We came for dinner on a Friday. We were happy they could accommodate the six of us since they were busy. We caught Happy Hour just in time (6:30 pm). We had the veggie gyozas for appetizers. I had the sashimi salad roll (no rice) and hamachi kama for my meal. Everything was good. The restaurant is casual and cozy. The staff and bartender were fun and friendly.

Hidden gem in downtown Burlingame! The food was delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. I chose their dinner combo with soup, salad, California rolls, Saba, and ribeye steak -- everything was flavorful and nicely prepared. I also loved the variety of selections on the menu. Rick gave wonderful service and was very attentive to both me and my dog while we enjoyed the nice weather outside. Will definitely be back.

This is under new ownership under Ken Wang. He has done an exceptional job and taking over and adding his own touch to it. The sushi is fresh and the service is on par like his other ramen restaurant, Hanabi which is just down the street. They had a live band today from Aragon High school which was a festive event for this kick off lunch. Great job Ken!

Stopped in for a light lunch before a Dr's Appt nearby. It was a "treat yo'self lunch" for me so I decided to order a few of my favorites. I ordered the butterfish sashimi, which they call the Escolapacho. I love butterfish or escolar, whatever you want to call it - it's so creamy and delicious but can be bland without flavor. They key with good butterfish dishes is the sauce that goes along with it. This one has garlic puree, spicy ponzu, fried garlic and shallots. I also ordered a spicy tuna roll, which was delicious - but not as divine as the Escolapacho. This was a great place to stop for lunch and really quick.

Lunch bento 7 days a week, which is rare. Upcharge for like everything that isn't gyoza or something generic, LOL. Bento box with Saba and upcharge spicy tuna roll. Just average tasting, nothing special. Only one waiter so be patient, he's doing his best y'all.

Came here a couple of weeks ago. We used to go to Barracuda when it was in Serramonte but they closed. We've been wanting to try this place for a while so finally had the chance. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant ambience didn't feel like a Japanese restaurant-felt like a Mediterranean place. Very dark decor and dingy. The food was disappointing and we had such high expectations of this place. We had edamame (not complimentary), chicken katsu, short ribs, spicy tuna roll, the best of the best roll which was not the best. In fact the texture was too mushy, no crunch or freshness to it, so I couldn't finish it. Everything else was ok and over priced! Not sure if we will be back.

    Patio

Love the new look! Warm and inviting with added touches and patio dining and landscaping and plant arrangements. As always the food is amazing.

Barracuda is off the main buzz of Burlingame Avenue so I enjoy that part of it. Outdoor dining is available. We went at lunchtime on a rainy day and ate inside. Service gets a thumbs up! As does the Tuna Tataki that I ordered and the bento box with shrimp tempura & a California roll that came with salad, rice and miso soup. The interior could be updated, especially the upholstery of the seating area inside...but at night, I'm sure the fireplace creates an ambience that is delightful and romantic. Go try out barracuda and see what you think!

Incredibly delicious, Anytime I travel to Burlingame, I go to Barracuda. Just make sure you ask for their hot tea as well. Bo Appetite

We were…read morelooking for a place for dinner, heard rowdily happy noises from what looks like a parking lot, and found a Greek restaurant with large family groups inside and tables outside under an extension with floral decor. The place is quite pretty. We opted for a small table outside , which is much quieter. Our waiter was a bit stiff around the collar. I suspect he is an old timer, and clearly, we are not regulars. Regardless, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. The Food: Zucchini Cake, $15 - 4.5 Stars Menu: crispy zucchini cakes with cucumber & mint-yogurt dressing These cakes are ball shaped, deep fried, and made a healthy veggie taste naughty type of good. Very yummy. Lol Tzatziki, $9 - 5 Stars Refreshing and delicious, the tzatziki is an excellent complement to the meal. Octopus, $19 - 5 Stars I really need to stop eating octopus, but when I am in a Greek or Spanish restaurant, I am weak. Grilled octopus legs are soooo good. Their version is grilled just right, not too much char, plus they smartly removed the hardened tips (common) before serving. See photo. Lamb Shank, $34 - 5 Stars Menu: aromatic braised lamb shank with orzo & myzithra cheese The lamb meat is tender and falls off the bone. It is cooked just right. Mykonos Souvlaki, $31 - 5 Stars Menu: herbs marinated tenderloin, shallot & rosemary skewers I enjoy a tasty protein and produce meal, and this dish is perfection with tender pieces of tenderloin over a pile of veggies. It is everything I want.

