charger a phone or laptop. The bar did get slightly crowded each night but I didn't spot any sugar daddies so it may as well have been empty lol A cool place to chill.

We decided to check out this bar since we received a voucher from the Moxy hotel we were staying at. This bar is on the second floor of the hotel across from the check in counter. The cashier could not complete our transaction at the register since she was new and was unable to apply our voucher without a supervisor override and the supervisor (bartender) was busy at the time. She reassured that our drinks will be made and brought to us. However, we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks and witnessed the parties behind us receive their drinks immediately. When we approached the cashier, she said our drinks has been ready but she did not know where we went and thought we had left. We were seated near the bar and the place was pretty empty so I am not sure how she missed us. The bartender did apologize for the confusion at the end when we were paying and I understand that the cashier was new but there should be a better system to serve food and drinks to the right party in a timely manner. We ordered the got moxy and chocolate espresso martini. The drinks were aesthetically nice and the drinks tasted good but they tasted like juice and did not taste alcoholic at all. I'm not sure if they were worth over $15-20 per drink.

What a super cool place this is. Normally when you visit a bar at a hotel it always feel so blah but this place was very live. What a concept for a hotel bar. The hotel bar has various sitting areas with a cooler where you can actually go and pick up your own can of beer, juice, water or any type of refreshment you may want. They also have a bar menu as well, although we did not get anything from it. The bar has various games to play while there, they had jenga, connect four and other games. It was a very cool environment.

Really enjoyed the ambiance here. Giant jenga, board games, foosball, and giant connect 4 while being bar side! Nice workers and a small selection of drinks to choose from. Slightly over priced but can't complain for the area. We tried some breakfast and lunch items which were simple but yummy.

A very cool bar with many different sitting areas. We ordered a bud light ($7) and a glass of Prosecco ($12). The bartenders are fast and easily told us about the different local beers on tap---all of them were IPAs. We also ordered a chicken BLT wrap which was bland and never we saw one piece of bacon. There's lots of cool games, like Jenga at the tables to play with your friends.

I started with the grapefruit cocktail, followed by the hamachi crudo and the lobster roll. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The hamachi crudo was especially impressive, and the lobster roll was everything you'd hope for when dining in Boston. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. Salty Girl definitely deserves its high ratings, and I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

This year we visited right after a RedSox game and it had poured the entire day. We were cold and wet so they escorted us to the back bar. I hope we didn't offend anyone by not being in fancy clothes. Anyways, we were sat at the bar, about five minutes later, we were acknowledged and menus placed in front of us. Took another 10 minutes to get water and a drink order to get us started. Short time after that, we got to out in our food order and we are glad we did because right about that time our bartender's friend walked in and all of a sudden all the attention went to him. Our clam chowder arrived and it was complete perfection, silky smooth was with a delicate fried clam as an extra treat. It was sooo good. I wish I would have stopped there, instead we also ordered cheeseburgers. The fries were underwhelming and limp, the cheeseburger was a disaster. I'm sorry, I wish I could say anything but that but it just didn't work. The burger patty itself was made out of a meat blend, it felt more like nerves, ligaments and other weird meat elements and to make matters worse, wasn't cooked good, was not allowed to rest instead leaking its fluids all over the bottom bun and severely underseasoned if seasoned at all. I took one bite and couldn't even swallow it. The "fried lobster" on top was chewy and honestly just bad. What a terrible thing to do to a lobster. The cocktail was good, after all it's their $30 martini with a caviar garnish. The bartender made sure his buddy was taken care of, the rest of us at the bar had slow service. It is what it is and I guess next year when we visit we won't be coming back. Oh, the tiramisu was tasty too, instagramable for sure!

We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. My husband doesn't love curry but he loves these fries and you will too. #friesaretodiefor Moon Bar, thanks for being amazing in every way. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
