I have to say I am very disappointed with my last visit to the Bayside location. I actually took my Boss/Friend there to treat her to the Impossible burger. Thankfully her burger and mine were good as well as our Server, Jack but when I saw that some of the onions rings were undercooked inside, I should have refrained from ordering a burger to-go for her husband who is trying to be a Vegan. He didn't eat it because he said the inside of the burger was not cooked. When we came in, the lunch crowd had subsided so I don't understand why the cook was rushing. First off, the decor is really cute, very midwest themed with wooden like tables, and our waiter was really attentive so no complaints there. I have heard great reviews about their burgers, however it's not my cup of tea. I came about two weeks ago with a group of four. We started off with the shareable onion rings and fries. The onion rings were pretty good and large in size. The fries were just fries Lol. The four special sauces was the best part, they have the curry ketchup, habanero mayo, paprika mayo and barbecue. The curry ketchup has a very distinctive and good taste, my favorite of the four. I ordered the Supreme burger and so did two other friends and one ordered El Matador burger. My supreme lacked flavor, it is nothing I was going crazy for. I don't think it was the "best burger" as many claim. My friend mentioned that their bison burgers are better so I may come in for another. I ordered online to go. This is my second time. For some reason it's always when I feel sick and don't wanna cook. I love me some organic food. The email said the food would be ready in 80 mins. I was only 10 mins away so I decided to just go in to see how long it would really take because I wasn't going to wait 80 mins. It was pretty empty in there so I figured it would be done sooner. Been a few years since I've had a burger but once I saw a post about the Buckaroo burger I couldnt resist stopping by. The Bayside location isn't too small there were plenty of seats available during lunch on a weekday. My boyfriend and I ordered a pitcher of beer, 2 burgers (one customized and the Buckaroo), and a large order of rings and fries ($9.95). Tip 1. If you get rings and fries it comes with 4 dipping sauces all of which are an option to your burger when you customize it ($1.75 extra charge). One was BBQ sauce, another was their Habanero mayo, and 2 others I couldn't distinguish. So just ask what the dipping sauces are if you order it and save yourself 1.75 if you want it for your burger because they give plenty with your fries. Tip 2. Unless you can eat a LOT of fries with your ginormous burger a small order of rings and fries will do because we wasted a lot because we were so full. Our patties were both cooked the way we asked, medium, and the brisket was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Didn't have a single complaint while dining here. This is my third time here and I don't know if it had to do with the staff there that day or what. But the service was terrible from the moment we walked in. They waited everyone who came after us, before us. They didn't bring no utensils, water or napkins until we asked. JohannesB was rude in rush to get us out. We heard the employees discussing about their customers. Even talking to the customers about other customers. I was just really disappointed, I don't wanna say they treated us like that because of our color but it was very clear what they were doing. They brought us the check before we even finished eating the food. My burger tasted horrible no seasoning nothing! I was just truly disappointed and upset. Bareburger has never been an option for me, simply based off the fact that I don't eat meat. Ive never been a fan of beef and even when I did eat chicken, eating it at a burger joint never crossed my mind. In my Yelp search for new lunch spots today Bareburger popped up. I checked out the menu and they had 3 vegetarian options that sounded appetizing. I headed right over there. I dined in and the service was fast and effecient. I was in and out within 25 minutes. The restaurant has a few booths but mostly tabletops and seating for about 24 people. The environment was warm and comfortable, reminiscent of a wood cabin. All they were missing is the fireplace. There were grizzly bear portraits hanging on the walls which added some charm and unique chandeliers over each booth that were decorated with utensils. Pretty cool! I did notice some dust hanging from one of the fixtures though which wasn't very appealing. It wasn't over my table so I didn't mind. I ordered the farmstead burger which had a sweet potato and wild rice patty, baby kale and cauliflower hummus on a sprouted bun. I also got a side order of sweet fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and lightly salted, yummy. More than enough for me to take some home. My burger had an