Barnone is a nice collection of shops all in one setting at Agritopia. After grabbing a light meal, we walked around here to check out some of the crafts that people were selling. I have been eating at nearby Joe's Farm Grill for years and have not made the time to walk over here. You can't miss Barnone because they are housed in a Quonset hut made of steel. Inside of Barnone is a salon, machinist, printmaker and other services. They had an evening artisan fair going on when I stopped in. I love seeing other people's creativity and was impressed by the products that were being showcased by many of the artists. Barnone also has a few restaurants. Fire & Brimstone, 12 West Brewing, Garage-East and Uprooted Kitchen are just some of the places to grab a bite or drink. It is really cool to see how much this area has grown and expanded over the years. I still enjoy getting a coffee at The Coffee Shop and going for a walk at Agritopia Farm. Coming over here to Barnone, having a meal and then checking out some art made for a nice evening out. I am looking forward to making future visits here. read more

This is such a unique addition to the Agritopia neighborhood in Gilbert. It is, quite literally, a barn. One of the best pizza places I've tried in Arizona, called Fire and Brimstone, is located inside. There is also an assortment of small shops inside with various venders, a few more restaurants, live music, and more. Very cute place!! read more

I wanted to explore the Uprooted Kitchen and never realized that this place is much more than this it's full of beautiful local stores and I would honestly love to come back and visit. Loved this spot! It's connected to some fun, eclectic shops that were fun to check out. My friend and I had lunch here, enjoying a fresh wedge salad and pizza in the sunshine! It was the perfect spot to spend time with a friend and get a quick bite. The area is really beautiful and we enjoyed a walk through the community garden before heading across the street for food. I have been a fan of uprooted kitchen for the past couple years and had to check out their new location at Barnone this weekend! I think Barnone is a good addition to agritopia farm. I like the feel of it, it does seem like kind of an obscure combination of places (a gun store..a small hair salon..) but I enjoyed my first visit here. There was a little shop with holiday stuff that I liked, and I really want to check out that wine place, I came early and it was still closed. I will definitely be back to Barnone, very cool. read more

I tried this place out based solely on Yelp reviews! It also may have come up via, "Yelp Elite" notifications in the past. I visited this bar/pub with my father. As it turns out, we just bought a growler of their, "Easy Tiger Mexican Lager" to enjoy across the room at the, "Fire and Brimstone" restaurant. (We wanted some pizza). From what I could see, the sitting area had a few televisions, and everything was clean. The bartender was all-over-it! Very efficient and friendly! The bar/restaurant isn't very big, probably more like a family room size. The photos I took show about 70% of the current sitting area. I would recommend this place to family and friends. It's more like a "bro's pad to watch the game" kinda place. read more

Exceptional craft beers and a surprisingly amazing pizza kitchen! We had the carnivore pizza that had local sausage, ham, pep and bacon. It was crispy without being too well done and very flavorful. I went this last weekend for my first time to celebrate a birthday. Staff is super friendly. They will give you samples to find a beer you like. I was beyond impressed with the pizza! Their pizza is so yummy and I recommend going to try them. They have other specialty pizzas that sound amazing to go try! You go up and order and they bring it out to your table. It is getting hot outside, but they do have misters running to help some if you sit outside like we did. Great place! read more

