First I must say the food here is 5 stars. The service is terrible. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees and then the clown show began. We waited and waited for our appetizer and it never came. They delivered half of one entree first. Then we had to ask about the appetizer and they were able to rush to get it. Meanwhile we are sitting with one of our entrees. The meal was a total debacle. We finally got our second entree BEFORE our appetizer arrived. Now that we had our food we were not given any plates or silverware. I had to get up and find an employee to get plates and silverware. We were never even offered a refill on our water. We had to flag down one of the only two waitresses to get refills. The problem was the owner's fault. This was St Patrick's day. The food was good but unfortunately the service Is horrible, each time they just don't get things right you don't get what you order, things take forever, drinks are extremely sweet, the hostess is rude and again I AM a Brazilian so don't waste your money here not worth the aggravation! ohh and there's a $5 surcharge for "entertainment" and they include 18% service charge that's why they don't care about a good hospitality. Did not get the Brazilian entertaining night we were promised and paid a cover charge for. On Friday, April 9th, I was tasked by some friends to find a fun location to dine. Being that our friends live in Boynton Beach and us in Ft. Lauderdale, we figured Deerfield Beach would be a good meeting spot. After doing some research I found Barracuda Seafood Restaurant. I looked through the reviews and there were some positive and negative. So, I decided to give it a try. And that turned out to be a bit of a mistake. The one thing that really turned us off was the music. Upon arriving, we were told by the hostess that it was Brazilian night and it would be a lot of fun. Having been to Brazil many times, I was excited to hear the music that would take us back to when we had visited years ago. After being told there was a $5 per person cover fee, I paid the $20 for the 4 of us and prepare for the awesome night we were promised. First, we were seated literally right next to the speaker.Super Super load. We were literally yelling to decide what we wanted to drink and eat. And when the singer started playing, we were disappointed to find that it was a regular American singer playing American cover songs. Even through we were a little frustrated, we decided to order drinks and appetizers. And that too became a bit of a challenge. The QR code on the tables linked us to their website where they had the menu. Unfortunately the menu was not mobile friendly and was very difficult to read. We were also hoping the singer would take a break so we can hear ourselves talk about what we wanted to eat. Unfortunately that did not happen. We ordered 2 Coconut/ lemon and 2 Passionfruit Caipirinhas. Although they were super delicious, my wife had a few sips and did not like the Passionfruit and asked If we can change it. The waiter came and I explained that she did not like that one and if we could change it for another coconut one. He looked at me and with a smirk said no, you'll have to pay for this one as you told me you have had it before and liked it. That was never the case, It was our first time there and I have never had a flavored Caipirinha. And I was drinking the Coconut one which was very good. After explaining this to him, he response with a very sarcastic tone and said; sorry, you're still going to have to pay for the original passionfruit one. We decided to get our check and move on to another place. After asking for out check he all of sudden cared and wanted to make sure we were happy. Unfortunately the damage was done. Again, going back to the beginning, we were tricked into paying an additional $20 for what we thought was going to be a great dining experience with Brazilian entertainment. Why not be upfront with what people are going to expect. My only thought is that this is a very local restaurant and the ones that come often know what to expect. Came here to watch the World Cup final with some friends. We got there early so we had great seats. Service was pretty good given they were packed with screaming soccer fans. The food was OK. I ordered the picanha and eggs - nothing special; picancha was small & bland. It was cooked to my liking, about the only thing I can admit to enjoying; food-wise, that is. I give it 4 stars because of the service and the atmosphere. Otherwise, 2.5 maybe 3. OH. And the coxinha is quite delicious. It meets all the qualities for a delicious coxinha: crisp, light, and a perfect chicken to cream cheese ratio. read more

We went Saturday night (8/20) at 8:30pm to eat dinner as we had not been here since they moved. We live in the neighborhood and used to like the food and service when they were in their original location, so we thought we'd have a local dinner and give them a shot - we were looking forward to it. I hadn't even looked at the reviews here until just now and 2.5 stars makes sense, maybe a bit too generous. Most complaints were about the service and those complaints have been going on and on (read the reviews) for a while. The two people at the front door were just rude too. Seems as though the owners just don't care. They were charging a $5 cover charge...at 8:30pm....for dinner patrons. I've never heard of this or encountered this...in Deerfield Beach...for dinner. So we went to another place close by instead and they had live music, but didn't charge a cover. We were told it was for the live music. So?? I didn't come for the music, I came for the food and you should be paying your entertainment. Too bad for Barracuda because they lost an easy $100 + hit (and possible repeat visits) for dinner/drinks because they nickel and dime. No thanks. read more

Save yourself a big disappointment!!! I went to Barracuda to try their feijoada dish and it was the worse service and food I have had for a long time. Service took forever, food took forever, my wife ordered a strawberry caipirosca , they brought a lime caipirinha. I ordered feijoada, the feijoada was just water, there were no beans, the pork pieces were so hard and cold, it was clear that it was not a fresh feijoada. I hate cold food, it was disgusting. Rice had no taste at all. When I ask for the bill it had already a 18% included, which i would have given it 0% for the experience. When I told them about it the manager instead of doing the right thing just said, i am sorry maybe next time it will be better. Too bad yelp review doesn't allow zero stars read more

The three star rating is very accurate. When we tried to order, they were out of half the items we wanted. For our appetizer we got the fried chicken. We also settled on the steak medium rare, which came out at temperature and with yuca, salsa, rice, beans and chimichurri (oregano based not cilantro based). The yuca was nice and crisp. We also got the last snapper. A few things that weren't great included that they were out of a lot of things and we had to keep reminding them to bring us water. Most of all, all of the food could have used a little something extra. The yuca needed a sauce. The snapper needed some citrus squeezed over it. The chicken could have used a sauce or citrus. Lastly the wait staff dropped greasy fish on me when clearing the table and stained my silk shirt I was wearing. We also had to sit outside because it was too loud outside and then our table was extremely wobbly. Overall experience definitely left something to be desired. read more

I had to wait 10 minutes before my wife informed the server that I didn't have a drink and the I had to wait another 20 minutes to get a draft beer. Secondly, I didn't like how they made us close one tab and start another tab when the server changed. It was very unsettling to me. If you don't speak Portuguese you will be ignored at this lace. The music was very loud and it seems to me to be more of a party atmosphere then a restaurant with a bar. My advice is to avoid this place and go somewhere where the service is better. One of the appetizers the beef picana and it was good, the other one was a fried chicken. Lamentably the chicken was raw inside and we did not eat it. When the server came to get the dishes I said "hey the chicken is raw, we did not eat it could you please return it to the kitchen and bring a cocked one?" So he went back and never returned. Time passes, he disappeared and we ordered the check. He came and I asked him what happened to that raw chicken and he said "you have talk to them (referring to kitchen staff)." Well, that was not the kind of answer I was expecting and that's why I decided to do this review. Raw chicken + bad service = I don't recommend.
