She had fried calamari which was beautifully presented, the hanger steak with green chimichurri, Eggplant Tablao (fresh mozzarella, fried eggplant, and warm tomato ragu), and the warm goat cheese with marinara sauce and pesto crostini. (Portion was super small) oh yeah, we also had the paellera consisting of chorizo, chicken, pork, clams, mussels, shrimp. The bread with olive oil was a nice simple touch as well. For drinks, we had a margarita and a Manhattan. The Manhattan was amazing...the fresh orange zest really elevated the drink and infused it with a bright citrus aroma right away. Definitely recommend trying it! We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Luis. You can tell he truly takes pride in his craft and creating an experience for his guests. So I stopped by here on my way into the city with a few friends on a Monday night a little over a week ago. The food was great and the wine was delicious as well. My friends and I figured that it would be somewhat quiet on a Monday night, like most restaurants are, but it was completely opposite. I think it's great that a restaurant can be busy late on a Monday night and got a great vibe that the restaurant group knew what they were doing. But then I realized they aren't very good at hiring. When we first got there, I was very observant because I used to work in the restaurant industry for many years. I could tell the what servers worked hard and what servers were more casual about their job. I spotted who the manager was. A female.. seemed to know what she was doing for the most part... but as the night went on, she found it appropriate to dance on the bar in front of all the guests. I was extremely disturbed and disgusted. My girlfriends and I felt that it was very degrading. It's one thing for girls to be out at a bar drinking and dancing on bars, but what excuse is there for a manager? I asked the bartender what her name was and if she indeed was a manager. They shook their head yes and laughed a little. I instantly felt uncomfortable and my friends and I paid our bill and quickly left after that. Emily, the "dancing bar" manager, left a bad taste in all our mouths and we don't plan on going back there. We were at Barcelona Wine Bar, not Coyote Ugly. My first time coming for brunch with my boyfriend. We decided to sit at the bar. I have to say the service and food was amazing. The bartender Jeff had such a great personality and was super helpful when we didn't know what we wanted to drink. He told us they had their new gin and tonics and also a few brunch drinks. Both of us ended getting the mimosa, which was so good and fruity. We got one of each of the speciality mimosas. Once we got our drinks and were deciding what we wanted to eat the manager, Brandon, came over and told us he had just added a strawberry and blueberry dish to the menu. He also recommended that we try the torija. We ended up getting both of those things to try because he was talk very highly about both of them. He explained that the best breakfast snacks are also desserts, and he explained the history of where the Spanish style French toast came from and how it is often enjoyed as a dessert. We love Barcelona! Even taking COVID into consideration, they constantly impress with delicious food, wine cocktails, and a fun atmosphere. Tiffani and Al are great-- as are the rest of the staff. We've been a frequent client of Barcelona for the past couple of years, and really have seen a huge improvement ever since Tiffani took the reins. She is one of the main reasons why we continue to enjoy Barcelona at least once a week. Under her leadership, the staff are friendly, helpful, and (during COVID) extremely safe. She and the staff are also extremely helpful and observant about our specific food allergies, always ensuring dishes are prepared with our health in mind. Overall, we cannot be more impressed with Barcelona. We have a large friend group as well that loves the restaurant and loves Tiffani and Al. Even if we can't dine together with them during COVID, everyone has continued to enjoy a taste of Barcelona from home (or socially distanced outside at the restaurant)!! read more

Another amazing visit to Barcelona in Norwalk! When we walked in it was busy and they were about to seat us within a few minutes. Our server was amazing and super helpful with the menu. Both managers, Brandon and Elizabeth, came over and talked to us while we were eating. They brought some food to the table as well as our servers. The food was amazing and always is. My go to is always the chicken pimento because it comes out delicious every time. We ordered a few tapas also that were also so good! This place is amazing and the music and scene is always great! I said it before and I will say it again, Barcelona will always be one of my favorite places to dine and I've never had a bad thing to say about it. This restaurant that looks amazing, the food is always really incredible and the service and staff is like no other. me and my wife came to dinner August 18 and it was one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had! The food was amazing. The service was amazing! The restaurant has great music playing that's not too loud so that me and my wife could have a conversation and actually hear each other. We tried the potato tortilla and it was delicious. We also ordered the chicken skewers and the chicken was cooked perfectly in the sauce, it came with was so good! we had a couple cocktails also and they were delicious. I got the bourbon spice rack and my wife got one of the gin and tonic's. The manager. Brandon came to talk to us and he has such a fun and friendly personality and was a great person to have a conversation with during our meal. Of course the food is fantastic and occasionally the staff is helpful. I have been harassed multiple times by a lot of the patrons that come in. Most recently this location but also the Stamford one too. I wish there was better control over who and who not to serve drinks. I want to feel safe where I go, especially Barcelona, I frequently came to. It was insulted receiving a complimentary tapas when I still see the same persons that harassed me and harassing other people at the bar still there. Also receiving the same harassment from one of the employees, Harding(?) did not help. read more

Came here for New Year's eve. Lovely atmosphere! Prices are on point for the quality of food. We ordered 5 tapas and it was plenty between two people. Their scallop ceviche paired perfectly with crispy brussel sprouts! One thing I would keep in mind though - although their chicken empanadas were great, you get only two per order! I was skeptical about coming here because the pictures make it look more like a bar than higher-end restaurant (neither my boyfriend nor I drink), but it really is a nice, cozy place! I fell in love with this place, it is everything you want in an elegant yet casual neighborhood restaurant. (That is if the restaurant is in Europe.) Paci occupies the old Southport train station, and the renovation has been handled with evident respect: the bones of the building are beautiful, and they have been allowed to speak. The setting does much of the work. Metro-North trains glide past the windows, lending the room a gentle, cinematic rhythm, a reminder of arrivals and departures while one lingers happily in between. Service is warm without being cloying. The staff are friendly in the unforced way that suggests genuine hospitality rather than rehearsed script. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.