I really liked everyone I met here running the various shops that are set up within. The Brewery was awesome and had a nice vibe and the pizza place right across from it smelt so good. I wish i would have brought my appetite. All in all, I was impressed with the detail and art of the entire building. It really looked nice and was very well kept, clean and not crowded at all. This place is all about craft and it definitely exemplified that from my first visit. I will be back with friends and hope to spend more time at some of the shops that were closed when I was there. Really wanted to like this place. Very complicated alcohol situation where u have to buy from the bar next door and carry closed containers in. We ordered a pizza which was decent and a ceviche. The ceviche was terrible bordering on inedible. Very underseasoned, no hint of lime. A full bowl sitting on a bed of chip crumbs you'd find at the bottom of a Costco bag. The bar next door was primarily beer, seltzer and kombucha. It was all order at the counter style but still asks u if you'd like to tip 25%. I guess it's just not my style of restaurant. Tucked away inside of the barn. Locally brewed... brews and a nice seating area, as well as a patio. I enjoy the clever names of the beers and the staff is decent. I believe it's a walk up and order your brews type of place because, the 2 times I have visited is how it's been done. The service is there for beers as soon as you walk up. Granted, it isn't really a place that has the capacity to be tightly packed although I am sure as locals learn about the barn, visits are likely to increase. I know the pizza place right in front of it is a BYOB eatery. I also know you can't take your open beer to eat pizza but can take a growler there to accompany your pizza. I am not sure if you're able to take your pizza inside of the bar and do it that way? Again, I am sure we will be back at some point since it was a decent atmosphere and we know we are supporting local businesses. read more

Enjoyed a beer from 12 west and a wood fired pizza from fire and brimstone. FYI, if you are eating at fire and brimstone but you want a beer from 12 west they need to put your beer in a sealed container, a Crowler because F&B doesn't have a liquor license or sit at 12 west. Just keep that in mind when you order. Bottom line...pizza was great and so is the hummus plate. It would be nice if they had olives and pickled onions or cucumbers to put on the hummus, but the hummus is good. If you're a big IPA fan you'll like 12 west their selection is pretty limited no bold dark or amber ales. The atmosphere was a bit loud, servers were excellent, very nice staff! So it's Black Friday and I'm thinking about what to do. Guess we will hop over on the Cruisers to Barnone to grab a pint of dark beer. :) Barn-one (not bar-none) is a very interesting place but also not really "a" place rather a collection of many. It just opened this week (they were busy) and they did a really nice job creating a clean farmhouse industrial feel under a tin half dome that I think has always been a part of the farm property there. It has been reinforced and they did an excellent job keeping with a nice farm/industrial feel using lots of metal, open ceiling, and neat fixtures. The collection of shops is really unique but admittedly I shot like a dart over to the brewery area as soon as I walked in. It is small but bad ass. I circled through about three of the beers - the Frontside IPA, Midnight Run Coffee Stout, and the Sunday Morning Saison. All three were excellent with the Frontside and the Stout being standouts. We met Noel Garcia the brewer who is very down to earth and very humble and cool. He talked to us for a while as he cleaned glasses in the sink. He is involved, happy, and should be very successful from what we saw and tasted. 12West is a solid brewery for sure. We got hungry and so we walked 15 feet over the the area of Fire & Brimstone. Sitting side by side with 12West, F&B nailed the few things we did try there. First off folks, the fire roasted creamed corn is freaking crazy crazy good. Yes I know, how good can corn and cream be.... just eat it and send me a thanks. I was about to lick the cast iron skillet clean when they offered extra pita then refused to take any money for them. The hummus was very good as well. The outdoor patio was great but needed some shade. Zero - I mean zero shade out there now so it was like sitting on the sun when we tried in late Nov so I hope they improve that space. I did not get to explore the whole Barnone because once you have a beer in your hand you are limited to the patio and the bar area which I did not like. I'm sure this has more to do with lawyers than Barnone but it is disappointing. If you could wander with brew and enjoy a nice shaded patio this is a 5-star joint for sure. Give them a try and don't forget that creamed corn! read more

