I was looking for a local outlet to purchase a Weber Genesis II BBQ grill. Upon entering the store, the first guy behind the counter told me they "had to order them in and didn't have any to look at." I was disappointed, but told him I'd like to see what they did have. I walked to the rear of the store and there were at least 8 Weber Genesis II BBQ grills sitting there. Not only did they have them, but it appeared it was their main offering. Another sales guy finally approached and gave me some useful information. I ordered the grill from them a couple of weeks later. In fairness, the grill was delivered faster than expected and everything looked good except a missing grill cover. Neither one of the installers mentioned anything about it, until I chased them down the street as they were leaving. I called my sales guy who said it was on backorder and that he'd let me know when they came in. Almost two weeks later, still nothing, so I called back. The sales guy claimed they still hadn't come in, so I said I wanted a refund. At that point, he asked me to hold. He came back 30 seconds later and told me he was mistaken, they had plenty. He asked if I'd like it delivered or if I would pick it up. I chose delivery. Almost ten days later, no delivery. I was up in north Dallas and decided to pick it up, figuring I'd never get it if I waited for them to deliver. Sure enough, it was waiting for me behind the counter. I would've waited till Hell froze over for the stupid thing. In these days of Internet sales and brick and mortar going out of business at a record pace, customer service is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. That should be Lesson #1 on their first day of employment. read more

Bought a $1,400 outdoor fridge that broke a year later. I called to ask if I could get it repaired under warranty. Not only could I not get repaired under warranty, they wouldn't even recommend me to repair it. They recommend that I just replace it with another 1,400 fridge. I walked in ready to buy a Napoleon Grill. When I wasn't interested in the floor models the salesman became rude and when I asked if he could check his computer to see if he could order one for me - either from another store or from Napoleon, he acted like I was wasting his time. I was told any order would take 10 to 12 weeks. I left the store and went to Lowes on Lemmon Ave, ordered the Napoleon unit of my choice and it was delivered 5 days later. Horrid experience at BBQ Galore - and from many other reviews it seems service is a major issue. Avoid at all costs! Go to Lowes or Elliott's. read more

This place is a hidden gem! They have an extensive collection of grills and smokers, including everything Big Green Egg related that you could want. Including extensive rubs and marinades. We went to buy a BGE and were overwhelmed with decisions and options but Rob was SO helpful and walked us through everything we needed. Plus - they have outdoor fire pits and accessories so we were able to get our fire glass and black sand that we had been hunting all over town for! Couple of months ago I noticed the unit wasn't cooling below 50 degrees. I self evaluated the fridge to make sure nothing obvious was wrong, then I tried to reach the Inwood Rd Dallas store where I had purchased it a year and a half ago. 7 unreturned phone messages, 2 in person visits with no follow up and 3 calls to customer service with no resolution. My final call today was to corporate who sent me back to customer service. End result was I paid $1500 bucks for a fridge that didn't last 2 years and from a company that has zero customer service. I was researching pellet smokers - started with the Traeger, but over time began looking into other brands. BG is a Green Mountain Dealer; so I went to look at the Jim Bowie. Wow- saved a lot over the Traeger and it works great. The Wifi feature is awesome and the quality is top notch. Delivery and assembly went flawlessly. If you are buying a big green egg, I would go to Eilliots Hardware. My experience with BBQ Galore has been less than optimal. The plate setter on my egg cracked, so I stopped by the store and they took a picture or two, and said they would let me know whether it would be covered. After 3 weeks of waiting and hearing nothing, i called in and was told they were still waiting. 2 more months and no word, so I called again and the store had been closed. They give me the number for Lewisville store and tell me to speak with someone there. I call and leave a message there and ask for a return call, but nothing. I am done with this place. read more

