We were genuinely interested in learning more about Red's history and offerings, so that part was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the donuts themselves did not disappoint. My wife chose the apple fritter, which she loved--it was flavorful and fresh. I went with the donut holes, which were light, sweet, and tasty. The smells from the sidewalk are enough to get anyone's attention, and we weren't surprised to find a line. They kept the line moving and when we got to the front we had a tough choice to make. I got the chocolate frosted with chocolate chips, it was fluffy, just the right amount of sweet, and hit the spot perfectly! Staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our mid morning treat. Back in my car I could not wait to taste both. The donuts were warm and fresh and the lemonade was good as well. And while my son is not a fan of desserts, he also agreed that the lemonade was good. Being in my 40s, I don't enjoy overly sweet stuff anymore. Both the donuts and lemonade suited my tastebuds. I ate most of the donuts before I even left the parking lot. They were so good. So with in a two week span my wife and I spent over 100 dollars on food from two different restaurants in Salisbury that unless we just happened to hit on an off day we were very disappointed in our food.
