Went for a walk in piercing and it was my first time every getting something other than my ears pierced(I got a smiley) and I was very nervous yet right off the bat everything felt very rushed. I explained my nervousness and instead of reassurance I received silence and honestly awkwardness. Inside the decor was very on theme and I noticed that they had a few other customers that they were helping so I made and understanding that maybe it was a busy day. Even my piercing process was very quick. It cost $45, and that is without aftercare. I know that you could definitely find cheaper places but I only want because it was convenient overall I recommend for aesthetic purposes and also if you want to support black or brown businesses, but if you have better sources Than that is definitely an option!
Horrible experience, again !!! i came with the piercer ROSA and this is my second time i asked to not be pierced with the same needle for two separate piercings and still did it while i wasn't looking. she first did my bridge piercing and did it very slanted and asked to fix it and she did and it came out great. After she pierced my vertical labret but with the same needle! i only have 3 days with it and its very irritated and burning! almost like its infected. i do not recommend this place at all. worst of all you sign a form agreeing that theres no refunds just for them to screw you over
I recently had to remove my piercing because my NY piercer said my piercing was done incorrectly. My nose piercing wouldn't heal and I had irritation bumps on the top and bottom that just wouldn't go away despite cleaning and doing sea salt soaks. This was going on for 3 months, y'all! I'm highly disappointed that the reason why it wasn't healing because it was pierced slanted and it could have been pierced in a different location based on the anatomy of nose. I highly do not recommend based on the negligence that was done by the piercer.
got my septum today n i came home and seen that it's pierced crooked.. this was done from rosa. i gotten my vertical labret done 3 months ago at a DIFF brown pride shop and they also fucked it up! it's not centered at all. in 2023 i gotten my dimples done at their 3rd location n same thing. i thought by going to their different shops they wouldn't mess me up but i was wrong.
My Cousin came from the Bay Area to have nice experience in LA. This "business" is so unprofessional! First my cousin was trying to pay they told her that the machine did not work? Like why they did not tell her first before she inserted her card which was shady to me. Then when my prima was trying to withdraw money in ATM machine this Young clerk has the Audacity to imply she do not have money in her card. She also kept on rushing her to pay. In my opinion what do you Care if she got money or not like stfu. Rude af. I stood calm said nothing. Main reason: they f&(k up on a belly piercing! This piercing was SLANTED and She literally had to pull up her belly for them see the bottom Circle piece. Clearly they don't know how to work with plus size people. We called before going and made me drive an hour. They maid it seem like they were going to refund her money. We arrived and explained our concerns. They made us wait still not telling us how they can fix the situation. They removed her belly piercing and taught they fixed the problem. I had to raise my tone since they didn't want to refund her money and they finally offer store credit (other piercing or store Jewelry ) which at this point she don't want any piercing by them. FYI THEY TOOK OFF HER PIERCING Jewelry AND SAVE THAT USED PIERCING IN DRAWER. (Mind you she pay extra on Jewelry design since it was titanium metal). They never refunded her 10 dollars for that piercing. My prima (cousin) Felt very weird and made her question herself because the piercer had to bring more employees to back her up that the piercing was placed right, they keep doubting me in a way that they made me believe that I was being dramatic about it. As soon as I keep telling them that it was crooked and they were just saying that it was swollen. The piercer named rosa keep getting really defensive about.
I went November 11 to get the left side of my lip pierced (as I already have had my right side done) and my piercer completely fucked my piercing up. first of all, she stabbed me twice, and I know that because I had two holes in my face and bc she just kept readjusting the needle like why are you sewing my face.... and second of all she was tugging on my lip while the needle was in I felt like a goddamn fish on a hook. the girl didnt know what she is doing clearly. honestly she seemed totally nervous i knew i shouldnt have let her dumb ahh pierce me. i HAVE been to a different brown pride location and honestly it was great super quick process, man I've even been to the swap meet and had a better piercing. she even tried to decline me a refund insane! bru i had to literally argue for a refund as if she didnt mutilate my skin. but no wayyy i was leaving without it. 11 days later i DO have scaring!!! nothing ive tried has healed what she pierced. and she reallllyyyyy tried to tell me to get re-pierced by her in a week. like u gmfu. thanks for messing up my face!!
PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE just because the hype from Instagram & TikTok! When you first show up you are welcomed by whom ever is "chilling " by the door. Usually it's a few people in a group, not sure if they are all employees, but for the most part they are helpful, not here to complain about them. Upon entering you wait your turn, I was called next and got a navel piercing. I didn't get the name of the women who did it, BUT let me tell you, she was definitely NOT experienced. When she pierced my navel she used SO much force that she tugged my skin! Right after I immediately was told to exit. As I walked away my freshly pierced belly button started BLEEDING! I Had to ask the guys in the front to let me enter back to wipe the blood of me! I had to go to the bathroom which doesn't have a light so I had to use my phone light to see where all the blood went , at the point I was in regret!! Let me fast forward to a month. Really wanting this piercing, hoping it was just swollen from being fresh. Let me tell you I couldn't even Extend my body, she grabbed TOO much skin, whenever I wanted to stretch it would feel like I'm ripping my belly button. I was in pain for that whole month!! I decided to Finally take it out. Went back, to complain, I had about 3-4 people working there look at it and all agreed yes it was done wrong. I didn't get a refund I got a voucher, or a free piercing. I declined to getting it done there again. When the piercing was taken out, the lady tried convincing me to get another one ? Yea right!! hahah NEVER would I ever go there again! This story gets worse! My friend came with me to get it taken out. The piercer THAT day ( a different women) was aware of what happen to me! She assured my friend she was more experienced. Guess what, 2 weeks later my friend went to take out all her 3 fresh piercings. The navel was done wrong, just like mine, her nipple rings were infected so bad that any longer the piercer told her , her nipples could fall off!!!??? Excuse me??!!! Never again! This was MY experience with the 2 female piercers there. Now I have a scar to remind me not to get an impulsive piercing, do your research! I should of waited for actual reputable shops to open up again.
I got a sternum tattoo by Namz and it was amazing! The place itself is really vibey and clean. The customer service here is amazing and I loved how someone immediately approached me and led me to the waiting area. The tattoo turned out exactly how I wanted it to be and super glad how the whole process was sanitary and clean. Everyone kept their masks on, and placed disposable blankets on the chair before the customer laid on it. I found my new favorite tattoo place (it's only 8-9min drive away from USC) and the price was one of the best around here. Definitely check them out! Not gonna lie, wish I'd found them sooner. Also Namz was really kind and professional. He printed out few sizes of the tattoo design I wanted so I can choose which one looks better. Couldn't recommend him more!