Do not go to this location for fire place log sets. We ordered three sets of logs six weeks ago they ordered all the wrong sets after I gave them the measurements they requested. The manager is horrendous! Never an apology! After I decided to take my business elsewhere he attempted to guilt me in to feeling bad for their mistake and I became the bad guy! WOW they have nerve! They do NOT stand behind their merchandise. I purchased two ceramic stands to smoke chicken on my green egg on 4/20/19. The first time I used them, one cracked from the top edge all the way through the side and across the bottom. I took it back to the store on 5/12/19 with great confidence they would just give me a replacement. Nope. In order to return something, it had to be unused, in original packaging. My response was that this was defective, used once and I'm returning it within 30 days of purchase. No dice. He told me I could contact green egg and try to get a replacement! No dude, I bought this from you and have the credit card receipt to prove it. He wouldn't budge. Fortunately it wasn't a high dollar item, for me or them. But they could have created real goodwill if they had just been reasonable about replacing a defective item. Instead, I will never go back and will buy from Amazon next time. Who ALWAYS stand behind everything they sell. They only way a small guy like this can compete is with customer service, and they completely screwed themselves on that front. read more

I had to wait for it to be shipped, then wait for installation, only to find out at the time of delivery, it was not what I had ordered. I had a bad experience at Barbecues Galore on Lovers Lane in Dallas. The prices are extremely high and the service is very poor. You can receive better service and lower prices through on line ordering or at competing local stores. They have lots of other barbecue products but I would never buy anything at this store again. read more

One had multiple problems and they could never tell me when the right parts would be in. They never did anything other than say sorry for your problems. Never buy a grill here. I shopped at the Fort Worth location and bought a Captain Cook grill. It was damaged inside the box when i got it home. I should have guessed because the outside of the box was damaged but the salesman assured me it was just yhe box. I returned it and asked for my money back. The manager of the store told me that they did not offer refunds and the best he could do was an in stire credit. The grill never even made it out of the box. I ended up with a pre assembled floor model because they said they would go ahead and put it together for free for my problems. I will never buy anything here again. read more

The only reason I give this place 1* is because the selection of gas grills is not bad. However, if you are expecting a service after you bought it, you rather believe in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny too! The motor of my rotissery (part of the grill), was broken, so I brought it in and asked whether it could be fixed. Not only were the two sales men totally uninterested to help, they could not even figure out the brand of the motor. After going back and forth I asked whether they could check in the computer; well, all they could find was, that the grill ($2000.-+) was delivered, what brand or what kind it was they had no idea. The simple answer was "sorry but we cannot help you". No problem, I would never ever consider to go into that store again! read more

My wife purchased an $8 lighter for me as a Christmas gift. The second time I used it the end fell off. Typical Chinese garbage. When my wife tried to return the item on her lunch break she was told that since BBQ Galore didn't actually make the lighter that they couldn't stand behind the product. No refund, exchange or credit. She was instructed by the sales associate, Jerry Edwards that she could go online and request a refund from the manufacture. When my wife asked if the store manager could confirm this ABSURD policy, Jerry went to the back office to speak to the manager and then he returned stating that the manager backed this ABSURD policy. Totally frustrated, my wife left. I then contacted the regional manager only to find out this is not the policy and that Jerry Edwards never really spoke with the store manager. Both managers said and did all the right things to apologize for his behavior and total lack of customer service skills.. I do not know if Mr Edwards lies to all the customers or just the females. All over an $8 lighter. It is time he retires. Good luck if you have the misfortune of having him wait on you. Particularly if you are a female. read more

In the past I have purchased fireplace logs, a gas grill and two outdoor heaters from this store and have had not issues but when I went in to purchase two sets of outdoor logs from this store about 3 weeks ago, I got 0 assistance. We had our fireplace measurements and all of the information and they ended up selling us logs that were too small for our fireplace so that when the installer came to put them in(2 weeks later), he advised that he would do it but that we would not be happy with the way they looked and needed bigger, taller logs. We were heading out of town for several weeks and I didn't have time to fix this so I called to cancel the order and was told there would be a 20% restocking charge. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that the man I was talking to (Dale) was the manager. In the end, he did return the logs but he was obviously upset with me and there was no hint of customer service. I will NEVER go in there again! read more
