It's not a dive bar (or ship, or airplane) without a tiny bottle of wine I recon'

If you wan a dive bar, want to get your wine in a little airplane size bottle and listen to crazy Karaoke this could be your spot. The nautical theme is a a lot of fun. But boy it's a dirty dirty place with a nasty bathroom and sticky everything. pretty gross. If you are drunk enough you may not mind. Also, the people that come here are super friendly, the bar tenders not so much. They seem pissed to be there. I've been about 4 times and they are always grumpy. Maybe that's the tough vibe they go for? All in all, come to hang out and sing and meet new people. Wear shoes and clothing you don't care if they get dirty. It's more like being on a real boat.

My brain is still in awe of the bartender's pour here. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and, while watching her make it, muttered aloud, "Dear God in heaven!" I've never seen a LIIT so clear! I don't know how there was room for Coke once she put all the alcohol into it. I drank it over the course of an hour and a half because I would probably be knocked unconscious if I drank it any faster. You know the facial contortions that occur when Dr. Jekyll drinks the potion and turns into Mr. Hyde? That's what I imagine I looked like every time I took a sip of this drink. It was magnificent (and only $8 for a small bathtub's worth of alcohol). The decor here begs you to mock it, but I adored it, as did everyone present. Fishnets hung from the ceilings alongside jalapeno lights. The TVs there were showing baseball and WWF! Later in the evening, they had karaoke, and even though pages were missing out of the song book, it was the perfect karaoke crowd - drunkenly cheering for everyone with the guts to get up and sing. Finally, I will stop accusing Patrick G. of being a robot.. If a robot drinks a lot of alcohol he short circuits. Patrick just got drunk. So much for that theory! Want to know all about old Greenwood lore? Ask Faith G., she is a wealth of local knowledge. Holy (SHITHOLE Piece of) Crap, this was a good time! If you missed the Piece of Crap HH, watch the Events section. There will definitely be more. We might have to move it underground, though, if the wrong types of people start showing up. (Yes, people, that right there was a humor joke)

Another culinary venture from the dynamic duo, JP & Boss. They are the brothers behind Secret…read moreCongee (Shilshoe), Ginger & Scallion (Stumbletown), and Okonomiyaki Jiban Ya (Northlake). This is a pop up hosted at Janet's Stumbletown, a stone's throw from Ginger & Scallion. This is for an initial two month residency Wednesdays to Sundays 11am to 3pm. First, pack your patience finding street parking in this busy retail & residential area on NW 65th. I was eventually able to find a 2 hour slot nearby. I was the first customer in the door for the soft opening. It was great to see both Janet (owner of both Stumbletown and Chocolat Vitale) and Boss onsite. Orders and payment are placed at the register. Good to see JP and his team also at the kitchen line. Various seating at Stumbletown: bar & counter seating, booths, and as one to three tops flanked with a banquette. Pleasant interior with natural light and a decent soundtrack overhead. I ordered the Caesar salad and the House 8oz sirloin cap steak with mushroom bordelaise. I stuck with water, but other beverages can be ordered separately from the Stumbletown bar. The fries/frites are cooked in beef tallow. The sirloin is prepared with a garlic butter thyme baste. The menu has both 4oz or 8oz steaks and three sauces to choose from. I enjoyed the Caesar salad. The butter lettuce was well dressed with accompanying parmesan cheese shavings and tiny croutons. The frites were topped with the steak slices, thinly sliced mushrooms in the red wine sauce, and garnished with finely minced shallots and chives. As my first meal of the day "brunch", overall this was nicely presented and prepared. Packed full of flavor and left satisfied but not stuffed. Just right and completed in about 45 minutes. Doable if one has to get back to work. Might want to get coffee after to stave off any potential food coma, lol. I'd rate this 4.5, rounded to a 5. Great dining choice with earlier hours that's easier on the wallet in today's economy.

The review pertains specifically to Steak Easy as it's a pop up at Stumbletown on July 25th, 2026…read more Steak Easy's concept for an affordable Steak & Frites seems nice on paper, but it's execution and delivery is sub-par. IT IS OVERHYPED!!!!!! The only thing that has it going is the price point, but after the atrocious wait times, granted on a Saturday (7/25/26) evening is not worth it. Placed the order at 6:06pm and was told an hour wait for our order, which was initially fine as Stumbletown itself has a bar, so we decided to have a few drinks to wait meanwhile. But after seeing a FULL ROTATION of the dining room we still did not receive our order. After about an 1 hour and 15 minutes, I asked the front person taking the order and he accused me of already asking prior which I did not and was left puzzled and speechless. Finally close to 7:40pm- approximately 90 minutes since I first ordered, we finally received the so called "steak and frites". and the verdict: THE FOOD IS SUBPAR..... The steak itself was lukewarm and very, very chewy. And the sauces both the chimichurri and the mushroom sauces we had were flavorless and lacking. But after waiting close to an hour and a half, we were hungry so we still ate it. We wanted to like it but after this experience, this is just another example of subpar food in Seattle being hyped by food influencers and social media. Sorry for Stumbletown as Steak easy doesn't have ownership for it's review so they will be reflected with this.

Was especially interested in coming after knowing the bar manager (Sarah) has won awards in the industry. We tried: - Apricot Old fashioned $10 - great value! Strong with a hint of apricot. - Classic Martini $11 - it was Martini month when we went so martinis were featured with great prices! Definitely not my fave martini in the city but could not beat this price and it was enjoyable still. - Mezcal drink (I think it was the Sea Senora) $18, I had this and loved it. I'm a fan of mezcal and this was no exception. Great flavors. - Lamb Crepinette $17 on HH, we all enjoyed this! Not too "lamb-y" if that makes sense. - Point Judith Squid Salad - $14 on HH, I really enjoyed this salad as it reminded me of Spain/Portugal, which I'm a huge fan of. The squid was really tender and went well with the beans and olives. Super cute vibes inside and everything is really aesthetic but also great flavor/execution. I already want to go back to try more.

That was a little awkward (but obviously not the restaurant's fault, just an FYI). It does have giant windows, lovely staff, and $2 off plates for happy hour. I really enjoyed the lamb and the mai tai, and definitely order those again.
