My wife and I visit their booth when they are setup at the Northridge Farmers market. They are usually here every Wednesday. My wife really likes their yogurt here so that's what she would get here. The have different sizes and their prices are reasonable. The staff are also very nice. If you want to pay for your yogurt early before they ran out and go explore around the farmers market then they'll put it in a cooler to keep it cold for you. That's what my wife did so we just went to pick it up before we left. She really likes their peach yogurt from here. read more

Heard about this place from Instagram, decided to give it a try since it's been a hot week. Tasty but misleading. Their "honey" is nothing more than corn syrup ruining the flavor of their yogurt. Not to mention not justifying the price of something that's not as advertised. Service was quick but couldn't answer basic questions as in if they make the yogurt themselves or it's store bought. Not to mention their product is kept semi cold. Still not as cold as it should be for being a dairy product so be ware if you feel a bit uneasy in the gut after. Lorena was exceptional! She was courteous, attentive and patient. She fixed up two raspados like I've never seen. Perfect amount of ice and enough vanilla and coconut syrup to enjoy all of it! She also gave me a taste of their coconut/pineapple yogurt as well as the nuez flavor, wow!!! People call in orders for those yogurts and brag about them, yes, they have good reason. My friends literally moved across the street from this location and every time I visited them I wanted to try some items from this place. I finally got a chance to go last time I went to see my friends and was not disappointed I got the Chamango instead of the Mangonada since they advised that Mangonada was more like a raspado and they used mango ice cream with chamoy and sliced mangos in the Chamango. Dear Barrancos Fruit, we have been customers for a long time now and I'm very disappointed in the quality of the drinks being served. Its just not the same there. The staff as always is still very nice, but the spike in prices such as removing the 5×20 yogurts and the lack of flavoring in the raspados is unjustified. I didn't read the reviews before I went but I read them now and I can definitely say the employees wear masks (unlike previously stated by a previous Yelper). I'm glad they do since masks are literally like your new wallet or phone, you can't forget them! Parking is a little pain since the parking lot is small. However, there is also street parking available. The inside is small but they have tape markers to ensure customers are distanced from each other. You can call ahead to order (I would recommend to do this as it is a quick in and out). There are also 2 special deals I forgot what is included in each one but it's 20$ for each deal but each deal came with plenty of items. I loved their fresa raspado! You can tell they use real fruit for the flavoring instead of syrups that you can buy at Smart & Final. Their corn was not my favorite. It wasn't soft :( but it did have good flavor. I just left the famous Mercadito location in Boyle Heights. The Mercado gets very busy but don't let that fool you. The service at Barranco's Fruit moves quick and they are ready to help serve you. I tried the Coco and Pina yogurt with Pecans, granola and honey. Let me tell you it's so so good. The large was $8 and small was $6. Seems a bit pricey but to me I love it so it's worth my money. Tried this stand at the farmers market at Harbor UCLA when there for work. They are there every Wednesday. I usually don't get too hungry for breakfast, but on this day I definitely was. I decided to stop by and just see what they had available. The guy at the stand was very friendly and explained what was in everything, and even let me sample all the flavors. I ended up deciding on the mango yogurt with wheat berries and some toppings (I decided on just pecans and honey). I got the small size for 6 bucks which was still a very substantial size. I ended up eating the whole thing pretty fast, it was so delicious! I really liked how it wasn't too sweetened, the mango pieces were all so ripe and sweet, and the wheat berries inside were also a nice addition. If you love yogurt and fruit, definitely give this a try, you will not be disappointed! read more

I went to the Barranco's Fruit located at 625 Glendora Ave, La Puente, CA 91744. Everything is delicious, fresh and deserve five stars. The only thing I did not like is the lack of air conditioning. The place was hot and they had a big portable fan on one of the counters, blowing strong air at customer's faces; it was not safe. Yogurt isn't my thing just because of the flavor but ive never had some like Barrancos and let me tell you its soooooooo good! very filling, full of protein, natural flavor and its a decent size for $5. Uniquely delicious. The only way I can describe their famous yogurt con trigo. No where else can this be duplicated! It's extremely addicting! I eat the pina con Coco almost every morning!! Add some granola and honey and I got breakfast! Also doesnt affect my stomach in any way, I'm usually reactive to dairy but not with their yogurts! I've also tried their Coconut raspado and it was so refreshing and light! They add actual coconut shavings and it tastes so amazing. I've been following them since they started at the la puente live markets every Friday night in old Town. So thrilled they opened up shop right there in la puente!! my family also lives in LA and always picks up yogurt for themselves during the week in their other spot, El Marcadito!