interesting mix of flavors, they complemented each other very well. The patty was good but fell apart some which made eating the burger a little messy. The cauliflower hummus had a slight tang, which was a nice flavor contrast to the sweetness of the patty. I give this place 2 stars for the staff but for the location this place is in, suburbs of queens, the price point is off and the food is sub-par. The only notable thing here is the fried pickles. I had the roadhouse organic lamb lettuce wrap burger. There was no seasoning on the meat, the bacon was waaay over cooked so there was no salty meaty bite left in it and it felt like I was chewing on leather than bacon and none of the flavors melded together. There were 4 adults and 1 child dining and it came out to a bit over $120.00 with tax and tip...for burgers and some fries and fried pickles in queens?!?! Come on now!!!! Yeah yeah organic and free range...but do you know that free range doesn't mean shit because a farmer letting his animals out of their cage for just 5 minutes a day is considered, "free range". The last change however, was questionable and disappointing. This is VERY different from the Bareburger that first opened up. Now run by corporate. I love Bareburger! What meat-eater can say no to free-range, pasture raised, antibiotic and hormone free meats of fourteen different varieties hardly found anywhere else? I had the Big Blue Bacon with an elk patty, medium well. "Wisconsin Amish" blue cheese - sharp and a great accent to a meat, country bacon - was nice and sweet, and bacon marmalade, on a brioche bun - the closest thing they had to a "standard" recognizable hamburger bun. I ordered a regular order of fries on the side, but had to pay extra for a couple of dips - house special mayo sauce which my friends and I really like, and tried the Thai chili mayo which was alright, sweet and tangy. The patty was rich, quite bursting with flavor, savory, moist and not dry. The overall flavor, probably due to the country bacon, bacon marmalade and smokehouse sauce, was overall smoky. The fries were decent, of the fresh hand-cut variety, not too soggy or crispy, and the sauces were no cause for complaint. This is my second time at a Bareburger and my first time at this one in Queens. I'm happy to report that service is as top notch here as it is in Brooklyn. On a rainy Tuesday night, when I was feeling both crummy and hangry, our greeters and servers were welcoming, even when we asked to be moved to a booth because the draft was coming from the door to our table. Our waitress replied with a smiling 'no problem' and proceeded to moved our menus and water glasses with no complaints. If that didn't set a positive tone already, the peach bellini definitely did. Sweet, fizzy, and refreshing, it's a drink that I'd love to have with brunch, but burgers and fries would have to do. Like all Bareburgers, this establishment has three main parts to their entree menu: their signature burgers, build-your-own burgers, and the appetizers. Forget the salads - you don't come to a place named Bareburgers and order a salad (and when a vegan tells you to avoid the salads, one would do well to listen). If you're on a low- or no-carb diet, you can switch out the bun for a collard green wrap. The signature burgers draw from a wide array of animal meats, from bison to elk to turkey, with two vegan/vegetarian options. The indecisive customer can pick from this selection; it takes the brainwork out of ordering. But if you're into customizing your meal, the build-your-own menu is a grand time, picking and choosing what you want atop your burger. Just be warned - some of these additions will run your till quick. I built my own, with a farmers quinoa patty, vegan cheddar, guacamole, condiments, and an assortment of veggies, and my burger jumped from the base $8.80 to nearly $14 just like that. Of the many veggie burgers I've had, especially in Queens, this was certainly on my top 10, for flavor alone. The quinoa burger was tasty and I'm not sure what brand of vegan cheddar they're using, but it was stretchy and tangy (much like Daiya, if you're familiar with the brand). The only downside was that the patty started falling apart on me three bites in, forcing me to put it down and dig in with a fork and knife, and that always feels just a little prissy when I'm only eating a burger. My date, a non-vegan, daringly decided to order the same burger. Her verdict? "It tastes healthy," she pronounced, after her fifth bite. Take that to mean what you will. The fries, which we ordered with our meal, were tantalizingly fresh and crisp, and immediately cut the conversation at our table short like all good fried carbs should. They were, in my opinion, the high point of the meal. If you like burgers, if you like fries, if you like the thought of consuming various animal meats that you wouldn't get anywhere else (or, like me, if you