First of all, it's cash only. There's an ATM machine conveniently located inside the restaurant. The ordering process was easy. We were greeted immediately and handed a menu. The service here is fantastic! The staff greet you with smiles and warm welcomes. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We were there at an off peak time so there were no issues finding a table. My husband ordered the 3 taco deal. He chose steak as the protein. I had 2 individual tacos so that I could try the barbacoa and cochinita pibil. We also split the guacamole with handmade chips. It came with 2 tasty hot sauces. I could definitely taste the jalapeño in the green sauce. My husband loved all the spicy toppings and sauces. It was exactly as we thought it would be in terms of flavor. Especially the cochinita pibil which is something we had previously in the Yucatan. Everything was so clean and fresh tasting. The technique in making the barbacoa truly brings out the full flavor of the lamb. The value was there considering the amount of protein in each taco. The toppings were all fresh and delicious. The nopales (cactus) was a new topping for me. I had a few on the side to try it. It was a nice addition to the barbacoa. I can't forget to include the mango agua fresca and complimentary cake in this review. The aqua fresca was the best I've ever had. The mango was all natural. I didn't detect any artificial flavors. I believe the cake was apple cinnamon. They make different ones daily or seasonally. It was the perfect ending, and not too sweet. Don't miss this gem in South Philly. It's on 9th Street and just south of the Italian Market area. It was totally worth a special trip. I'm so glad we got to experience it for ourselves.

Staff is super rude. my best friend lost her wallet in the Uber and had to wait outside in subfreezing weather for an Uber. By the way she is 23 and does not look underage. Their hours advertise they are open until 2AM, however at 1:45 on my friends birthday they stared at us with resting bitch face and played the song sorry for the grotesque language "get the fuck out my house bitch." As someone who has personally worked in the service business as a waitress, I have personally waited two hours past closing before getting a manager involved. Getting involved myself would have caused me to be terminated and I feel that is the proper way to handle this situation. I will be calling management tomorrow morning because their behavior was unacceptable. I gave this establishment one star because I have to give stars to post:( read more

Just went here for the first time the other day and it was awesome. They have a large selection of draft beers and an awesome choice of arcade games. The place is really large and open near the arcade and has a bar as soon as you walk in. There is also a sweet little outdoor area leading out of the arcade. The games they have are siick. Tapper, Frogger, OG Mario, Gauntlet, Ms.Pacman, and a bunch more. 30ish total if im not mistaken. They only cost a quarter too, just like in their prime years. My girlfriend and I just moved into the neighborhood! We came in yesterday hungover and in need of a cure. The lunch special is a great deal and the bartender was friendly. We didn't think barcade would be our regular bar but after yesterday we will be back. The bartender was super nice and recommended a fresh grocery store in the neighborhood and her favorite hang outs. The beer we had was awesome and from a brewery I had never had before. This place is well hidden in an old warehouse a block off of delaware ave. It still has the original warehouse feel with big open ceilings and exposed brick. The beer list is a mile long and they also have mixed drinks. The food is just so-so, mostly little sandwiches. The best part is the video games. Tron, Androids, paper boy, ninja turtles, Mario, galaga, and 30 plus other games all only .25 cents. It's not a weekend spot but I enjoy dropping by one a Tuesday night once in awhile. read more

At times, dishes and drinks were cleared a bit quickly--especially while I was in the middle of playing ping pong--but it really just reflects how prompt and on-top-of-things the staff are. On the flip side, they also help collect stray ping pong balls and keep buckets refilled, which makes the whole experience much smoother and more fun. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out with friends. You're really coming here for the ping pong and the energy, and on that front, it definitely delivers.

We came recently as paying customers on a double-date and had a great time again. If you're playing ping pong you can eat and play at the same time, but it's a little awkward because there's only so much room for your food. Overall, the food was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Well, except for the grilled Korean chicken sandwich; that was the highlight. Other dishes like the fries and the burger, per my husband-- were just simply passable. The truffle fries were much better than the ones that showed up with my sandwich, which by the way I had no idea came with the dish. So, I paid for fries twice. The ambiance is cool, very instagrammable, but it is super loud. I don't know how anyone could talk to each other. Cool if you're playing ping pong and just hanging, but don't think you're going to catch up with an old friend here. Not unless they have a more subdued experience earlier in the day. We came on a Saturday night and I had to be right up on my friend to hear her.
