Beautiful atmosphere. You can dine outside on the sidewalk or inside this gorgeous place. The menu offers the best choice for this wonderful Italian cuisine. Service was very good. The restaurant has been slowly declining, but last Saturday night the service was atrocious, the meal was OK, and the prices were way too high considering all of the above. Glass of Sancerre ($16) was tepid- asked for a cold new pour- told they would bring ice. Never arrived. Veal Chop ($46) arrived- was the size if a very thin pork chops. Server explained thats the way it is- when they chop the veal some people get a very large chop and sometimes some get a very small chop. Would not replace with another chop. Had one 0% beer that was not on Menu, was offered another after finishing the first, server came back several times, but had nothing to offer. When the check came I had a 2nd beer AND the diet Coke I subsequently ordered on my check. Will not return. read more

Went for dinner with a group of 8. Uininspiring, bland and didn't offer much. The atmosphere was nice, service on the slow side which was odd since the place was totally empty and food less than meh. The 2 dishes i shared was Penne Alla Checca and Eggplant Parmesean. The penne dish, very small, was nothing to speak of. Small amount of pasta with large pieces of dense mozzerella that one could choke on. They didn't take the time or effort to break it up or melt it to the right consistency. The Eggplant Parmesean was terrible, Not breaded, mushy and served in a very small casserole dish. Didn't resemble anything i have ever eaten. Maybe it was Tuscan style, which i am not used to, but there was no description on the menu of what this dish was. Another friend had the Lasagna Alla Bolognese which she described as just ok. The Chicken Parmesean, a large flat disk with a tiny side of pasta was just ok too. This restaurant is in New York City where many choices of dining options abound. If you want to be successful, do the work, put in the effort and don't serve mediocre or less. Rethink this new menu, focus on high quality instead of skimpy portions and bland taste. Do something extra, go the extra mile. Step it up and I'm sure you can fill your restaurant with a lot more happy diners. read more

Skip this place. My bf and I have walked by this restaurant for several years and finally decided to check it out. There is plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for people watching on a busy corner. Looks cute. It was empty on a Thursday afternoon, but the ambiance was nice. Yet looks are deceiving as we soon found out. We noticed a "Pending" health score Dept of Health sign in the window. ( I discovered later the restaurant was shut down by DOH for 2 days in June 2025 due to many health violations.) My heart sank. We debated for a minute, then said we'd give it a try- plus we were both hungry. We also saw a "no alcohol available due to liquor license paperwork..." sign posted. Ok, we weren't drinking that day. We ordered the 12" Margherita pizza. The only basil was a basil leaf plopped in the center. The sauce was watery and bland. Could this be frozen pizza? All of this for $23 before tax and tip. I ordered a glass of Rose and a Pizza Margherita. What should have been a simple order was a complete debacle. After 30+ minutes, my pizza was served cold - no basil (not margherita style), looked like a frozen cheese and red sauce pizza. I asked them to remake it, but the manager refused and instead they just "heated up" the cold one - still no basil. When I told the chef, he just sent me a plate of basil to add to my pizza myself. I sent the whole thing back because the process has been ridiculous and the chef was rude, told me it was not cold (when it was fully room temp- plus). The manager offered to comp me a 2nd glass of rosé, and when I asked for bread, she gave me a look and did not comply. So no dinner for me... just wine I guess. I still received the bill for one glass of rosé. Very flavorful. The branzino is cooked with tomatoes and olives. I like my branzino grilled, so this is a different style than I like. For appetizer, had the raw filet mignon with arugula. The spinach and sauce were very good but the veal was stringy. Wife had a shrimp salad that was mostly blah. Nothing special. PRICE - not bad at all for manhattan.