Unfortunately, my industrial wasn't healing properly so I went to Nathan's Tattoos and Piercings and Nathan helped me out significantly. He informed me that the lady who pierced me pierced me with cheap jewelry and that my industrial isn't even pierced at the right angle. I was also informed that the bar was too long and the balls were to heavy making my ear to look like the piercing was being forced. I tried to contact Brown Pride Tattoo about my piercing but they never reached back and I feel it's because they didn't want to deal with my situation . Now I have to wait a few months for the front of my industrial to heal before I can get it pierced again, the right way. I included a picture of my industrial before Nathan fixed it:

I came to this shop to get a simple tattoo with my girl on the 25th. Two different artists did our tattoos, some girl did hers and some guy did mine. It's the same word, font, and size. My girls tattoo is peeling and looks normal, but my tattoo peeled and is left with barely any ink. The tattoo is so faded it looks like I've had it for years when I haven't even had it for 2 weeks. It'z crazy too cus the shop says for any type of touch ups it's $100 minimum. I understand long term touch ups, but for something I haven't had for 2 weeks to look like this is sad. read more

I came here to get two tattoos and I was helped right away as a walk-in. I didn't really need sketching because I already had a stencil. I got the playboy bunny for $60 and the Lisa outline for $70. Both of them done on the same day and it was in less than an hour. The pain was tolerable and the total was $132 with a $2 fee for using debit card. Keep in mind they only accept cash or debit card. I would come back again if I want another one. I was super skeptical about the mixed reviews but I'm guessing most of the bad reviews came from the piercing services. read more

UPDATE: 10/25/2020 unfortunately these have started to reject. I've only had them for two months. I was told that the person who pierced them (which I had them done at brown pride below is my original post) has to be inexperienced and put in the wrong kind of jewelry when they pierced me. So now I had to go to a more creditable shop sometime this week and see what they can do or if the piercings can be salvaged which means paying more money and possible scarring . So sad because I was so wanting to keep rooting for brown pride. Original post 8/29/2020 This place is amazing! Today I went in and they got me in and out fast! I came to get my first tongue piercing here Rosie is the best! She made me feel so comfortable by talking me through it. I loved her so much I came back and got the Madonna lip piercing. Done by her, I'm also going to get my lower lip pierced as well and it will definitely be with Rosie!!!! read more

I honestly believe if you want to get a tattoo I would recommend Long Legs as your tattoo artist. I already have two tattoos so far and both times he was my artist. My very first tattoo was a 6 hour anime tattoo (Munechika Mikazuki) and I was afraid It was going to hurt but he was very gentle and didn't make it painful for me at all. He's very understanding and takes his time to design the tattoo your way plus he's very nice and makes sure you are comfortable through the process. Also the healing process wasn't bad he was very responsible in explaining the healing process and told me what types of creams or products I could use for the healing. In the end both tattoos came out great I am very much satisfied with it and I am proud to show it off. All in all I recommend him and I hope to work with him more in the future read more

Got my first tattoo here and the artist wrote the words too small so overtime it became illegible. I went back to get it covered up by another artist. Before starting the tattoo I noticed him outside smoking a blunt then came in and got started. I hate the cover up, it was very poorly done. In the process of laser removal currently. read more

I got my belly pierced here and they did a good job. I think the piercing was originally $10 or $15 but I selected the titanium jewelry so I paid more, around $23. It was very quick and didn't hurt. The piercer marked the area and made sure I liked my placement before she pierced it. read more
