We arrived at 7.30pm on a Friday night and wrote our names on the chalk board waiting list, eventually waiting 25 minutes for a table for two... it was worth the wait! I ordered the $10.90 Sheila's Cracked burger which has beets, edam cheese and a fried egg, and just for the hell of it I doubled up the burger meat for an extra $3 - something I enjoyed even more knowing the meat is USDA organic.The burger when it arrived was HUGE and worth every cent as it was cooked to pink succulent perfection - the biggest problem was getting it in my mouth! We also ordered a small plate of skinny fries to share which were both salty and sweet. My girlfriend ordered the Bare burger which she liked although she would've liked a bit more of the BBG sauce. Our server was really friendly and funny, and finally the take out box (not me, I gobbled mine) was made of cardboard rather than the horribly bad styrofoam that some places use. Well done. The atmosphere was what you come to expect at a pub in PB...a little grungy, and small. The first beer I had ordered was awful for a pale ale on draft. Stopped here for dinner last Friday night, hoping to kill some time waiting for freeway traffic to die down. What a find!!! Very good service, a great spot right by the "window", and stomach-pleasing grub. Ordered the Maui Waui burger medium rare and the sweet potato fries. Burger was so perfectly cooked, exactly the way I like it. It was hot, juicy, tender and full of flavor, and the bun holding it all together was one of the best I've had. The fries were insanely good...and that BBG sauce is killer!!! My beverage choice had to be non-alcoholic since I was the designated driver of the evening, so I went with an iced tea. Even that was really good. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that the hubs ordered the St. Paddy's special corned beef sandwich on marbled rye....which was very flavorful, but skimpy on the amount of corned beef. Ordered a patty melt last night. It was delivered by the new PB food delivery service. I was impressed by the quick delivery of still hot food. However, the patty melt sucked! I ordered it medium rare on sour dough with Swiss cheese. It was well done on ungrilled bread and tasteless. I have had this sandwich from Bare Back numerous times and it always came on grilled bread like patty melts normally do. They have amazing fries they put this sugar on their fries and they are cut really small so you take your time eating them ... and I dont eat meat but I had a fabulous veggie burger that tasted incredible. Great service, awesome food.....but definitely try this place out with a coupon or during happy hour (or their "beat the clock mimosa" brunch specials on Sat and Sun). If you venture there outside of these deals you'll still be satisfied, but it will cost you a pretty penny. Two burgers, fries, and a few beers got us up to $70 very quickly!!! I'd recommend coming in early on a Sat or Sun ...mimosas start at 50 cents at 10 a.m. and increase incrementally throughout the day -- much better value for your buck! read more

First time here. First, the food is fresh, and tastes great. Cocktails are okay, nothing special. What is really disappointing, is the service. It's one of these situations where you look at the menu prices and then start presuming that for a $15.00 burger with no fries, one should be treated better. If this were Mcdonalds you would expect to be ignored and not feel welcomed. Two burgers, two cocktails with tip and tax was $55.00. We were totally ignored, felt totally unwelcomed. The place was very busy between 6-8, and there was one server for the entire restaurant, and one bartender. We were told to find out own table, which the only area was on the patio. We sat there and sat there and sat some more. Finally, we went to the bar to order. We were told we had to wait for the server. So we waited and waited and waited. Finally, a table opened up inside. We have now been at the restaurant 15 minutes, maybe longer with no water, no food, no contact from an employee. We sat at a table which we guess was in the bar section, and waited and waited and waited even more. We wanted to be respectful to their process and not approach the bartender, and upset the server. We made eye contact with the bartender two or three times, and he just looked away. Finally, one of us walked to the bar and he says, oh you're in my section. Well he had one customer at the bar, we have now been here almost 30 minutes. The food comes pretty fast, the cocktails were made quickly. By now, the bartender is annoyed because he's now having to help the server because every table is full. He's barking orders to her to seat customers waiting at the door, instead of doing it himself. We wait for the check and wait and wait some more. I mean, this waiting went on at every step from the moment we walked in, to the time it took to beg them to take our money so we could get out! $55 later, and nearly 90 minutes most of which was just waiting to be acknowledged, we escaped the chaos. One the way home we pass a burger king which has a sign in the window, 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks for $8.99. I gotta tell ya, if I knew I could save $45 and not wait nearly 2 hours and beg to be served, I would never go back here again. I guess it's nice that the meat is grass fed, but for the treatment we got, I could care less what the cow was fed. If you're wealthy and have a lot of time to risk, it's a good place to go, otherwise, go to burger king. read more

Literally the best burger in the world... I've been going here since a week or so after they opened a few years back and every time have been impressed my the burgers. This is the only place that I trust to get a RARE burger. The quality of the beef is incredible and these guys generally do a good job of cooking and dressing it up. I've found that this location is better than the downtown location for rarer burgers, generally the DT one overcooks everything (order "as rare as possible" and it comes out medium to medium well). The downtown one is nice though because they have a MUCH better beer selection, including many local brews and they also have awesome desserts. Try the "Barely Legal"... huge oatmeal cookie (doughy on the inside) in a foot shaped pan and cinnamon ice cream on top, good for two people (although I've eaten it by myself several times). Love the food and delivery...buuut bought the dine-in only $35 food for $20 Groupon which was only good for a few weeks and I could never find parking even midweek mornings. Sooo, it expired and was only good for the original $20, which I was informed still had to be used dine-in only. On my 20th attempt I was able to stalk someone and got a parking space YAY! I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches NO ONIONS and water since they only serve alcohol and soda, the sandwiches came with onions which the smell alone made me nauseous, and one sandwich came with chips--gross!! I tried to use a knife to remove the onions but ended up using my hands which now smell like onions no matter how much I wash them...the bottom of the plate had some disgusting sticky stuff on it which got all over the counter, my sleeves, my hands, my cell phone and wouldn't wipe off...So basically I paid $30 for just 2 chicken sandwiches and nothing else (yes I still tipped)...couldnt eat the sandwich and got to leave all sticky and smelly... read more

Ate breakfast for Mother's day here. The sausage that came with my kids' meal was under cooked. When I notified the waitress, I simply asked her if he could get two different patties because they were pink inside. She said she had to take the ones he had first (as though I was trying to just get extra food) and when she brought the new ones she states "My manager wanted me to let you know..." and I think there's an apology or something coming "...that they still might be a little pink inside because that's how they are." I said ok... but when I cut them open the new ones were actually fully cooked. I wanted to order the "kiss my grits" for myself because I saw it on their website, however, they took it off the menu 2 weeks ago. That was a bummer. I had my heart set on it. So instead I ordered a burrito although another lady eating there told me that their burritos weren't very good. Still, I thought I'd give it a try. I should've listened to her. The burrito was not good at all. The coffee was weak and watered down. My friend ordered the french toast and it looked so good. She actually enjoyed her meal. The beat the clock mimosas were perfect! The place was clean and atmosphere enjoyable, but the food could use some work. Although our waitress was pleasant, I don't feel the issue with the under cooked sausage was handled well. An apology would have been suffice. I didn't ask for a refund, not even a discount, just for fully cooked meat. And I was mostly bothered because it was my 5 year-old son's food; I hope his tummy isn't upset later as a result. I may try this place out again because I've had a couple of other good experiences while eating at Bare Back, but this visit was pretty disappointing. read more
