I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for over 10 years. I passed by it 10 years ago and was mesmerized by the interior decor and the candle lit table seemed so romantic. We finally made it happen for a friend's birthday and it was a nice place. Obviously we sat inside and enjoyed the intimate setting. The food was tasty and the portions were perfect. We ordered the seafood mussels, the risotto, and I got the papperdelle with chicken. We were served bread with this very yummy red sauce which was delicious. We loved all the dishes, the flavors were mild but everything tasted fresh. In the end they gave us complimentary biscotti which were delicious as well. The service was great and their servers were attentive. It was empty when we went in but quickly filled up.

Small inside but very elegant decor. About 20 or so tables inside a Railroad flat design. If you brooklyn folks are reading this.

Walked by this place and stopped. What a great choice. Can't believe that a small neighborhood place could be so good. ENTRANCE- an intriguing red awning is the entrance way to a small local restaurant on Lexington Avenue. It was an early evening Wednesday but the staff greeted us rather quickly. We had our choice of any table as it was only 5:30 in manhattan. SERVICE- extremely nice and attentive to every whim. The owner and son were actually waiting on us and super friendly. We even had a third party meet us (after a call to say how good the place was) and they accommodated a last minute order timed to perfection when they arrived. BREAD & DIP - fabulous the bread was classic Arthur Avenue Madonna quality. They had a dip that was to die for. Super flavorful. APPETIZERS - had the artichoke with crab in a tremendously great broth. A must try. ENTREES- wife and I went with fish specials halibut and Bronzino that were perfectly prepared. By that I mean crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. A must try when available. Which could be every day lol. What do I know. VINO - very good Italian selection and not exorbitantly priced for Manhattan. DESERT - so full only cappuccino. Let me know what u think if you try a dessert here. PRICE - for a last minute group of 3 with bottled water drinks and specials, and crazy almost 9% sales tax the bill without tip was $230 so realistically $$$ but more like $$$$ depending on what you order

Kind of worried about eating here since it looked like your generic italian restaurant but went for it since I was in a bind. They have a cool outdoor setup with a few tables with dividers. For lunch I went with the paparedelle with chicken. The pasta was definitely homemade and was made al dente. I usually don't see this pasta dish made with chicken but it worked. Usually it is made with a wild boar ragu. The dish overall worked and really will fill you up for lunch. My colleague got the cheese ravioli and also enjoyed it. They also were homemade and you could taste it. The only issue is it is a little expensive for lunch. They didn't have any lunch menu which seemed kind of weird. $20-$30 for a pasta dish for lunch seemed excessive. They also had other entrees for $30+. With that being said, the food was decent but I don't think I would come back for lunch.

18 tables of joy on Lexington! Gazpacho was fresh and fulfilling. Could eat the veal scaloppini any day of the week - a hearty serving, brimming with white wine & citrus flavours. The squid on spinach was tender and flavourful. Bread and tomato/anchovy tapenade to start - delightful. Captain picked a perfect red wine accompaniment, poured with generosity. The tiramisu was rich and creamy. Service was attentive and fast.

Some delicious Apple Strudel for dessert

Had a very pleasant Saturday evening meal here with a friend! The heated outdoor seating, delicious pasta (and dessert), accommodating and friendly staff were all a nice way to stay warm on an otherwise cold night.

The food is not worth the high price $$$, the bread was old, and the service below average. It's simply conveniently located.

The limoncello was simply divine, and the spaghetti Bolognese and short rib ravioli were both out of this world--rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Then came dessert... the ricotta cheesecake literally knocked it out of the park. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. Then there was our waiter, Cem, he had a great presence, was very knowledgeable, and treated us like royalty! He made the entire experience worth coming back for. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with incredible flavors and impeccable execution, Da Andrea is a must-visit but you have to ask to be seated with Cem!! Can't wait to come back!

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.
