Went for the Colombia game as a last minute thing and was relieved to see that they literally had screens everywhere. Staff was fast and attentive despite the busy scene and was able to quickly help us out anytime we needed anything. Over a fun and lively experience at the SM location

Barney's is always the best sports bar on the promenade! The food is always great, I love the apps such as the mozzarella sticks and pretzel sticks. The staff is always really friendly and accommodating. On a typical night, they'll put on a dozen different games on their many TVs. They also have many games upstairs including shuffleboard and pop a shot which I've enjoyed with my young cousins every time I'm in the area. It'll get crowded on a big sporting event night but can be an intimate spot at any other time. A must go when in the area.

Despite the decline of the 3rd Street Promenade, Barney's is consistently well visited and well liked. I hadn't been in a few years, so wife and I decided to go for brunch. It was sad to see so many storefronts closed up, but Barney's was unchanged. Great nostalgic decor and vibes. Same newspaper style menu. Same huge selection of food and drink. I ordered the Ultimate burger with onion rings, wife got a breakfast combo. We both had bloody marys, which were excellent. The food however gets mixed reviews. She loved her breakfast. My burger was just ok. Under seasoned and probably made from a pre-formed frozen patty. Onion rings were good. Service was exceptional so that saves the brunch from a 3 star rating, along with the great drinks and the happy wife. Lastly, value. A 2. Especially considering the mediocre burger was $22. All together, $69 before tip. But yeah, it's Santa Monica. What are you gonna do?

Came here for drinks and to roast some s'mores. There was no wait time for on this Saturday. They allow dogs, you just have to sit in the patio area. Alan was our waiter and he was very kind. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was because I was expecting more s'mores for passing $15. If I am in the area and don't have anything else interested in eating, I would try something of their menu.

Great pub location and lots of televisions with lots of games. A sports bar with lots of different decor, album covers, license plates, lunch boxes, photos, and more. Service was great from the hostess to the server to the busboys. Had I been to the bar I am sure the Bartender would have have been good too. So the food was filling and very flavorful. Now I had ordered the chorizo and eggs. The chorizo was delicious. Herbs and spices mixed just like the way mom made it. The hash browns were crispy and to top it off they brought out jam with the toast. My brother had the Barney's hash and said the plate was really flavorful as well. The promenade is not what it once was but Barney's Beamer is worth coming back too.

What a wonderful wonderful place! This is now my favorite Barneys location anywhere. Just wonderful ambience and vibes. Really nice outdoor patio on the third street promenade with cozy booths and a beautiful long bar with extremely comfortable chairs, as well as plenty of comfortable booth seating throughout the whole restaurant. A lot of very entertaining eye candy everywhere as well as plenty of games on the second level. Pool tables, Pac-Man, air hockey etc., etc.. very beautiful layout and TVs absolutely everywhere. They have some pretty fun events Monday through Friday like movie night, trivia night, karaoke night. Even a pool league! What a fun place! Skinny cocktail was made to perfection and my only complaint is the two times we ordered cocktails, we had to ask where they were. The bartender didn't seem to be focused on her job at all. Abigail was fantastic. Great personality and a great server! I had the Bueno and Solada. Taco shell was fried perfectly and all the lovely flavorful, shredded chicken and sautéed peppers and Coquita cheese and lovely amount of beans smeared on the bottom was just divine. He had the chicken quesadilla and it looked lovely. He said it was good. Prices aren't too bad. Next time I'm in this area I will definitely come back in. Fabulous!

Well, I've been to the original Barneys many times, but this is my first visit to the Santa Monica location. We very much enjoyed our visit here and we were constantly entertained by all the details of the establishment, something to look at everywhere! There's a cozy environment inside no matter where you sit and really captures a lot of the original location's vibe. The food was good, but nothing too special, but we very much enjoyed interaction with our server who had a real great positive attitude and made our visit that much more fun. we visited for a late lunch on a Tuesday and had almost the whole place to ourselves. One thing to check out, the barstools are all old automotive seats, and are very comfortable and kind of unique.

Hadn't been to this location in many years. We came in around 3pm last Sunday and Collan was our server. He was great and provided amazing customer service. I got the Pomegranate Lemon Martini and my friend got the Eat a Peach and we shared a pizza. Everything was great. We look forward to coming back to try more drinks and food! The ambience is great, I love all the decor. They also have pool tables for you to play, they have outdoor and indoor seating too,

Cool spot to catch a game. Came here on a Sunday to catch the AFC divisional round game. I think this place is more of an "eagles bar", but we just wanted a place to sit down and watch the game. They have so many TVs so it's awesome for that. Our server was great, very attentive. I got the chicken tenders and a side of fries. They were pretty solid. My sister got the margarita pizza. She said it was meh. Overall, this spot is cool to watch a game. Not sure I would come back just for a meal.

Really wish I had better to say... came here last night with at least 6 friends for drinks after ice skating down the street. We got here at about 8:30 and it was pretty empty. It was a Tuesday night. We crammed into a booth and a waitress finally came. I don't remember her name (I think it was Jamie) but she was friendly. We ordered like 6 drinks, fries and a couple chicken tenders/onion rings. I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 30 minutes for 3 of the 6 drinks to come and another 15 minutes for the food to come. We were finished with the food by the time the other half of the drinks came which was very confusing. I think our waitress checked on us one more time and one of my friends ordered a beer and 2 shots. That's it. It took another 20 minutes for them to come. We were literally commenting on how long each order took even for something as simple as beer. We actually thought they forgot our order. It was EMPTY so this was very frustrating. We sat outside and it was fairly comfortable but honestly I don't know if I'd come back. We all loved the food and the drinks were great but the service was horrendous.

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.

It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.
