Out of all restaurant chains, the Hudson is my favorite salad and I would have it every day if I could, haha. It has green goddess dressing on top of lettuce, baby greens, bacon bits, spinach, avocado, grape tomatoes, red onions, and a sunny side up egg. The only thing I would take out is the blue cheese. Bareburger has a great selection of meats with the burgers, quality cheeses, and a huge vegan menu. When Bareburger just opened, their onion rings were my favorite beer battered onion rings ever but now it's just covered in hard bread crumbs. I had a great experience at bareburger. We were immediately seated midday on a Saturday. The decor is really cool looking and the staff is friendly. It's definitely a family friendly atmosphere. I had the standard burger with fries and onion rings, it was cooked well - juicy with just the right amount of toppings. The onion rings were nice and crispy! I actually ordered a Samuel Adams and it was gross, I said I didn't like it and the waitress gave me a new beer for no extra charge. I had a great time, I'd totally recommend it. read more

This was a default dinner spot as none of us could decide what we really wanted. Originally when Bareburger opened in Bayside it was the go to spot for a burger that was good and you felt good about eating because the beef was exceptional. Tonight's meal was ok, nothing special, edible hot and just ok. Onion rings were hot and crunchy but the fries underneath in the basket were limp. They were served with 4 dipping sauces - barbecue sauce, thousand island, ketchup-curry-ginger (yucky), chiptole mayo (yucky). Havana Sandwich - brisket with bacon and pickles. Very delish from the person eating it. Bareburger with Gouda Cheese - also very good per G. G likes his burgers burned so he was loving his burned burger. To me the burger looked very small. Maybe the more you cook it the smaller it shrinks. Pickle chicken sandwich - this is Bareburgers take on the Chick-fil-a sandwich. For all th restaurants who try and copy CFA's chicken just stop. They have it down to a pickle chicken science. So why the 3 stars when the food was pretty good....well....its because of the hassle we had at the end of the meal over an expired Groupon that we presented. So the Groupon was only worth $10 and I had printed ages ago, but the printed copy was not good enough. The manager came over and told us we had to pull up the Groupon app and show her the voucher. Say what??? Seriously! So I had to download the app, then request a password reset...oh good gosh was this a major irritation all for $10 voucher. How customer friendly was this experience. Then to top it off...the manager comes back to look at the app and click the redeemed button, yup...she had to press that redeemed button for my expired $10 Groupon. Then, to end it all she says...its only worth $10, my response, yes...I am aware of that. Yes I can read the terms and conditions. Went on a Tuesday night, place was not crowded and there were only 2 other groups of customers. Food overall was fine, I ordered the standard medium and rings&fries to share. Other people in my party ordered the buckaroo and a custom burger. Keeping in mind, the place is not busy so I'm not sure why the cook messed up on the doneness of one of the burgers (medium well was requested, ended up with medium rare). Ordered the peach unsweetened ice tea which was ok. The onion rings and fries were good, we got 2 sauces special (mixture of mayo, ketchup, etc) and sriracha mayo. Service wasn't up to par, but I did tip accordingly. It was my first time to this place, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a self serve type of joint right...? We made clear that we were a party of 4 but he just led us to a booth with 2 napkins already there but didn't bother to get more, so we ended up requesting for more napkins and some tableware. Throughout service he kept conversing with the cashier so it was hard to get his attention at times. They had a bunch on the menu, enough for me to already think about what I would get on the next visit. I got the Blazin Bison Burger and my friend got the Matador Burger. We also got large fries with Thai Ketchup, Special Sauce, and Sriracha Mayo. It took quite a while to get our food, and the fries came at the same time as the burger. The burgers itself are a breath of fresh air when compared to the usual greasy fast food burgers. They had creative ingredients like Guac or Queso, which worked well with the other ingredients. Overall, this is quite a step up from regular burger joints, but still retains the casual atmosphere of them. They weren't cleaned until we asked them, of course with attitude. Saw this new burger joint open, so the wife and I decided to check it out. I'm a big burger eater, so I've had my decent share of burgers. Didn't think the wait would be long, since this is such a new restaurant, but it ended up being a half an hour wait. My first impression, place looked really cool with all the fixtures, and old wood tables. I tried The Original burger with beef. The menu said it came with the bareburger special sauce, but I couldn't taste it. The burger tasted ok. Nothing special. Also tried the Onion Rings and Fries Bareburger Combo, which I thought was pretty good. It came with 4 sauces - peppercorn steak sauce, curry ketchup, spicy chipotle mayo and the bareburger special sauce. I really liked the peppercorn and the curry sause. The best thing about Bareburger was the service. The server was super friendly, always checking in on us. So in the end, the place looked cool, service was good, but the burgers were just ok. Tried the classic burger and brother's sweet potato fries and it was a truly 2-star experience. Given the price point, I've had much better burgers for cheaper. The buns, meat, sauce, veges, nothing were truly remarkable. However, they offer quite a few options for vegetarian patties, so that may be their strong suit? We decided upon Bare Burger on Bell Boulevard and it was simple and easy to order- all we did was order online and we parked outside and the employee came up to our window and gave us our food for take out! This was my first time here. Glad we came early because the place is small and fills up fast. But don't let the size fool you. This restaurant delivers. The hostess and waitress were super friendly. I had my 3 year old with me ( who just woke up from a short nap and was super cranky) and we were seated immediately. Had high hopes for bareburger being that there are so many locations and with chains like shake shack and five guys everywhere how hard could it be to make decent burgers/sandwiches right? Came for lunch straight after class to meet a friend and her son, we ordered bbq wings, a kids cheeseburger with fries meal, she got the ranch chicken and I got the dilly sandwich (fried chicken sandwich) and two bottles of wolffers rose cider . The wolffers was the shining star here, while the texture of the wings was good, crispy and crunchy with tender meat inside... the sauce was so sweet and syrupy it was a bit sickening. The burgers were a total miss. About half of my chicken was so dry and hard I couldn't even chew through it... my friend also said the outside of her chicken was too hard. The fries weren't as good as shake shack or five guys given the texture and seasoning ( tasted stale) so do yourself a favor and stick to the safe burger places read more

