Gavin and i got there at 9:35AM. After a little over 20 minutes of Gavin getting into the water or exploring the slides and whatnot, he was hungry. After reviewing available options at 10:20, we decided on this place. It's pretty reasonable ($30 for adults and $15 for children). Before we proceeded, the lady at the register informed us that the buffet will close in 40 min. and if we are ok with that. We eat pretty fast, so we paid, then started filling our plates. They have prime rib! I did not see horseradish or au jus sauce, but I did not ask either. The prime rib was bit chewy but overall very tender and to my surprise, tasted great considering this was served at a buffet. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. I was anticipating a dry experience but it wasn't. I may be 43 but still would love chicken nuggets at any time, so it's great they offered that for breakfast/brunch as well as mac and cheese which by the way is the only dish I would not recommend because it was dense and clumpy (however, creamy). During our breakfast dining experience with my family. We are a military family. I wanted to make hot tea and got earl grey that's the only tea they carried. I wanted lemon to go with the hot tea. I asked the staff and Norman assisted me. By asking the staff for lemons I appreciated it because earl grey tea is way too strong alone lemon goes best. As a mother with a special needs child and an elderly parent I already have my hands full. We appreciated Norman listening to us and found a great resolution. Didn't know what to expect even though I read reviews. I have to say we had a great tasting breakfast experience and the service was stellar. They have an egg station where you can order omelets or fresh cooked eggs. Hubs got an omelet and I asked for 2 over easy. Both of us were perfectly satisfied with our dishes. I used my eggs to put on top of the fluffiest pancake I've ever seen along with a turkey sausage patty and some syrup. So good! Our son made up a breakfast sandwich with toast, bacon and scrambled eggs. Hubs had mac n cheese (he said he could eat 5 gallons of it and I said "no!"), omelet, potato wedges, bacon and I can't remember what all else he managed to eat! But he was happy and content with it all. Coffees and juice rounded out our meals but there is so much more. Cereal, hot and cold. Pastries, a variety of breads for toasting and fresh fruit. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot. It should be easy for ever one to find something to fill up on and super charge your day! I highly recommend Campfire Kitchen. I am baffled by the good reviews that include food pictures. Those pictures look awful and the food really is. Someone said "prime rib" and if you look at their food photos nothing on their plate mildly resembles prime rib. Everything on my plate was cold. The potatoes, eggs, bacon, rock hard biscuits, and sausage were all the same temp as the chilled fruit. My daughter sat in chair that was covered in syrup. We had to change her shorts cause they were stained. When considering what hotels normally charge for this type of food the price is equivalent but the quality is not the best. However, if you can drive 12 minutes off property you can do way better. read more

We had dinner at Campfire our first night after checking in at Great Wolf Lodge. We had leftover lunch food so my husband and I ate that while we got quesadillas for the kids from Campfire. We did not opt for their breakfast buffet (we just went to Dunkin') because the prices just don't seem worth it. I usually don't expect anything amazing from resort food so this place is definitely no exception. I do agree with other yelpers that you may save a lot more money if you go outside the resort, but this is not always a feasible option when you're trying to maximize the water park resort experience! read more

The last section on the right, they have watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe and grapes in a cup. Also, have smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese, boiled eggs, yogurts and granolas. Pretty good amount of food. I have a big shout out for the staffs whose collected all the dirty dishes and spray bottle to clean the complete table including the sides. For starters, I am not a buffet person but we opted to come here on day 2 to avoid having to drive out - wish we had. It was $90 for absolute garbage! Nothing can compare to how bad the meals were. I would 10x prefer an Egg McMuffin from Mcdonalds over this place. The chilaquiles were a soggy watery mess. The cinnamon roll and french toast tasted 2 days old and straight cardboard. For breakfast buffet three stars is the most we can give which is good given the location. Because even though the food is nothing to rave about, it's convenient and we got there on a Friday morning at 8am and there were plenty of seats and no lines to wait for food. Service was fast and food selection was ok. There were no omelet station sadly and there were no waffles which is one of their specialty (but they had pancakes and French toasts). The seating is typical fast casual hard seats and the location was right next to the water park entrance. Top tip is to get the discount breakfast voucher when booking the room, which for 2 adults and 1 child is $51 (April 2024), savings of about $19 versus walk-in. If you don't get the voucher I think going to Dunkin's or driving out to McDonald's is a better deal. We stuffed ourselves pretty full (plenty of traditional bf fares, oatmeal, fruits, pastries, etc.) and I didn't feel hungry until after 4pm. So $51 for essentially 2 meals per person is decent in my book. read more

I guess it's what you'd probably expect--definitely there were no surprises in the positive direction. So, adults are $28.99 and kids 4-14 are $14.99. I wasn't going to post until I noticed a two-year old review has very old pricing. Pricing for the breakfast buffet is: Adult: $28.99 Child: $14.99 Now, if you think you are getting a $30 breakfast, my oh my, you are sorely wrong. It's not that the food is as horrible as some people are suggesting, it's just below par. This would actually be fine if it was $10/person, but to pay $60 for one adult and two children is highway robbery. We should have left the hotel and gone to a breakfast joint, but this is Manteca. There are not a lot of choices. If we ever go back to Great Wolf Lodge, unless we get some type of free breakfast deal, we will just get some donuts and coffee at the Dunkin Donuts located in the hotel. There are refrigerators in the room. I might also suggest you just bring some milk and a couple boxes of cereal and save yourself even more money if you're on a budget. Oh, one last oddity. We purchased breakfast for two for two days when we booked our room at Great Wolf Lodge, $59.00. We presented our certificates to the young woman working the cash register. She keyed something into the machine and handed me a ticket that required that I write my room number, last name, and signature. In my opinion this should have been unnecessary. We were both wearing our resort bands. All she should have needed to do was to scan the bands to know who we were, what room we were staying in, and that we purchased the breakfasts. The breakfast itself was on par with what you get as a complimentary breakfast at many hotels. The pastries were the usual mass produced hotel pastries. Bagels and breads seemed fresh. Scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. Sausages were barely warm. Frittata was cold. Biscuit and gravy did not appeal to me. Summary: the breakfast was OPUG (Over-Priced, Under-Good). read more
