I've been to this restaurant twice now. Once with my wife for brunch on a Sunday, which btw was just awesome. They had a three piece band playing tunes while we sat outside on the patio. We order a caprese salad, sausage pizza and pasta dish. All were to die for. You can taste just how fresh all the ingredients are. The service was right on point. Our server was very attentive. We had a great time. So great we came back and brought our friends on a Saturday night. We all had a blast. This time we sat in the dining room. The atmosphere, the cocktails and of course the food was all very enjoyable. I suggest the Ricco Tubbs cocktail. Its very tasty. I really like this place and we are definitely gonna be revisiting often as I want to try more of the menu... would recommend highly. read more

Terribly disappointed. Myself and one other customer in restaurant and 100% used yesterdays leftovers. Ordered 3 apps and a pizza and all came out very quickly and room temperature and under, nothing was hot and fresh. Most definitely reheated yesterdays leftovers - if you want to call it that. Broccolini soaked in oil - a full plate submerged in oil. Octopus and potatoes cold. Pizza cold. I saw pictures of chicken cutlets having two per order and we had one cutlet pounded so paper thin. Almost impossible to cut through, my fingers and hands quite literally hurt from cutting. There is no way my girlfriend would have been able to cut it, so I did it for her. Asked if they could add shaved truffle to cacio Pepe which they said was no problem and sever fake shaved truffle and attempted to charge 25 for it. I can't even call it truffle b/c it was fake! If you do a simple search they do sell imitation truffle. It didn't even remotely have a taste, smell, texture of truffle. Zero exaggeration at all, not even 1%, a complete fraud. I didn't want any dessert, however, my girlfriend did so we selected two scoops of "gelato"! I knew right away it was fake when arrived with whipped cream. Hello!! That's not gelato, that's called ice cream. They served chocolate and vanilla ice cream. The only potion of meal produced well was the bolognese. The service was some well too. I should have complained about the entire meal, but I couldn't restrain myself from informing them of the fake truffle, which they comped. Very nicely built space. Comfortable space. Great service. All the servers knew it was our anniversary and were all very good with greeting us and saying happy anniversary. I guess my reason for taking 1 star away is that they didn't have 2 of the things I came to order. It wasn't a big deal, except the pasta we ordered instead was kinda just ok, but still cooked correct and respectfully if that makes sense. It just wasn't amazing/much flavorful, a bit disappointing. Nice little place, good atmosphere and nice attentive staff. We had the margarita pizza, fried peppers and house salad for appetizers. The pizza was super thin, very light on cheese, but tasted light and fresh. The salad was loaded with shredded parmigiana, which was a little surprising but thankfully we both like cheese. So many things. We were a table of 8 first time, celebrating a birthday. Small tables. LOUD. The menu: small and boring; with descriptions that are so vague, and used words that left us googling what ingredients were. Why? The server: nice, but also vague, and untrained. She did not know if any of the pasta was made with egg and could not or would not guide the guests at our table toward some choice(s) that would accommodate a vegan and allergies. She did not know how spicy the chili oil was, or if all of the tomato sauce had cheese. It was amazing how ill informed she was. We began to order our individual meals, when the server said, 'the dishes are "like family style, sooooo..." This immediately made us regroup. It also seemed to explain the *prices*! We decided to share. When the kids at the table ordered garlic bread to share for themselves the server said, "the table already has two coming, are you sure?" (Yep. They needed it without cheese.) We ordered drinks: Yummm! 100% for the bartender! Because the eff'dupness of the menu, we ordered "appetizers" to be side-cars to our now sharing entrees. Too bad the server didnt tell the kitchen that, because those things either came out too early, or obviously sat in kitchen under heat lamps. Several things were sent back, &/or not eaten. The server seemed to vanish once the order was taken, too bad because we all would have had more alcohol to numb this experience. (Did I mention the cocktails are epic?) Most importantly the portions are NOT sharing sized, they're appropriate for one. Pricing: Stupidly expensive-gouging people.... Appetizers: The garlic bread was ONE SLICE of bread ($12.)! Broccolini was maybe 5 stalks, and no the chili oil is not spicy ($14.). Octopus overrrcooked with mayonnaise-esque something on it. ($21.) Bad. Entrees: pasta was embarrassing; overcooked and gummy. Again, it was fired too soon, and sat in kitchen. Glorified pasta fagioli ($21.) Fish: good size for one, nicely done. ($36.) Steak: 75$!!..hard pass. Pizza was the best thing- which everyone ate because we were all starving at the end of this meal (with empty wallets) leaving the one smart person who ordered it having one slice. The server forgot items for the kids, but since she did not return, they also left hungry. The clean-up staff literally took my plate while I was still chewing. If you have to go here, just order drinks and pizza, but there are better places for less nearby. read more

