I suffer from sciatica pain and had found that I could only sit comfortably in a recliner chair if I used a thick pillow to support my lower back and a larger thinner pillow to support my upper back. I had also made a foot rest to support my feet, so that I could sit in that chair with my knees flexed. The foot rest was a square pillow connected to the chair with a rope. Needless to say, the whole setup was a little ugly and quite unstable. I asked Jaime to help, and he readily agreed. He listened carefully to my needs, measured the pillows that I was using and made two custom cushions to replace them, sewing an adjustable strap onto the foot rest cushion to attach it to the chair. He used an attractive soft fabric and various kinds of foam that he had in his shop. It was ready in a week, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I had my 1939 Packard headliner replaced there. Terrible quality, or craftsmanship and placing on the cake., damaged, my freshly restored dashboard. They also removed the two side windows which had to come out to replace the headliner., and when I asked, why didn't they put them back in, they said they never took them out. I said you had to in order to get the headliner in. read more

We had a couch in good condition that really needed to be reupholstered, as the fabric had faded and no longer matched the color scheme in our new home. Morgan Hill Design and Interiors referred Barrios Upholstery to us as the best place in town with excellent customer service and selection. Upon meeting Jaime Barrios and his staff, the first morning we knew we had a winner. The fabric selections are very extensive, and we were able to bring home a couple of books a couple of times to ensure that we pick the correct color to match our current color scheme. Marvin did a wonderful job of reupholstering our Jeep Cherokee fabric seats in to custom fitted leather ones. So much more luxurious and clean this way. He had some great suggestions on colors and when I told him, "surprise me", he did and it came out great. Jaime and his team are the best! Many years ago they upholstered some outdoor furniture a contractor had built for us. I remembered what a great job they had done so when I wanted to do a total makeover of the torn up leather seats and carpeting in my 25 year old Mustang I took the car to them. They made it look like new. Maybe better than new! Then my wife and I asked them to wrap the steering wheels on our vehicles with leather. My wife wanted to protect her brand new steering wheel.