Bareburger used to be one of my favorite burger places. I've been going to this establishment since it first opened and although they've renovated the store since then, the quality of their burgers have definitely gone down. Their burgers used to look very well put together and was much more appealing than other burger chains, but now they look like an expensive organic version of Burger King burgers. The burgers themselves felt smaller and more fast-food like than they used to be. Despite the decrease in quality, I do see an improvement in the menu. They have more vegetarian options so it's not exclusively for meet lovers. They also have an option to choose a green leaf wrap instead of buns (perfect for those who are on a low carb diet or just don't like bread). I actually got my burger with the green leaf wrap when I came and enjoyed it a lot! It was still just as filling as if I had a burger with buns. They use spinach for the leaf wrap I believe. The spinach wasn't too chewy to bite surprisingly! But be careful while eating this because the juices make it very messy to eat. I highly recommend getting their rings and fries because you do get a good amount for the price. Fountain drinks only come with one refill! But you get your drink in a large cup so one refill should be enough. The servers were also nice, just the type of service you'd expect from any restaurant really. read more

Been here several times now and I hate to say but the service and food quality declined since my first time here. Just ordered a Great Plains burger that comes with sunny side up egg, medium bison beef, American cheese, onion ring , brioche bread and as soon as I picked up the burger, the egg drooped out. It looked like the egg wasn't even cooked because it was still liquidy and see through. I asked the server and they ended up having to also cook my beef to medium well in order to do the egg so welp, it was an unsatisfying burger in the end. Bareburger definitely have some interesting items and customizable burgers so I wouldn't hold it against them to try those out. The one thing I've tried here and has always been good was the macho fries. But I didn't come to Bareburger just for the fries. Came here to visit my aunt and have some lunch. She sent me a copy of the menu about two months before our lunch, and I have to say that I was a little apprehensive. Well we arrived. It was a lot smaller than I had imagined. It has the seating area of a small Taco Bell. The menu is very diverse and all of the ingredients are fresh, natural, and organic. I had the Bison Burger. It was surprisingly good. Very fresh and juicy. I had the fries with it and they too were very good. My wife had a regular ole cheeseburger - which she said was also very good. in fact, I had a bite and have to agree with her assessment. The service was very good. she came by just enough and yet not too much. The restaurant is clean and well take care of. It was a hot day, so being without walls made the temperature more uncomfortable - but overall - a good visit. I used to live in the area and came to Bareburger frequently, today I was back in town and decided to stop in for dinner. Overall I was very disappointed. The service was lacking and left us with cold food and a long wait. One of the most frustrating things that can happen when you dine out is having tables who arrived after you served first, and that is exactly what happened. After ordering and getting our iced tea (milk shake took some time and arrived with melted whipped cream), we had to wait easily 20 minutes until our rings/fries and burgers arrived. The worst part is that no one came to check on us during that time and we had to stop someone to ask for our food. When it finally came out, it was cold and had clearly been ready for some time, waiting for someone to bring it out to its table. When I asked the server if they had forgot about us, he said the kitchen was backed up (but not backed up for the table behind us or to the right of us.) I've been to a few bareburgers before and this is by far the worst one I've ever been to. The service is extremely slow. It took maybe 30 minutes before we got our order in. Then every time the server came back, she always looked annoyed that she had to be there. Granted, I don't blame the server at all, she probably was having a bad day and was the only person working in a very crowded restaurant. The other person who was there seemed to be doing nothing. Additionally, we were originally seated by the window, which could have been nice, but the area was covered with flies and other bugs. We asked to be moved as soon as another table was open (which of course was before we even got to put our orders in). When our food finally came, it was OK. The sweet potato fries were a little burnt in my opinion, although some people might like that. The brussel sprouts were a little underseasoned in my opinion. I got the wham bam chicken sandwich. Only complaint is that I wish they they had a full bar, don't mind the beer option just would have preferred and option of a mixed drink since I'm trying to cut down on beer. My friend tired the Impossible burger for the first time and thought it was very good, especially since it's meatless and looks just like beef. They gave the option of medium or medium well which I thought was cool. I ordered the turkey burger which I've had before.
