Hubby and I had dinner here the other night and both of us enjoyed it quite a lot. We both shared a pizza and it was fantastic. Extremely thin crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. Cheese plate was also great, although it would have been nice if the cheeses had been identified to us when the plate was delivered. No one said anything so we just guessed and enjoyed them as mysteries. The plate came with an actual sufficient amount of toasts!! No one else does that!! We were able to eat every bit of cheese with some toast! And the other delicious things were good compliments. Also overall generous amount of food on the cheese plate. VERY happy with this! Our pastas had good flavor, though mine was a little more al dente than I would like. The most al dente I've ever been served in a restaurant. It made the texture seem a little odd to my American palate. Dessert was great too - we tried the apple tart and the chocolate lava cake. The lava cake was as you'd expect. You can get this in a variety of restaurants. The apple tart was the dessert to come back for. It was extremely rich in flavor, with fresh, lightly tart apples. The restaurant is small and cozy. Very warm and inviting feel to it. The only real downside to our meal was the slow pacing. There were several times when we wanted assistance (wanted to order dessert, wanted our check to pay) and we had to flag down help. Just sitting and twiddling our thumbs at the table wasn't enough to catch the proprietor's attention. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with our visit and plan to return soon! read more

We picked Barrel 33 and the rest is history. I made a reservation through the Yelp app, and Parfait was quick to respond to the request. Everything about our dining experience was top notch. We started off with a charcuterie board and wine flight. I am not fluent in French wines, so I told the server what types of wine I like and he was very helpful in helping me make my selections. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE. My partner and I came in pretty late on a Sunday evening around 8:20, and were greeted by Parfait with utmost warmth. We were seated right next to the little fountain in the outdoor patio and it was getting dark so it was perfect. Only a few other guests were in and drinking wine, definitely contributing to the ambience. We got the cheese plate that came with brie, blue cheese, Gouda and something with grapes, dried raspberry, apple, and two grape jams. It was amazing that I couldn't stop complimenting it. Parfait recommended the Blanc de kiwi (which can to me which was a really refreshing white wine and it paired well with our cheese plate. For entrees we each got a pizza, he got a margherita and I got the French. The margherita was fresh and well executed and the French was unique and very balanced in taste. The salad that came on top of the pizzas were great additions! For desserts we got the souffle (which was actually chocolate molten cake) and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Simply amazing. We finished everything (which is very uncommon for us who don't never eat a lot) and enjoyed it to the very last bite. By the end of our meal we were the only guests, so we also got to enjoy the atmosphere to ourself. On top of all the amazing food, Parfait was attentive, funny and very welcoming throughout the entire meal. The first time I came here with a group of girls, the owner came out and acted like we had been friends for years! He was so kind and social that I immediately felt comfortable. He is extremely passionate about food and wants you to return for another great experience. I even started to follow the business on Instagram and he reached out and remembered me! He thanked me for coming in and asked how everything was. I was VERY impressed. Also, if you check out his IG, he is very involved in the community and has a sense of humor. He treats his employees very well and the whole place feels like a family. While the prices are a little high, you are getting quality ingredients. The wine selection is great and he even has some pre-made choice menus that comes with a specific wine that pairs with the suggested appetizer and meal. I think it was about $60 for that choice for 2 people... so a bottle of wine, 1 or 2 appetizers and 1 or 2 meals. It was an experience! Sit outside when the weather is nice and enjoy your time! My hubby, daughter and I were craving Italian food so we stop in on a Saturday night around 7:00. Let's just say it was so pretty and smelled amazing. Heads up you must be 21 or older to dine here. I took my good friend for her Birthday this past Thursday. It was our 1st visit for both of us. Let me start by saying it was such an Amazing experience. Parfait greeted us at the door. Took the present and lead us to our table. He opened up our chairs (such a gentlemen). Never felt awkward on the countery, We felt welcomed. We started out with Tapenade (yummy). Followed by wine which all I drink is Moscato. I wasn't sure what went well with my dinner. Not to worry I asked Parfait and he hooked it up with the most refreshing, light Moscato. Did not make you feel dum for those who are not very knowledgeable about wine (like me). It was so so Good. The Birthday girl decide to join me with another glass of Moscato. We then ordered our entree. Birthday girl ordered the Santa Barbara Smoked Salmon Pasta. I ordered the Chicken Pesto pasta. It was SO DELICIOUS! We finished off with a bundt cake and Parfait took it to a whole new level and made my friends Birthday that extra special. We loved the ambient feeling this wine bar has. It was such a relaxing feeling, not feeling rushed like the franchised restaurants. Parfait made us feel at home. Another reason I love this place is No under age. It's 21 and over. Felt so grown up. I made reservation at 6 but had to move it to 7, with no problems. We ended leaving at 11 pm. Never did Parfait make us feel like we had to leave. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening. This was a very pleasant surprise after a day of sailing. The host/owner was so nice and answered all of our questions about the entree's. He even let us sample the beers to help us decide which one we liked better. All five in our group tried the pasta dishes and they were wonderful. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner Parfait for was an excellent hoist, and made us feel so welcomed. My friend ordered the sausage & peppers as for myself I had to try The Russian to do a comparison test to a other restaurant I frequent. Then afterwards I knew their was no comparison to the latter it was sooooo freaking delicious I wish I could eat it again while I type this review. I have gone out to dinner a handful of times since the beginning of Covid, but I heard that Barrel 33 had reopened (at least for outdoor dining). So last Thursday, I decided to meet a friend there, and what a great call that was! First of all, the owner, Parfait ("Perfect" in French - he wears his name well), is just the nicest person: friendly but courteous, discreet but efficient, he knows how to create a lovely atmosphere, as if he were welcoming you into his own backyard. He pays attention to detail in everything he does: Cosy sitting areas, a small blanket on each armchair in case it gets chilly, little bottles of sanitizers attached to the trees in the patio, string lights, heaters, a really nice music selection... As for the food, it was just what I was looking for: casual yet refined, beautifully presented, healthy light, and tasty, understated but quality (my kind of food, where great ingredients truly matter).
