This place has a gorgeous sit-out area and a wide selection of cocktails. They are priced quite high but I think we knew what we are up for since this is a fine dining place. Please note, they have no beer on the tap though. The food had a good variety and was amazing. We ordered the chips and guac, they had about four different varieties of guac and all tasted amazing. I got myself the tequila chicken which was breaded chicken breast cooked in a mushroom sauce. It was lovely. However, if you are a cocktail lover, this would be a good catch for you.

If you have to come here for one reason, let it be their cocktails. I am a very picky cocktail drinker - either its too sweet or too sour or not enough alcohol or too much. This place though - *chef's kiss *. We did not order any food since we just came out for drinks but the food looked great (on its way to other tables). I probably wont come back here often just because it is a very pricey place - the cheapest cocktail was $13 I believe. Might just save this one for special occasions but definitely worth a visit!

What I like about Cactus Rose?- many things! I have been here a few times and always enjoy the food and drinks. Went for lunch this past Sunday and it reminded me I had not written a review of this place before. 1. First off, the layout of the restaurant is fun and offers a variety of seating options. My personal favorite are the high tables in the bar area which are great for couples or the outdoor covered patio area is very cool and have enjoyed when with larger groups. 2. The drinks are always fresh and balanced. I like sweeter drinks so tend to get their mango mojito or one of their specialty margaritas like the Cactus Rose (with muddled strawberries). My husband likes drinks less sweet and enjoys their caipirinha. 3. Service is always very friendly, attentive, and accommodating with drinks, water refills, and menu suggestions or substitutions. 4. Fourth and final- The food is great! I think what I appreciate most is they offer many lighter fare mexican options which is what I get most often. Stand out is the tuna tostada! I have also tried their corn chowder- definitely homemade and very balanced flavors, super good! They have a variety of good salads, vegetarian and other fish options too. Often their specials are worth getting. My husband just tried a special chorizo burrito with rice, black beans, avocado, corn, and cheese which was really good! Our waiter had actually recommended it and he was right, very tasty. Oh!....almost forgot- child friendly, has a kids menu. My youngest has always like their macaroni & cheese. Consistently good food and drinks with comfortable seating makes Cactus Rose a real winner in my eyes!

Fun atmosphere and the music was great!

We hesitated to try Cactus Rose after the 3.5 star average. However, we noticed that even the 1 star reviews commented that the food was good, so we decided to take our chances on the service. We're so glad we did! The service was very friendly and prompt. (Jeremy in particular was very nice.) The tequila selection was excellent! They had a whole display of lovely Clase Azul ceramic bottles. Yum! The food was very flavorful. At our table, we had guacamole as an appetizer and people ordered the BBQ salmon, the chicken enchiladas, and the kids tacos. All were excellent. We had the warm brownie and Nutella crepes for dessert. As we left, my son was offered cotton candy as a treat. How nice! We'll definitely be back.

The food is well seasoned and delicately made. Worth every penny I payed for. The Shrimp Al Mojo came with well seasoned rice combined with the sauce was a perfect match. It was creamy and flavorful the same time. The Octopus was well cooked, well seasoned, and had a great compliment with a tasty salad that had a subtle hint of sourness.

This place is incredible…read more From the sushi to the absolutely freshest seafood its A+ top to bottom. They even carry steak in case you are going for the good Ole surf and turf. Service is also top notch. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite food item here is the Nordic roll. I have one and I'm full for the rest of the day. Its one of the best bites of sushi you can have in CT. Enjoy!

Fantastic little fish market/restaurant offering fresh seafood, sushi, and prepared meals. I loved…read moretheir fish & chips and lobster rolls! I stopped by for a quick lunch and was impressed with their fast casual hot meals. My group mentioned that the fish & chips were some of the best they've had! The lobster roll was also tasty, and it comes generously sized with plenty of lobster meat and sides of coleslaw and your choice of fries, veggies, chips, or corn. The brioche bun for the roll was also perfectly grilled and buttered up. In fact, we learned that the restaurant gets their buns fresh daily from a nearby bakery. Since we had arrived for an earlier lunch and the bread wasn't ready yet, there was actually a ~20+ min delay in getting our food. Regardless, the food was delicious, and the staff were very apologetic and offered to serve our sides while we waited. If we lived closer or brought a cooler, we'd probably bring fresh seafood back home. Would definitely love to stop by again one day!
