Furagu Sushi is a solid neighborhood sushi spot on 25th Ave amongst the many restaurants on this street. Came here on a weekday night for dinner for a party of 8 and getting a table was not an issue. Fish is fresh, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. We got a variety of sushi rolls like spider roll, caterpillar roll and rainbow roll. The service is quick and friendly. The husband and wife team are very nice. There's also big screen tv's on which was showing NBA games when we went. It's not fancy but it is reliable, clean and satisfying when you're craving sushi.

Small family owned restaurant frequented by many locals due to their hospitality and overall family oriented atmosphere. Their young daughter happily greets customers as they enter thru the door. Service is ultra friendly and food is good although I'd recommend that they wrap their sushi a little tighter (Ca Roll base used for many Roll Options, wrap it tighter so that it doesn't fall apart). Sashimi also fresh. We liked the three rolls that we ordered. We also ordered cooked food of: - Agedashi Tofu - consisting of large chunks of fried lightly battered tofu, bonito flakes and sweet soy. - Two Item Combo of Medium Rare Teriyaki Grilled Beef with sauce on the side, Chicken Katsu which was light and addictively crispy. I'd go back for this combo which also includes 4 pieces of California Roll, and Salad with Miso dressing. Overall, a good place to stop off for a quick meal if you get stuck on Highway 92 or 101 traffic. Also the family oriented hospitality is a big plus, the little girl greeter is so cute!

This is a review I should have written far too long ago. This is our favorite Japanese Restaurant in the Peninsula. We always come here when we crave for Japanese food. love the Food, the portions but Most especially, the service. We recently made a reservation for 24 people and with different orders, they were able to deliver. We were impressed !!! Just writing this review makes me crave for more.

    Sashimi Tempura Bento Box

Pretty good bang for your buck here! I ordered the sashimi tempura combo and it was definitely really filling. Thiccccc slices of sashimi- tuna and salmon that tasted fresh. A wide assortment of vegetable tempura and one shrimp! The bento came with rice and a side salad which was good!

Unfortunately the sushi was not good. The fish was fresh but not the freshest I've had, tasted thawed. The rolls lacked flavor, the "eel" sauce on top of our sushi was also way too salty and made the sushi inedible. I ended eating more ginger than actual sushi. The customer service was great but I would not come back.

Took wrong order. The oil used for tempura was old. Very unpleasant service. Will not return.

Furagu Sushi was pretty good. The prices are great and the food is fresh. The service was attentive. Ambience may not look much and definitely not fine dining. Good parking outside on the streets. Sushi rolls were good. Bento box was good but smaller than other places. Overall decent meal and pricing here for lunch.

I love their chirashi bowl! Fresh fish and good portion! Will definitely order it again!

We went to Fugaru for a late dinner because a nearby sushi restaurant was too busy to seat us. We ordered a bento #2 and boat #1. I liked the mackerel, it was nicely grilled, juicy, and a good amount. Everything else was just good or OK but I need to bring home the rest of the tonkatsu and chicken teriyaki. The texture of the tempura and the taste of the California roll were a little bit off. Clean, quiet restaurant. Nice servers.

    Delicious food.

Great service and delicious food is great, affordable price makes it excellent. This is a gem that our family enjoyed and will return.

Perfectly average sushi spot. This place has wonderful service and a big menu with all your Japanese favorites. The food quality is just okay - there are a big variety of special rolls on the menu and they were pretty tasty, but the quality of the fish was pretty mediocre. The dinner boat was super fun as well, but the tempura was quite heavy and the chicken was lower quality and cut pretty thin. Overall, I will go elsewhere for my Japanese food fix, but appreciate the great service!

From top to bottom - Lion King, Dragon, Furagu - hard pass on all.

Used to do DoorDash all the time -- now it says they're closed and I can't find any delivery option that shows they're open. Any idea what's up (their yelp page shows open)-- it's been like this the last few weeks?

Hi dear, sorry for the inconvenience. We were on vacation for the whole April. But now we're back open at regular business hours. We're not yelp's partner, so we can't choose to close the business here otherwise google will mark us as permenantly…

Does anybody know if they still do Happy Hour for their sushi?

They do. Monday through Thursday. 5:30-6:30. Plus happy hours on sake and beer 15%!

    AYCE Sushi here?

No, you order the sushi rolls individually.

I ordered their #1 recommendation, the Homura Aburasoba, and immediately scarfed it down. Popping the perfectly runny egg yolk into the noodles was incredibly satisfying, and every bite was packed with rich, savory umami. The noodles themselves were thick, chewy, and had a great bite that held up well to the sauce. I also tried the Wagyu dish, but it arrived more cooked than it appeared in the photos, which made the texture and overall experience a bit underwhelming. The sauce also leaned on the creamier side, which isn't my favorite pairing with Wagyu, so I'd probably skip that one next time. That said, the Homura Aburasoba alone is worth coming back for and easily earns Kajiken a well-deserved 5/5.
