The food is great with a lot of variety. The bar is fun and drinks are good. Outdoor dining is fantastic.

Everything was perfect! We walked in for dinner on Thursday night. The patio was packed ( and loud!) so we opted for inside. We were seated immediately and started looking over the diverse menu. Our server came by with water and took our drink order. We had the ahi appetizer , and it was great. Great portion for 2. I ordered the seafood couscous, and my wife had the short ribs. The bass, shrimp, scallops and clams were absolutely perfect. The couscous had some white raisins mixed in, and when I got a bite with a raisin in it, it was a explosion of flavor in my mouth . My wife said the short ribs were perfect, tender and flavorful. We also ordered sides of the sautéed mushrooms and spinach. What I liked about both is they were cooked just right, and not too much oil/butter that you get sometimes. Our server was always there to make sure we were taken well care of, but not omnipresent. Based on last night, I will be booking an annual holiday dinner with a group of friends at Bardot. Can't wait to go back. read more

I love the food and craft cocktails here. The prices seem a little extreme for some of the items. Service has taken a very long time the last two times we went. Once we had to ask to be greeted by someone and just get water even. It had been 13 minutes. Servers were going by, just to other tables all assuming we had been helped while nothing was on our table that would suggest that. read more

I came for my birthday dinner with a girlfriend I loved the restaurant. Just the ambiance was loud and fun with music made it really nice. Their burger was so delicious, I ordered it medium rare and it was so good. The ceviche was also amazing, very simple but yummy. Nice restaurant in Harvard Square within the college campus of Claremont. Parking was not easy on a weeknight. We had a reservation for 7 pm and were promptly seated. Restaurant seemed full but not packed. A server brought water right away. And then we waited and waited. Finally after 20 minutes a very pleasant server came and took the orders. And then we waited and waited. Now the two appetizers came. And then we waited and waited. Finally the main course arrived. After an hour of being seated. As soon as the food came, I asked for the check because we weren't going to stick around for the dessert. The good thing is that the food was very good. Steak was cut perfectly and the server was very nice. I am very disappointed in the service because it will hold me from returning again. read more

I had lunch on a hot sunny day, the outside seating is nice. I liked the atmosphere, I had a delicious cocktail, to start. Some bourbon berry smash, a nice cocktail. I then tried their ceviche, i did not like it at all, bland flavor and a super strong fishy taste. I then tried the que paso burger. I found the burger to be bland and over cooked. The burger was not bad, just super average at best. I will say the service today was not the best. My server was nice enough but when i got the appetizer she never asked how it was and if she would have paid attention at all she would have seen that it was barely touched. She also never checked how the entree was. Suspect disappointed with the meal, not sure if I would go back. The food and drinks are not cheap so i would expect better food and service. read more

Went there for birthday for friend. The waitress was superb! She explained to us to scan for menu. She brought us two clean small plates as we wanted to share our food. The steak was medium rare which cooked to perfection. We loved every dish we ordered except for the Peruvian ceviche which was not Peruvian enough but that's OK w us. It was still delicious. Decided to try this place out tonight for my 30th birthday and it was a little disappointing... I first ordered a dirty martini... they forgot the dirty... then they brought it back in the same glass with my lipstick on it and it was so watery... my fiancé had to go to the bar to get it remade for the 3rd time.. our server never even realizes that I have a new drink... never even asked about the remake from the beginning... Our food is delivered by someone else... our server never comes to check on us to see if everything is okay... they completely forgot the dressing for my fiancé's salad so we're just sitting there waiting to catch someone or our server for the dressing... while the rest of our food gets cold... We finally order dessert and it takes so long it's a little ridiculous. The manager brings it over and says they're overwhelmed... I'm sorry but I've worked in the restaurant industry and that was not busy, you had servers all over the place and in different sections and the bar was practically empty! I spent three months in the Claremont area for work and visited Bardot MANY times. In fact, I took anyone who came to visit there, and would consider it one of my top five favorite restaurants of all time. Really nice patio, the service is always great, excellent sangria (a must), and consistently delicious food. While the pappardelle and beef short ribs were personal favorites, the fettuccine, fries, goat cheese lollipops, macaroni, and creme brûlée's were also all very good. I would definitely recommend visiting if you're in the Claremont area - and I would also recommend making a reservation to ensure you can get in! read more

Very good food and service. I have always enjoyed my experience here but have only gone for brunch and lunch. It is a little over priced and dinner is moderately expensive. Went for lunch today and they were closed. A small sign states that they are only open for dinner starting at 4:00pm. The website doesn't show any change in hours. We were disappointed and probably won't be back for their expensive dinner. The least this restaurant could do is update the hours on their website. read more

