Their listings mention carrying Citizen watches, so I hoped to browse in person and potentially make a purchase. I arrived around 10:40-10:45 AM, saw the doors wide open, and assumed they were open early (official hours start at 11 AM). I stepped inside politely and asked the gentleman behind the counter if they were open. He responded with a curt "yes," immediately followed by an abrupt and rude "What do you want?" I was surprised and confused I've never been greeted that way when entering a store intending to browse and spend money. His tone, stare, and overall demeanor felt dismissive and unwelcoming from the very first moment. I explained I just wanted to look around for watches, but he remained short and unfriendly throughout. I even pointed out directly that his behavior felt rude, hoping it might change the interaction, but there was no apology, no softening, and no effort to engage. I left without browsing further. There's a basic level of professionalism one expects from a jewelry store especially one dealing in higher-value items like watches where a welcoming, respectful attitude encourages customers to stay and spend. I rarely leave poor reviews (this is one of very few I've ever written), and I understand people can have off days, but this experience was so consistently off-putting that it stood out. A different approach starting with basic courtesy would make a huge difference. I understand security concerns in California, but treating potential customers with respect shouldn't be optional. This left me disappointed, and I won't be returning. Attaching photos of the gentleman and the store for context.
