Found a stick in my nachos

Took over 30 minutes to order on a sunday night with barely anyone in here and get my nachos and there's a stick in it! Ridiculous!!! how does a stick get in already prepared food. Of course when I go to tell them they just stare and have no response like always. Will not be going back!

a variety of mexican food

Great place place for fresh veggies and well seasoned meat. The steak is usually cooked juicey. Try the fish on fridays.

a great spot for lunch with friends!

This place is clearly better than chipotle and moes combined. Everything here just tastes way fresher. And college students get a discount with ID. It's easy to customize your own perfect meal here and you will be pleased for sure!

This place is always good. Every time I've been here I've had good service and had an excellent meal. Me and my friend both got burrito bowls; mine was steak and hers chicken. I'd highly recommend a burrito bowl. Hey, I'd really recommend anything on the menu!! We sat outside and it was super comfy and perfect to sit outside, we had just walked all of Salem Lake trail in Kernersville so we were ready to sit down with some good food! If you haven't been by, come get you some tasty food..don't forget the cheese dip!!

My wife and I went with a friend of the family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant…read more The vibe felt very much like a chain restaurant vibe, but the food tasted authentic. The restaurant itself was really clean despite the lunch rush just having gone through. So we were really impressed with the tables being kept up after the lunch rush and the chairs were comfortable as well. The prices are fair especially with how good the food is. Even our family friend who is notoriously picky was impressed by the food. One downside was that it was difficult to understand the lady behind the counter however we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted. One of the meals we got we aren't sure exactly what it was, as we pointed to something someone else had gotten. Our friend got the chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the guacamole. It was a bit thin and bland. We went based on a recommendation of a coworker who said they had three tacos for $9.99 as part of a meal and they said they were so good and it was a really great value which is why we went there. We definitely weren't disappointed and plan on returning.

Lauren's opinions on dining come highly recommended, but I did not realize that what she was saying about this eatery was no exaggeration. This place is ridiculously delightful. It has a fun themed atmosphere centered around their efficient counter service. Their prices are justified for the quality of food they serve. They feature a Cali-Mex menu with a range from the familiar to the new and exciting. I ordered a favorite of mine, the Chori-Steak, which had grilled steak and chorizo (Mexican sausage) with queso on top. It was served with yellow rice, guacamole, and 3 tortillas. While you can find this dish in a lot of Mexican restaurants, theirs is superb. My meal was delicious, but my wife's was mind blowing. She ordered their signature dish, the California Burrito. It was stuffed with steak, cheese, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and fries. As much as I love potatoes in many different forms, I thought the fries would be an unnecessary filler. Boy was I wrong! The fries add a well-seasoned flavor and texture to the burrito. I am ordering this for myself the next time I am there. I recommend listening to my friend Lauren M. and trying California Burritos the next time you are in High Point.

If you are not signed up for their rewards, definitely look into it because you can get these for free :). I ordered the Triple Dipper, as one does when they are craving Chili's! I got the mozzarella sticks, big mouth bites, and boneless BBQ wings. The mozzarella sticks are always huge and perfectly cooked! The BBQ wings were flavorful and always a safe bet. The big mouth bites were a little dry, but with some ranch they improved. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and it was great but my one and only refill did not arrive until after my food did. The restaurant is always pretty loud, with it being a pretty popular spot, but this does not bother me. The manager checked on us halfway through the meal which was nice, as this seems to be the standard. Overall, this restaurant is pretty basic and I would return here again for a safe bet at good food.

Today, however, was an off day, a very off day. We went because I had a free dessert for my birthday. I'd also received an email yesterday saying skillet queso was back, and my husband loves his skillet queso. We sat at the bar and the bartender let us know he'd help us as soon as he could. The restaurant was packed and he was the only bartender, and he was busting out drinks. He grabbed our drink order and we tried to order skillet queso, but they didn't have any. We got the southwest queso, which was excellent! Very similar to the skillet queso but with spicy peppers instead of meat. We were very pleased with it. Our entrees came out. My husband got the chicken and steak fajitas. The meat was not so hot it sizzled like we're used to, but it wasn't room temp, so no big deal. His tortillas had been placed on top of his cheese so his cheese had melted onto his plate, and his rice was cold. I got chicken crispers with two dipping sauces, fries and mac and cheese. My fries were cold. The noodles in my mac and cheese were not cooked all the way. My tenders were hot, but the expo had spilled most of my buffalo ranch onto my basket and didn't bother to offer me a fresh one (we saw her rebalancing the basket from behind the doors into the kitchen). There was no way I was going to ask the bartender to get me more as he was too busy. I would recommend the bartender, Jonathan, any day of the week. But the expo (who I think was the manager based on her attire) and the rest of the kitchen staff need to put in more effort. We likely won't be dining here again in the near future.

True to its namesake, there are brightly colored folk art designs throughout the restaurant in line with their Mexican heritage. The trees that make it look overgrown from the outside actually serve to allow sunlight while masking the surrounding city, facilitating the transformation that makes you feel like you're in Mexico City. We came at an off-peak time in the afternoon and it was nearly empty. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and attentive. I was pleased to see some unique menu offerings like Birra Ramen and Sopes that deviate from the standard American-friendly fare in most places. Drinks were good - we had a regular house margarita, a triple berry margarita, and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. All were tasty and I would order again. I tried to order a Mezcalita, since it's not often I see a Mezcal option, but they were out of that particular liquor. We tried to get street corn as an appetizer, which they were also out of. We got cheese and salsa with chips instead. The chips were hot and fresh, the salsa generous with the cilantro, and the cheese bold and warm. For entrees we had the Al Pastor Quesadilla and the Birra Ramen. The quesadilla was good, though the beans on the side were pretty bland. The ramen was a unique and very tasty option, and I was not able to finish such a generous portion. I think I'd leave the cheese out next time since it made some weird textures, but the flavor was great overall. Overall, there are some small things to improve (having menu items in stock, bland beans) and the prices were a bit high, but we had a great experience overall. I'm not often in the area, but I'll certainly eat here again if I am!

This is one that's been on my list for a while. Finally I was able to make it here today for lunch…read morewith some colleagues, and I can say for sure it was AMAZING! I got there at Noon on a Friday, it was not too busy but we were a party 5 so once we got in the place looked a bit crowded as we had wait in line to order. When we got to order it got busy, so another server came in to help take our order so we didn't have to wait for long. The ambience in the restaurant was amazing! It had a an amazing Latin vibe with great music playing and food to back it up. I was with two people who grew up in Miami, and they agreed with me so I know this was a good Latin restaurant. Coming to the order, I got a shredded chicken torta with no cheese along with their spiciest salsa and verde salsa on the side and the boiled (they had fried as well, but I just wanted to be healthy) yuca. The torta was delicious, the spicy salsa gave an amazing kick to it and it chomped it down in no time. The boiled yuca was a bit bland but the verde sayce helped with that. With my friends from Miami loving this place, I will definitely be back here to try out mlre items out of their menu!

BOTH the chicken and beef are perfectly cooked and filled with flavor. My friend ordered the Bistec con Tostones and loved it! She orders with black beans instead of refries beans. She wishes there was cheese involved and will order a side of cheese on the future. She loves the house dressing and the Peruvian. Wow! So cilantro heavy and yummy and creamy. I ordered the ACP and ADORED it. Perfectly cooked chicken and rice was lovely. Broccoli, onions and zucchini on point. I'm personally obsessed with the pink dressing and poured it over my whole bowl. Love love love. Will be back. Thank you!