Barnone is the place to be on the weekend ! they have damn near everything you need in one place. A brewery, wine bar and a pizza place all in one spot. They also have FANTASTIC live music on the weekends. It's not that crappy bar band that plays way to loud and makes you want to smash a full beer mug against your skull, just to get the noise to stop !! the band ALWAYS sounds great and is a just the right volume ! the outdoor seating at the wine bar has couches and lots of great seating to enjoy the great vibe and get to know some of your neighbors !!! We absolutely love Barnone! If you didn't know, Barnone includes many different stores / restaurants / and a brewery! The location is really cool, set right in Agritopia there is a large community garden to the north you can walk through. Barnone itself has three restaurants (a vegan food place, a pizza place, and a brewery) a paper place, a really cool craft place, and a gunsmithing shop! Next door is a coffee shop, which is also an awesome stop! And Joes Farm Grill is just a hop, skip, and jump past the coffee shop. There is also a wine bar with a patio shared with the brewery and pizza shop. Once you park at any of these locations the others are all in the same area. We pretty much bring all our friends here whenever they visit us from out of town to grab pizza and a beer! I often go here for coffee. read more

It's very possible that Barnone could deserve more than a two-star rating, but I based upon my experience, two is all I can muster up. After all of the hype around Phoenix, I was so excited to check out a new artisan/craftsman community. I really loved the Union concept at the Biltmore and was jazzed that someone had tried again. After doing my due diligence in checking their website, Facebook and Yelp to make sure that Barnone was, in fact, open on a Sunday in Gilbert, my mom and I made the 40 minute trek from Central Phoenix to the East Valley. Imagine my surprise when we walked into the complex and there was a total of one retail storefront and a small hair salon open. The owner of Prickly Pear Paper was very lovely and explained her shop to us, mentioning that even she was only open from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. At 1 p.m., it was like a ghost town. In Barnone's defense, the brewery and restaurant were open. And I'm sure the food and beers were tasty, but we were too disappointed to stay. Advertising that your space is "now open" from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week is totally misleading. Perhaps elaborating on which parts of your complex are open at which times would be helpful for future customers. I will definitely give Barnone another try next time I'm in Gilbert on a day other than Sunday and will reevaluate my ranking. Until then, I'm super bummed. read more

Very cool concept! I met up with my girlfriends for dinner and we chose Fire and Brimstone. The hummus was tasty and the pita was served hot! We also shared the wedge salad and it was to die for. The produce was fresh and the homemade buttermilk ranch had a a little heat that was delicious! The pizza crust was nice, thin and crispy! We also grabbed a beer from West Brewery steps away from F&B, I had the Bop Bop that was infused with blood oranges. I'm not typically a beer drinker but this drink could very well turn me into one! Overall, great experience and will definitely return! P.S. The Butterscotch skillet cookie with ice cream is a MUST!! read more

Very cool concept. Kind of a mix of a Denver brewery and hipster wine scene mixed in with edgy homegrown craftsman shops. There is a restaurant on site too. It is nifty to putz through the different shops or just sip on a local beverage. The decor is very modern but warmed up with funky and vintage undertones. I did notice the patios are situated in front of the metallic and reflective exterior of the buildings which could, and probably will, render them useless once 90° + hits. Just a thought. The beers were expensive, $13 for two, but they were local and yummy. Would recommend this place and want to make a return visit! read more

What an amazing concept to bring Gilbert locals together. Isn't that what community is all about? Supporting and gathering together. The selection is small, but really so cool and beautifully done. The businesses are only open during the day. Brimstone restaurant is open for dinner along with a local brewery and local winery! Such a lovely place and so glad Gilbert has something like this. I've been to Barnone 4 times now. Mostly on the weekend. 90% of the businesses have been closed every time. The few that were open had very little interest in serving customers or even acknowledging that customers existed. Unless they don't actually need customers, I don't think any of them will still be in business by the end of the year read more

Came to 12 West Brewery and had some beers. The smell of the fire grilled pizza had me hungry, so I ordered myself an F&B pizza. It was so delicious. I waited to order my "cookie in a skillet" (like a Pazookie at Oreganos). Went up at 9:05 and they were closed. I was bummed I didn't get my dessert. However, Sandra (or maybe it was Zandra) cane through and brought a cast iron skillet (chocolate chip cookie w/ice cream) to my table and said "this is for you.....cause I know you wanted one". Service here is TOP-NOTCH. Never get rid of that girl. read more