The food at Rosina's is always a 10/10, it's definitely the best Italian food in this area . The wait staff has always been great as well, however when we dined tonight (12/21) there was a man hired to play Christmas music and it seemed there was some trouble with the connection and it was causing him to cut in and out. He was trying to fix it when the manager (assumption) came over, told him he sounded like shit and told him to pack his things. My jaw dropped open at how poorly the assumed manager treated this man. It was absolutely degrading and inappropriate to do in front of patrons. extremely disappointed from this experience but if this manager got fired place would be 10/10. read more

Went for dinner. The menu has a small selection. I asked the waitress if we could order one of pasta entrees as a half oder for an appetizer and she said we could not. We ordered the burrata for an appetizer. It was toasted bread with some burrata and strawberries and nuts. It was tasty but not your traditional burrata feel. I had chicken scarpiello which was good and my husband had the pasta bolognese. He said it was good. For dessert we had the tartufo which was good but had a lot of nuts. read more

The singular way to describe this loud hipsteresque "Italian" restaurant and bar is confused. Every dis has too many ingredients and the chef seems not to have learned the historically proven rule not to mix sea creatures with cheese. The Burrata was distorted by nuts, bread crumbs, extra butter and herbs. A disgrace to the delicious simplicity of the cheese. A clam pizza was coated In pecorino and tomato, nullifying any hope of clam flavor. This is not a place for fine or even mediocre dining. Iv been thinking about a scenario I witnessed a few weeks ago at this establishment that makes me never want to return back. A women and what look like her daughter were treated so poorly and disrespectful by the owner/manager I was so besides myself. The owner who should be nothing but professional was cursing at them and screaming and then after this woman and her daughter walked out he offered to buy drinks and dessert on the house and made the woman out to be "drunk" and "crazy but she seemed cool, calm, and collected to me. With that being said I prefer to not be associating myself with an establishment that treats their customers this way especially young lady's as the daughter could not have been older than 20 years old and was also cursed at. read more

We've been to Rosina's twice and the food is fantastic. BUT, the service, wait times, hostess staff isn't great. We got sat at an awful table outside that was lopsided, I had to ask 2 times for someone to fix it so our drinks didn't spill, we couldn't find our waiter multiple times and it took our second round of drinks being asked about to come to our table. We had to ask our waiter for the dessert menu, and if I hadn't asked for another staff member to get him, I don't know when we would have even gotten our bill. I totally understand a new restaurant, and also the staffing issue due to the pandemic, but that's not the issue. They have too many tables and aren't willing to turn people away. Also the bus staff is great and always around, just not waiters. Our group is still trying to figure out if it's worth it to come back for the food, still unsure. read more

