The main reason we continue coming back to this store is because of Chris. He previously helped my husband and my dad with suits for our son's wedding, and ever since then we always look for him when we visit. My husband is 6'7", so finding the right sizes and fit can be difficult, but Chris is always incredibly helpful, creative, patient, and friendly. He truly provides outstanding customer service. During this visit, while I was walking around the store, I overheard two employees talking about Chris and saying he needed to stay at the register instead of helping customers on the floor. Honestly, that was disappointing to hear because Chris is the one employee who is approachable and genuinely engaged with customers. The rest of the staff often seem inexperienced, unwelcoming, or simply fail to acknowledge customers altogether. We also learned there have been some organizational changes requiring employees to remain behind the registers. With all due respect, employees like Chris should not be restricted from helping customers on the sales floor. He is the reason loyal customers like us continue returning to this location. Otherwise, we would honestly drive to the Inland Empire location just to work with Hamid again, whom we also miss at the Mission Viejo store. While we were checking out, two additional customers were standing there waiting for quite some time without assistance or even acknowledgment. For me, Macy's is a store that I will shop at for sale items because their prices are a little bit steep. You can find some good deals though when you look. It is located in the men's part of Macy's at this mall and the better store is in Santa Ana at Main Place mall but this store also has some good deals.