Entrees did take a little while longer to be served but I don't blame the workers for the crowd. Service was attentive (server, food runners, & bussers). My drink: Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon red wine - rich, full bodied, mildly sweet with a smooth, long finish. Complimented my entree very well (lamb shank). No clash in taste going from eating to drinking. Appetizers: Calamari: Not a huge fan of calamari personally but it was okay. Crispy and chewy squid inside as expected. Greek fries: Typical fries. Crispy and garnished with 2 sauces. One has a mild spice. Nothing super special but it was good as a choice of "sides" from the menu that turned into an appetizer. Had some leftover for my entree that paired well with it actually. Zucchini cakes: crispy shell on the outside but a mushy, hashbrown-like inside of a flavorful mix of vegetables. Really enjoyed this one. Would recommend it. Entrees: Mine: Lamb Shank: soft, tender, the meat melts right off the bone. The sauce is amazing. Tasteful down to the garnish. There was one end that was super fatty and slimy and then different side of the same end that was really chewy like bubblegum but other than that, still my favorite dish from everyone else's. Glad I chose this. Fisherman's Pasta : the presentation is immaculate, very proportional ratio of seafood to the pasta. l like the variety but honestly, this dish is bland. Good thing I got the lamb shank! Arnisia Paidakia (Lamb Chops): Didn't eat but the person who ate it said it tastes good but kind of dry. What he enjoyed about it was that the rice was made of wheat & savory as well. Lobster Risotto - wasn't my personal order but I got to try a bite. Had some flavor and and enough meat from the tail to eat with the savory rice. Free birthday Baklava desert: Never had it before but I got a bite and liked it. Ended up giving the rest to everyone else. This place is good for its variety of choices so I may come back for the good food and atmosphere.

Rasoi is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area!…read more We ordered the Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic basil naan, basmati rice, an IPA, and their complimentary ice cream for dessert. Let me just say... wow! The Chicken Tandoori was one of the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. This was actually my first time trying Chicken Tikka Masala, and I completely understand why it's such a popular dish. It was rich, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. Paired with the garlic basil naan, every bite was absolutely delicious. I'm Middle Eastern Americam Afghan, and our cuisine is known for using a lot of herbs, spices, and bold flavors. Because of that, I'm very picky and skeptical when trying new restaurants. Rasoi exceeded every expectation I had. Every dish was seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the manager, Axel. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. He has outstanding customer service, an incredible personality, and so much passion for both the food and the restaurant. To the owners: you truly found a gem. It's hard to find someone who treats a restaurant like it's their own, and Axel definitely does. I'd also like to recognize our wonderful server. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was working behind the bar making drinks while also taking care of our table. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and such a sweetheart. The entire staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The IPA was fantastic ice cold, crisp, and incredibly refreshing, especially on such a hot day. It paired beautifully with the food. To top everything off, they surprised us with complimentary ice cream, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. It instantly reminded me of Afghan Qaimaq Chai. It was creamy, refreshing, and the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. I'm already looking forward to coming back with my family. Next time, I can't wait to try their biryani! Thank you, Rasoi, for a great dining experience. You've definitely earned a loyal customer, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine paired with exceptional customer service.

I wouldn't say Michelin-worthy but worth a visit for elevated presentation of classic Indian dishes with a modern or fusion twist. However, the menu felt much more limited than I remembered from several years ago, when it seemed more interesting and expansive. My friend and I shared the Chutney Prawns for $18 and the White Elephant Dosa for $26, along with one cocktail and one mocktail. Unfortunately, I was not especially impressed by the food. The prawns felt underwhelming for the price, and my mocktail was not particularly memorable. The dosa was visually impressive at two feet long, but it is ultimately still a very thin dosa and very crispy, and I found the seasoning somewhat overwhelming. The gunpowder and spices overpowered the dish for me, although the sauces and potato masala were flavorful. Our total came to approximately $90, and for that price, I expected a more satisfying overall experience. Service was also inconsistent. It was slow initially, and while our server was cordial and kind once he assisted us, he did not return to check on us after taking our order. We ultimately relied on the bartender for items such as an extra spoon and the check. The ambiance is beautiful, but between the limited menu, high prices, uneven food, and inattentive service, I do not feel the experience justified the cost. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return. For Michelin rated I expected more.
