Food was mediocre, I got a salad that was soggy so I had to send it back and something went wrong because we had ordered our food and other people came in and sat down and got their food before us and not just one table about five tables so that was terrible service, they would've got one star, but the server was nice. New menu. The food was just okay for the price. The wedge salad was pretty good and the wings were okay. The chicken was a bit dry and overcooked in the pasta. Steak was a bit on the pricey side, had it medium rare but still wasn't that good. The burger was decent... all in all a decent place since you are locked in great wolf. read more

They need to work on their menu again, re-print them, re-order them, re-write them by hand or whatever. It was super super hard to read those piece of paper that they called "menu". Whoever designed those menu must have slept through their designing class or whatever. Tell me if you can really read it. Kids told me their friend had even a better handwriting than the menu. That's the only star i took off from my review. Overall, the ambience was great, food was good and we didn't hav any problem with our order or server. They were nice and provided what we needed. The restaurant looks like a typical resort-style restaurant, but when you come in, it is filled with very friendly wait staff. The tables are well-spaced, but not too far away that you feel like you are on an island. We ordered our food and it came out fast. The waiter was friendly and even had some fun interactions with our son - well, it is GW Lodge. :) I had not eaten lunch so I ordered the ribeye, thinking it would be just OK. To my surprise, it was EXTREMELY juicy and flavorful! The food was something you would expect out of a higher class steakhouse! The prices were reasonable and the drink menu was also good. We came late on a weekday so we got seated right away which was great! We all felt like eating pasta..My kids loved the spegetti and meatball. My husband and I both got the Alfredo. I got chicken and he got shrimp. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was super salty, and we like salt so that was odd. The Alfredo sauce was actually too thick and the flavor was off. We left with a heavy stomach feel. I would definitely opt for the red sauce or bolognese (was not on the menu when we went) if possible if you want pasta! read more

Our first night here at Great Wolf Lodge and this was the first restaurant I seen when walking in. They have a really great food selection on the menu and amazing alcoholics drinks you can have while you unwind and let the kids play or eat. Food was so good I'm very picky about my steaks but this was made with extra love and I didn't even have to tell them to love it. Very quick service. Will be eating here every night I'm here. It was really convenient and the service was okay, i feel it should have been better considering we were the only table. We were here for Christmas and of course it's busy. We were able to get a table via walk in however the hostess failed to let me know that she would be seating me, and my four children outside in 44 degree cold. They insisted that there's heaters, but that isn't doing anything because it's just a cold. The only reason why I gave him one stars because yelp requires you to give them 1 star. server is insisting that we have to heat lamps around us and it should be fine but I'm trying to keep my kids freaking healthy but here we are and of course there's nowhere else to eat late at night I just thought it was a freaking courtesy to let someone know if you'd be sitting by my side, especially when it's in the dead of winter. This place is a shit show of a dumpster fire. And our server totally won this one star I'm leaving. As far as the food goes, don't even ask. I'm sure it's mediocre. I'm just too upset about the sitting arrangements I was given and never have I in my adult life or even as a kid and sat outside without anyone, letting me know again, especially in the dead of the freaking winter. read more

We came here after my kid told me he didn't feel like taking the car to get dinner after a long day at the waterpark and he was craving pasta. We weren't really prepared to come here so didn't have a reservation, which is highly recommended. We came at 8pm and had to wait for about 20 minutes (they will send you a text when table is ready). Service was pretty good and the restaurant gives a cozy lodge feel which is consistent with the entire theme of the hotel. We just ordered 2 items to share among 2 adults and a child. We had the short rib pasta ($23) and the chicken nachos ($19). Price wise is was a little expensive but given the convenience I think this was expected. The food was actually pretty good although I felt like the chicken in the nachos felt like it was just boiled and shredded. Usually good chicken nachos will have grilled chicken which amps up the flavor a bit. If there was a short-rib nachos that might be something more appealing to me. We also felt like the menu was rather sparse, hence I couldn't really find anything else I like and had to settle for the nachos, and the pasta was a pretty small serving. Nevertheless I give this a decent score due to the convenience, service, and passable food. read more

