    Spaghetti carbonara

Excellent food and friendly service. I requested carbonara and even though it's not on the menu, they made it for me and it was amazing. One of the best carbonara's I've ever had.

This place is amazing had the Chicken Parm and pasta. Their sauce is to die for I highly recommend it. We just stumbled across it on our walk.

Fabulous Mother's Day dinner at La Terra! We were immediately seated upon arrival and had great, attentive service throughout the evening. They were able to accomodate our large group for dinner. Highlights from the meal included the seasonal soft shell crab, spaghetti l'assassina & the amazing dessert options. Restaurant was very comfortable and clean, will be back soon!

Celebratory lunch, new restaurant - perfect opportunity. First impression is clean, welcoming, and tables set decently apart. Our friendly knowledgeable server alerted us both to her faves and diners'. Standard bread, silky olive oil. Meatball appetizer just right, rich tomato sauce. I should have ordered orichetti with sausage and broccolini...next time. In-house lasagna was deeply flavored. Ethereal fried zucchini, could not stop eating it. Our server pointed out desserts created inhouse- we chose tiramisu (perfectly classic, not too sweet) and pistachio creme brûlée (exceptionally silky and luscious, truthfully I couldn't discern pistachio but it was fabulous anyway). Great addition to the block!

Such an amazing experience start to finish! La Terra is immediately so welcoming and comfortable - like you've been going there for years (I can't believe they just opened!) - while still feeling elegant and sophisticated... a tough balance to master. The staff is so kind and service is fast but not rushed at all, even though it was completely full. It's the perfect neighborhood spot that isn't trying too hard, isn't there for the influencers (phew!), and brings the community together. Now for the food! Incredible, authentic, and matches the vibe of the space - warm and comforting, but still lively and fresh. We sat at the bar which is always my go-to. Absolutely loved our bartender and my martini was PERFECT (and I'm particular!). We loved every dish, zero misses, but my favorites were the meatballs, orecchiette with sausage, and the pistachio creme brulee for dessert. Soooo good! I will absolutely be back ASAP - consider me a regular!

Update to 5 stars. Even in a couple of weeks they've made it even better. They still don't have liquor license so it's BYOB. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and accommodating. We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday and by 7pm, the place was full. We split the watermelon salad, grilled octopus and they accommodated our request for a primavera even though it's not on the menu. The stand out was the octopus but the other dishes were very good.

Food portion is great and tastes fantastic. Enjoyed the Fritto appetizer, branzino special and two desserts, pistachio creme brulee and the tiramisu. Service was phenomenal with a reservation for party of 2. We were seated on arrival. The neighborhood has a real gem in this place, especially with the family atmosphere it welcomes. The staff are attentive and quick.

What a great neighborhood place. Great bar to have dinner and the staff is so friendly and on top of everything. The fried calamari w shrimp and zucchini was a huge portion with a huge bowl of red sauce for dipping. The orrichetti with sausage and broccoli rabe fed 2 of us. Will be back sooner than later

We sat on the patio, which was perfect for a summer day. We enjoyed everything we ate and were genuinely left wanting more by the end of the meal. *Cast Iron Focaccia: Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The tomato conserva alongside it was delicious. *Mortadella con Pistacchio: Simple and well executed. Great mortadella. *Escarole: Reminded me of a Caesar salad. The leaves were crisp and generously dressed, which I loved. *Braised Beans: I generally do not love beans, but I loved this dish. It felt like a hearty, comforting bean stew. *Rigatoni Alla Gricia: My favorite dish of the night. Rich and creamy with salty guanciale and perfectly cooked pasta. *Roasted Half Chicken: Usually chicken is not something I get excited about at restaurants because it can be bland, dry, or both. This was one of the best restaurant chicken dishes I have ever had. It was perfectly moist, incredibly well seasoned, and felt like a thoughtfully composed dish rather than just a piece of chicken on a plate. Even the white meat was tender, and the skin was fantastic. The service was excellent throughout the meal. Combined with the beautiful setting and consistently strong food, it made for a memorable dining experience.

It took more than 10 minutes for our wine to arrive after we ordered it. After we finished eating, our dirty plates sat on the table for over 15 minutes while multiple staff members walked by without clearing them. I eventually had to place a plate over my food just to get someone's attention. Our wine glasses were never refilled, and the only time anyone checked on us was after we had completely finished our meal to ask how the food was. It's frustrating because the kitchen did an excellent job, but the service fell far short of the quality of the food. I probably won't return because there's so many options in the city.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

It works especially well for a mixed group since they have plenty of options including dishes without meat and everyone can find something. Even my picky niece and nephew were happy. My favorite entree is the Capellini Puttanesca, with capers, olives, basil, and anchovies. It's super tasty, satisfying, and the perfect portion. I also love that they offer wine by the glass and the service is consistently attentive. The waiters are always moving through the room, checking tables, refilling water, and making sure people have what they need. It's good, reliable, and near Broadway.