We wanted to try something new, so we went to Rosina's to celebrate our ten year anniversary and had an amazing time. It was our first time eating here and we had a wonderful experience. This the second time I have eaten at Rosina's and the second disappointment. The food and wine are disgusting. Last night our pizza was burnt, our chicken cutlet tasted disgusting, like it was fried in old oil that had fish in it and we had to send back our wine because both glasses were bad. I'm sorry this place has high price for awful food. The first time I went there they gave my girlfriend a portion of the gluten free pasta that wasn't enough to feed my three year old and charged us full price. I had to share my food with her. All that needed to happen in that situation was the waitress come out and tell us that they didn't have enough gluten-free pasta for her dish. This place is beyond words! I've been going to Rosina's since it opened, I go there for date night, I go there with my friends and I even had my rehearsal dinner there. Chef Jared is an amazing chef, culinary mastermind, everything that comes out of that kitchen is perfection! Coby is also a very genuine guy, he makes us feel welcome every time. The waitresses are always so nice and helpful. The bartenders are amazing! I have no complaints about this place and I recommend everything! They didn't have chicken or eggplant parm which are 2 of my favorites but the scarpiello was delicious. This place sucks. The food is overpriced and the owners are very rude when they don't get there way. You can even see it on the app if u scroll down and look at the comment with bad reviews he pretty much is a condescending joke when responding to these people. Also the place is way too small for the amount of people they had to sever. Barely any wait staff and when I peaked into the kitchen all of them were just on their phones and talking. Must go to! Beautifully decorated inside with a cool vibe. The hostess stand is in the back which is a little strange. The restaurant is surprisingly very large and has a beautiful outdoor area. We sat outside under the string lights and it was beyond pretty. The service was great, wine was served generously and the food was delicious. Had the house salad and the dressing was amazing, the chicken cutlet appetizer was HUGE and one of the best chicken cutlets I've had (extra crispy and thin) and the margarita pizza was thin, had a unique flavor and was delicious. We dined here twice (making reservations for 6 PM) in the last two months. Each time the hostess escorted us to the very back of the restaurant, to the very last table, two steps away from the kitchen and bathrooms despite many free tables. Both times we objected and were given slightly better tables. The first dining experience was pretty good - everything was vastly overpriced but that is nothing new in Fairfield County. The second experience was a different story. The focaccia was gummy and underbaked. The prosciutto was fine but for $21 I expected more than five slices. My friend's pizza was good. The sauce on the pappardelle was underwhelming and yet it was $32! My ricotta ravioli was undercooked and tasteless save for the pale sauce on top which reminded me of the tinned spaghetti of my childhood. The broccolini side dish -$14 - seemed to have been barely cooked and was somewhat difficult to even cut with a knife. The perfect "crisp tender" preparation fresh vegetables deserve is a concept unknown at this place. There is an OK selection of Italian wines - nothing outstanding but some good choices. The price/quality ratio of this restaurant is an insult to diners. We will not be returning. read more

Made reservations for my sons birthday , arrived at 4:40 for. A 4:45 res. Took care of kids efficiently , they finished their dinner and then we waited for our adult dinners to come out. 50 minutes later the kids get restless and adults are looking around for their food---unacceptable!!!! Trying to celebrate a birthday and the wait was horrible. My sons family eats there a lot and was trying to share the experience with us (Grandma and grandpa). Well, we are from Arizona and never have the rude behavior from a manager or waitress when their service is terrible. No compensation was offered and no apology for the wait---own up to your terrible customer service and make it right for the customer. Do not patronize this Restaurant !!!!!! I was so excited to come to Rosina's for the first time after hearing good things. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing - still dreaming about the Brussels, pizza and the bucatini!! Disappointing first visit. While most of the food was good, the Veal chop for $57 was beyond terrible. The presentation stopped everybody at the table, it came out completely pounded flat and was spilling over the plate. It was served with one of those giant wooden handled steakhouse knives, and there was a reason for that. The chop was a quarter inch thick and couldn't even be cut with a knife. It was unbelievably tough and difficult to chew. There were some pieces of the chop that were so tough that the knife couldn't even cut it. I'm not sure what the preparation was but some of it was actually crunchy. $57 for a veal chop is expensive anywhere, but charging that much for one that was essentially inedible made me feel ripped off. Also, the noise level is so high that if you're seated in the back, don't plan on speaking to the person next to you unless you lean in close. Go for the pizza but stay away far away from the veal chop. read more

We've been to Rosina's at least once a week since they opened and have never been disappointed. Fun & lively bar with great cocktails, nice dining room with different sections that feel intimate even though the space is big, and a great outdoor space that is tucked on the side so you're not sitting on the street with cars buzzing by. The food is always delish, we've tried almost every dish and keep coming back for more. We've brought friends, family, neighbors and business associates and they've all gone back as well. As I'm writing this, I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more