dread the thought of eating any animals at all), if you're okay with paying gourmet prices for a slightly-above average burger...you'll have a good meal here. Bareburger has been a family staple for us for quite some time now (six years and counting). We love the consistent great service, the consistent great food, and the consistent reliability of the staff, even through the worst of the pandemic. Not a big fan of the new decor (we miss the reclaimed wood table near the entrance) but we can adapt. I have no doubt that this will be fondly remembered by members of our family through the years to come as a fun, family-friendly, comforting place to be. The decor of course like most bare burgers has that that rustic recycled reused organic look that just puts you in the mood for some good grubbin'. I love bareburger. They are a local organic chain throughout the boroughs and Long Island areas. They strive for all their menu items to be organic grass fed & no hormone meat. If you've never been before the server will always walk you through the menu, they always ask if you've been before when you sit. All the servers are so friendly and helpful. They must have a rigid training for helping / talking to customers because they are always so on point; it really makes the experience so much nicer. They recently changed a few things around on the menu, but all their menu items are deliciously crafted. All their store interiors are rustically decorated featuring reclaimed items (more rustic and reclaimed than Shake Shack). The interiors make you feel like you're eating at a cute farm house I adore it. Everything I've ever gotten, burger or sandwich is always amazing. Plus you don't feel greasy or bad about yourself afterwards. They have options from veggie burgers to bison burgers, chicken sandwiches and fun funky flavor combos on their burgers like fried egg and onion rings or guac and pico de gallo (love!!) The only thing that bothers me is that the bayside location is kinda tiny. They do their best to make you feel secluded with tall-backed booths, but it's just disheartening that the location is kind of smaller than others I've been too. But this is just me being picky. First of all this location is beautiful! The decor is cute and the seating arrangements are set to the bare theme with a wood effect. Very in the woods but cute. The staff was really nice and super helpful. I'm personally not picky about how organic my meal is but this was and accomplishment. I tried a Bison Burger for the first time and it was magnificent. The texture and taste were close to beef however this was leaner and had a more distinct flavor. A good experience but not something I'd crave. Unfortunately keep in mind also that it's an organic place so no matter how bad you want a Coke with that burger remember their soft drinks are made with raw sugar and what not.. I mean, it's a Bareburger. If you're feeling like having a filling burger, but don't feel like clogging your arteries, Bareburger is a solid choice. Granted, you'll be spending quite a bit more than you would say at a five guys or shake shack, but it is what it is. You pick a type of burger, type of meat, type of bread and then whatever sides or apps you want. I had the big blue bacon, which is always great even though it sounds like I'm ordering a UMich burger (and the Wolverines suck.) Crumbled bleu cheese, sautéed mushrooms, fried onions and BBQ sawse, and I opted for the bison and the brioche bun. My friend and I split the sweet potato croqs and an order of the fried pickle chips, and you do not need to bother with anything else on the menu. Those are the supreme "I want to be a fatty" apps and you will not be disappointed. You get an assortment of four sauces (honey mustard, buttamilk ranch, chipotle mayo, and another one whose name I keep forgetting) so your pickle chips and croqs won't get bored. The burger was cooked just slightly past medium, but was still delicious. The only discernible difference between this BB and the one I frequent in Brooklyn is that the waitresses here look really pissy and annoyed as they type your orders into old iPod touches while in Brooklyn, the jolly hipsters type your orders into iPad Minis. A group of friends and I came here for dinner on Friday night around 8:30pm and were seated within a few minutes in a booth towards the back of the restaurant. We were greeted by our server, whom we thought was just playing with her iphone but apparently they use it to take orders! Interesting! We ordered assorted pickles, sweet potato croqs, and a combo baskets of onion rings and french fries. All were served with a variety of dipping sauces. I love sauces! I think I liked the sweet potato croqs the most of the three sides. For my burger I ordered the The Western bison burger, medium rare. My boyfriend ordered the Bareburger Supreme bison burger, medium rare, but it was served medium.