Came here for Halloween brunch and we had reservations so we easily got seated in the outside area. They had a nice covered patio area. Staff were all dressed up as pirates and very cute and nice. Pricing is definitely on the higher side and not a typical cafe pricing. Totally bummed out because they did not have anything available that had crab and I wanted to try the Eggs Oscar. We order the Queen Mary $13 which is like a bloody mary with bacon and shrimp, super yummy and honestly can be a meal lol. Then we went for grilled pear salad $14 which was delightful. We ate that as an appetizer and shared amongst four people. Then we tried the french onion soup $10 which was pretty good, not the best I've had but it was pretty legit. For main course brunch we orderd the pork chops and eggs $18 which was delish. You get two thinly sliced pork chops with eggs and potatos. It was enough to share as a couple. For dessert we decided to do the berries & creme brulee waffle $13 to share. Food was all delish and service was just ok. We had to ask for refills and clean plates, etc. Only main negative I would say about this place is parking which seems to be the problem in all businesses around the area. Lastly, the restroom situation is not ideal there. Such a big place with lots of people eating and they only have single restroom for each male and female. I had to use the male restroom which had a urinal and single stall. They should just make them gender neutral since they only have one for each. Makes no sense that they are only required to have one restroom with such a large restaurant and that's why they only get 4 stars from me. read more

This was our first time here. We definitely will be back. We had the lollipops (fried goat cheese on a stick) and duck tacos appetizers, they were delicious. I would go back just for that. This place stayed in my memory because they had the best French onion soup & when I had it this time, it was not the same. It had no flavor whatsoever. Very very bland. My mom ordered the scallop plate & it was also very bland. The carrot & ginger sauce purée looked like baby food & it had no flavor as well. For sides, she ordered au gratin potatoes & those were bland. No flavor once again. She also ordered a long Island iced tea & a blueberry lemon drop drink & they were very tart. The only good thing I can say about our meal is the sautéed spinach tasted great & so did my beef satay skewers. Our waitress was great too. I don't mind pricey food but only if it's good & this place is just overrated to the extreme. Maybe the owner needs to get better cooks that actually know how to season food. This is the first time I am writing a bad review for a business. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant if you wanna have good food. Long wait time both for getting seated and receiving our food. I ordered the short ribs and Steak and both came so late and not even warm. The quality of Costco's FROZEN short ribs are much much better than it. I have no idea why the restaurant is that busy. Made reservations online for a Sunday morning brunch for my sister and I's birthday. Hostess was very apathetic, and possibly hard of hearing? I had to repeat myself three times. Seated outside on their patio and the sun was glaring down my mother's back, one of the food runners was able to move the umbrella to help with some coverage. Brunch menu is extensive and overall decently priced. The ambiance was quiet but busy, and the patrons who dine here are a mix between college students, older couples, and snobby stay at home moms. Food was good, portions were decent, service was attentive. Probably not my first choice for Sunday brunch in the near future. read more

The Fettuccine Alfredo was cooked perfectly, and the prawn inside the pasta was amazingly seasoned. The Seared Scallops were fresh and juicy as well delicious. The atmosphere is very nice as well, we sat on the outdoor patio and it was comfortable and beautiful. The food here is very good. I'd give it a solid 4/5. The drinks are always on point 4.5/5. Service for us each time has been 4/5. The bad is the noise level. At the bar directly you can't have a conversation without listening to 20 somethings in college who only seem to know the F word. 1/5. In the outdoor dining area it's closer to 3/5. The location is nice. The food is decent, but very fat and unhealthy. It's always the same over and over, never change! The servers are a hit or miss, depends who is working that day. The hostesses always look unhappy and uncomfortable, they never smile and stand there stiff and sour....puzzling.... I prefer Eureka! way more for the quality of the food and drinks, the ambiance and the welcoming and attentive staff. We made a reservation probably a week in advance for a large party. Bardot called me about an hour and a half before my reservation to inform us their pipes burst. The person who called me said she would give us a call back to let us know if they could still accommodate our reservation. At this point, it's impossible to find another restaurant nearby. My friend and I went here for brunch last weekend and it was awesome!! We both had a mega peach mimosa and it was definitely mega and delicious. We split the goat cheese, spinach & mushroom omelet and the crème brûlée berry waffle. The omelet was savory and cooked perfectly. The omelet was heaven! More like a dessert, so yummy. Our service was perfect. Friendly and prompt server. Has a really nice patio, recommend making reservations as this is a popular spot! Wanted to bring the wife here for date night on a Friday. Place has a cool ambience and is a chic bar. I had the duck tacos and the wife and I shared some truffle fries. I also ordered a "bold" fashion which is an old fashion with an espresso ice cube, it was Great. I had no issues as my food was good and my drink was fabulous. Now why the 1 star you may be asking yourself? Very simple my wife ordered fish and chips of DEATH. The fish had sharp bones in it, 6 of them in fact. We were lucky she didnt hurt herself. She was able to pull the bone out of her mouth with out impaling herself. We most graciously returned her food to kitchen and notified our server. Her manager did come over and offer a drink or dessert on the house but we refused. We paid our bill and left. Her lemon drop drink was also below average (didnt even sugar the rim properly) and that was our date night folks, glad we survived the culinary wizardry of BarDot.
