Came here for lunch today, sat outside and were helped immediately. The food, drinks, and service were all great, they even brought a little bowl of water out for our dog and we didn't even have to ask. All around a lovely experience. We had the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, and bbq wings with the Alabama sauce, and then the hibiscus margarita and Paloma, would absolutely recommend any or all of those things. The food came out pretty fast and everything tasted fresh. I wish the tacos had a little something on the side, like some chips or rice and beans, for $15 it seemed a little much for *just* the tacos, but what are you gonna do. The one slightly off-putting part was when it was time to pay, they asked me if I was ready for the bill, but instead of giving me a bill the server asked me for my card, swiped it, and then handed me back the machine where I was to select the tip amount. I always like to check the itemized bill no matter where I eat just to make sure everything is accurate so I asked if I could see the actual bill before I confirm the purchase. He had to go back, print out my bill and then run the transaction again. I saw a "No-cash" fee as a line item, which I found a little odd because usually that's something they mention beforehand. It wasn't a large fee, I think about $3 on a $76 check, so i wouldn't have thought twice about it but the fact that they specifically asked for my CARD first and didn't show me the bill felt a bit deceiving. read more

Great food! Each taco has a great Smokey flavor-which isn't for me but doesn't mean it isn't good for others.The chips & guacamole are delicious!! I wasn't too crazy about their salsa though. Food is at a higher price point but you can tell the quality is there. Ceviche was great too, and I can taste the freshness without the taste of sugar added since most places do add some type of sugar. Went here for lunch with hubby. Very nice place. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Loved the music playing. We had the wings as an appetizer. They did not disappoint. I ordered a quesadilla and I wanted to substitute cauliflower rice for the rice that came with it. That was not allowed. It made my lunch on the expensive side. I found that a little off putting. I also didn't like that nothing came with the quesadilla. No condiments. No sour cream. No guac. No hot sauce. No salt and pepper to be found or offered. I used the left over sauce from the wings. Really disappointed! the food arrived literally 5 minutes after we ordered which was already a bad sign considering we ordered wings, cauliflower tacos , rice and beans plus guacamole and chips. The chicken was rubbery, beans were watery , the tacos were the absolute worst; tortilla and cauliflower were both cold and not cooked properly. The chips that came with the guacamole were hard as a rock. It was pretty evident they served us food from a day ago or something made in the morning and just assembled in a minute before throwing it in our table.please do better! Drove an hour and a half to meet with friends here, we picked this place out to try the food and because of how cute it looked! I gave my name and number to the hostess who said it would be an hour wait, but that we could sit at the bar and get some drinks in the meantime, which we gladly did (and made the bar staff aware we were there waiting for a table). An hour passed and we saw many tables clear out, but I never received a call and was never approached by the hostess despite sitting at the bar 3 feet away from her. We were making eye contact with staff and it became clear they started talking about us still waiting. We were eventually approached by a manager and told we were marked as no shows because they tried calling my phone several times. I didn't have a single missed call and we literally never stepped out of the restaurant since arriving. The staff was very apologetic (except the hostess who never spoke or even made eye with us after making this mistake) and we were VERY understanding. We were eventually able to sit outside and were explicitly told that we would be taken care of. We greatly appreciate the kitchen still letting us put in our food order, considering it was closing at this point. The food came out fast, it was good ... and then we were given the full priced check!!!! I literally feel like we got scammed with this entire experience, and I still don't understand how we were forgotten about in the first place considering we never left the restaurant and were sitting in the closest seats to the hostess. We found ourselves in Summitt and we're hungry for a meal that wouldn't break the bank. We settled on BarBacoa. Our party didn't have any adult beverages thought they have a full bar menu. Food came quickly, service was above average and atmosphere was casual. I ordered a shrimp bowl and it was fantastic! Great flavor balance and the cream and guac well above average. Very good tacos and creative! Love that they come on corn tortillas which is authentic. Great margaritas too. My only recommendations to make it 5 star is 1) add more lime and salt to pico de gallo. Think the pico from No.1 tacos in the city. 2) get a low key chill vibe dj or place some nice vibe music Thursday -Saturday. My Husband and I walked away very disappointed. I have to say the food lacked flavor, just tasteless!! We ordered dry rubbed chicken wings and steak tacos. The wings were under cooked and rubbery and the steak was cold and no flavor! Oh, when we were seated the waitress asked , if we would like chips? To my surprise we were charged $14.00 for the chips and guacamole. I thought it was complimentary, as it usually is at restaurants. So we ended up spending $50.00 on food that was awful and cold. I like this place. I agree with some of the reviewers that the first time I tried them (right when they first opened) was REALLY good. I was raving about the tacos and telling everyone to try this place. It's expensive, but the food was worth it. The takeout cocktails were great as well. The quality has gone down a little bit since then but I still get takeout fairly often. I've tried a lot on the menu and my favorite is the carnitas taco. read more

Recently moved to Union New Jersey from Brooklyn and havent had memorable or even pleasing restaurant experiences so this place came as a very pleasant surprise. Greeted and served by Chris and made delicious hibiscus margaritas by Monica who were both very cordial. From chips, guac and salsa forward everything was right on. Hot Nashville tacos were too spicy for my wife but out of this world good to me. We will return often and take an uber to thoroughly investigate what makes hibicus margaritas so divine. read more

I did read the bad reviews and decided to try myself. Turned out to be an expensive mistake. Food is terrible. Chips were stale. Guacamole was not fresh. Tacos were crappy..... and who puts pineapple on tacos?????? They do. Bill was 140 for two lousy taco "meals" (and no sides), guacamole that was probably bought at Shoprite, a bottle of wine and margaritas weren't good either. Oh....also we were asked to go sit at the bar because there were people waiting for tables. No thanks. We'll just leave and never comeback. read more