Service- Joel was our server. He was kind, friendly and super helpful. Since there was a birthday, he got the team to sing a song and gave us a slice of chocolate cake. Cesar was the bartender and he was nice and also helpful! Ambiance- outside Barnwood is the hotel lobby, so it gets pretty loud, especially when there are activities happening. The place was clean and well-lit. There was ample space for a group. Food- the food was good. The ribs were a bit bland. It was more flavored with sauce more than anything. The chicken was flavorful. I'm going the split the difference between the food (3*) & Service (5*, but would give it 10* if I could. W/r/t the food, I must admit it was much, much better than I anticipated, esp considering it's smack dab in the middle of a kid's resort. This isn't your typical Water Slide or Rollercoaster park cuisine, but legit fare, with great service. And the main reason I'm giving the food a 3 instead of 4 is b/c of my steak. I knew deep down in my gut that no matter how I asked for my NY Strip to be cooked it was going to come out well done. Deep down I was really hoping that I'd be proven wrong but, unfortunately, just as I suspected, even though I asked the waitress to please make sure they don't nuke my steak, and asked for it to be cooked rare in hopes that you would come back even just medium, it was all for naught As for the service, when I say great, I mean PHENOMENAL! We had a lovely experience here! Even though we couldn't make a reservation in advance, the hostesses at the front desk were very friendly and were happy to put us on the waitlist. We were seated in about 20 minutes and the service was efficient and quick to get us our drinks and take our order! Our server Christine was fantastic. Very thorough and personable! Spicy Margarita was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals. We even had a water spill and the servers and other staff were kind and quick to help clean it up. We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge and did not want to go out to find a place to eat dinner. The website recommended reservations; but, did not provide anyway to make a reservation. We decided to take a chance and walked into the restaurant. A young woman seated us immediately in the bar area, not the dinning area. There was only one other table in use in the entire restaurant. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my wife ordered chicken pasta. The food was good. Fries passed the Good-When-Cold Test. The pasta was properly prepared with a creamy sauce. The chicken was cold and dry. The service was very good. The staff unintentionally entertained us by dancing to the music from the lobby. When we finally got called, we entered the place with maybe half capacity. Where was everyone that made the wait time 1 hour? There was more longer than usual waiting for our food after we ordered while my son was complaining how hungry he was. No flatware was given to us until we asked. Food was mediocre. The dishes with quinoa all were overly seasoned with sugar or sweetener and mushy because there was so much sauce. I've been to this place 2 other times before and service and food was not this bad. Well if we followed the reviews we wouldn't have been disappointed.... So we did a weekend trip to Great Wolfe Lodge which was expensive in itself but we do anything for the kids. So after spending all day at the water park and pool, we tried to make a reservation but learned it was a busy evening. We ended up being added to the guest list with an hour and a half wait time. We weren't upset at all as it gave us some time to rest, shower and get ready for dinner. We get the message so we arrived at the restaurant at 6:45pm. We ordered immediately and waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food to come. The sever bless her soul kept coming to tell us there is a large party outside so it's taking some time to get our food. The kids are anxious and hungry at this point and coloring was not helping lol. Food finally arrives so everyone is happy except my girlfriend and I as our plates never came. The server returns and says you guys didn't get your food we say no. She goes to the back and come back and notifies us they didn't make ours. We both express dissatisfaction verbally and via facial expressions and our server tells us she is sorry and would comp our meals. So 15 minutes later our food arrives at 8:05. My salmon was half the size of everyone else's and my girlfriends salmon wasn't well done like she ordered. They take her salmon back to I guess recook it. So the kids are all done eating and ate reedy to go to the adventure place but guess what they can't go now because they close at 10 but ticket sale ends at 8pm so they were mad. I asked for the manager because I couldn't believe the delays which ultimately impacted the evening plans. Andrew comes out and I explain to him what happens. He acknowledges that it should never happened, kids food should come out first and he wanted to look into everything. He goes somewhere returns a few minutes later and said he was sorry for everything and he doesn't know why things were the way it was. The said he would comp our meals (the 2 late meals) and give the kids dessert of their choice. I told Andrew I wanted dessert too since I was impacted as well. He covered that as well. Long story short, he tried to make a horrible experience better but the kids didn't enjoy their evening and as much as you pay for Great Wolf Lodge and ALL the activities these kind of things shouldn't happen. This was our 2nd visit to Barnwood and the menu has changed since last year. I didn't enjoy it as much as last time. Everything was more a bit expensive than it used to be and the portions seems smaller. Tonight we tried the following: - kids meals - ** mac n cheese & spaghetti & meatballs w/fries, celery & carrots w/ranch, & a couple slices of apples + drinks =$9.99 ea - full rack of ribs w/fries & coleslaw - *** the ribs were ok, not the best bbq but the bbq sauce was tasty and the fries were crisp. The coleslaw was meh. I prefer the BYO burger & Cesar salad w/grilled salmon better. That meal was more memorable for our palette. Sadly, the drinks (raspberry lemonade + tropical tango) was the best thing we had tonight. The waitress was surprised that we had so much leftovers and yet we didn't pack any of it. The service was ok. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We had reservations both times and didn't have to wait to get seated. Hopefully the next time we visit, the menu we like would be available. 3/26/22 So, we tried to eat here the night before but it was too packed and the wait was too long. But, Sat morning we did fuel up here. I'd say it was a mistake, but it's really the only "sit-down" restaurant they have, so I dunno. They do have some food-court style places, but I didn't try them. Anyway, whatever. If I didn't take the death blows for y'all then you'd be getting punched instead right? Ordering for their breakfast/brunch is REALLY weird. Like, I still don't get it, even after paying (sorta, our friends paid and I dunno how much it costed cause the price isn't on the menu. Pretty sure it was expensive.) When you sit down, they already have a bowl of fruit and a plate of pastries set out--okay, that's kinda cool. Then you are given a paper, the menu... it has 4 boxes: From the Griddle, Eggs, Potatoes, and Meats. It indicates you pick one from each category, and there's 2 choices for most categories, alright so far.... So then the waiter comes and tells us all the food is served "family style." WAIT WHAT? So we're all sharing?, and there's only a binary choice for 4 categories? Oh, and you said it's AYCE? THEN WHY ARE WE ORDERING?????? Just bring out all the food, there's only 9 different items. Why even ask??? Yeah I don't get it. Anyway, forget the AYCE part--you won't want seconds. Trust me. So when the food arrives, honestly it looks damn good. Plated pretty well--like your grandma made breakfast and put in some effort to make it look good on the table. Then I bit into it............... uh uh, noooooo that ain't granny... The only 2 items that are pathetic are the pancakes and the store-bought breakfast sausage. The rest belongs in the trash. I can't describe how awful their French Toast is--I didn't eat more than a bite. The eggs are as hard as a rock, and probably is the same mix used by that hotel out in the dessert where murders are committed every few weeks, and the dudes from Pulp Fiction have probably slept at at some point.
