I can't say enough good things about Craig's Auto Upholstery. After years of going back and forth with Stoneridge Jeep and Jeep Cares trying to get my Jeep Grand Cherokee dash fixed--and getting absolutely nowhere--I was beyond frustrated and gave up. Jeep Cares knew about the Jeep Delaminating -X81 Warranty but has shown little concern--even after I explained that this is a serious safety issue, as it could prevent the airbags from deploying properly in the event of an accident. Definitely, they don't care and closed my case twice. I even reported it to 7 on Your Side but still nothing. They just referred me to the Bureau of Automotive Repairs. On top of that, I couldn't even find a shop willing to take on the job. Six years later... my driver seat torn so I found Craig's Auto Upholstery to repair the job and that came out awesome. Obviously, they saw my dashboard and advised me that they can also fix it. Craig's Auto Upholstery not only took it on, but absolutely exceeded my expectations. Victor was confident and went above and beyond--the original leather had become so hard and damaged that he had to create his own template from scratch. He carefully matched the vinyl and stitching so it looks just like the original, if not better. The process itself was no small job. An electrician had to remove the entire dashboard and then reconnect everything afterward, and it was all done seamlessly. The quality of the work is incredible--my dash looks amazing, like new again. You can tell they take pride in their craftsmanship and truly know what they're doing. And it only took Victor, Jorge and their Electrician a day and a half to complete the job making it seem like this was an easy project to them! After years of stress over this issue, it feels like such a relief to finally have it fixed the right way. It was time to get new covers on my seats...I went on eBay and purchased all seat covers for about $250. I then put out the project request and Craigs' Auto Upholstery won the bid and thankfully so! They took my old worn out seat covers and made them brand new again, Victor and his staff added some extra padding as needed without even asking! Great craftsmanship and friendly service. We were able to bring in our 94 Toyota pick up truck within two weeks of getting the quote for a headliner and reupholstered bench seat. My trusted guy retired so I searched around, called CRAIG'S auto and thought I'd try with a small job covering an arm rest thinking small jobs can lead to bigger jobs. They do not stand by their customers. I had given them what I thought was an excellent review on the first upholstery job that they did for me. No complaints on that one. Based on that first job, i had asked Victor (the owner) for a second quote to upholstering my son's steering car wheel, and the final quoted price was although very high, and after some phone haggling, the price was lowered with some pencil sharpening, that Victor agreed to reduce his quoted price and we settled on a firm date to getting the second upholstery job done. After waiting to get this job done for 2 weeks, he told me he could not do the job, based on my earlier review (4 stars due to getting a decent price quote for the first job. However the second quote request for the steering wheel upholstery was too high! This turn of events was a complete surprise to me and source of source of huge disappointment to me. Victor the owner, tried to redeem himself and his shop by telling me he was booked till end of June, 2026 when I had a firm date for May4th weeks earlier, and a date that we both agreed to complete my sons steering wheel upholstery. He then pawned of my job to another upholstery shop whose quote was even more ridiculous than Craig's! Result: I could buy a brand new wheel and install for that amount at the dealership with a brand new OEM steering wheel. read more

I drove my 20 year old Toyota RAV4 to Craig's Auto Upholstery for Victor to work on remediating the leather tears in both front seat cover bottoms. When I picked up the car later in the day, the seat cover bottoms were replaced with new matching leather, expertly cut, sewn and fitted to the seats, both seats professionally re-installed and cleaned. I couldn't really get help here and the language barrier didn't help either.Asked about two issues concerning repair of leather steering wheel, ( guy says replace it), same for a tear in the seat seam that was no more than half an inch! The seat on my 2013 Mercedes started separating along the seam so I contacted Craig's Auto Upholstery to fix it before it got way worse. I managed to catch them just as they were relocating from their Campbell address to downtown San Jose, but aside from the hiccups that the relocation cause, and that they were very gracious in accommodating, the work was exceptional. They replaced the whole seat bottom on my drivers seat for a very reasonable price and when I picked up the car I could not see a difference between the repaired driver side seat and the factory passenger seat. Excellent work! Ever since I got my 2005 Volvo I knew I was going to have to replace the headliner at some point. When the car was made I guess Volvo was trying to save a bit of money by cutting the headliner short and not tucking it. I guess they figured clue would hold it until it was out of warranty, so they left raw edges exposed at the front and rear windows. I pointed this out to Volvo early on and they said they are all like this and there shouldn't be a problem. Fast-forward to a few years back and of course, as expected, the headliner started coming down around the edges. Luckily I found Craig!!! He matched the liner with a much nicer material than the stock liner, installed it in 1 day, and even managed to tuck the ends under so there were no exposed cuts. Craig's headliner is going to last longer than the car!!! (I wonder how much Volvo really saved by short-cutting 1 inch of fabric on their cars.) I am so pleased!! Craig is a really cool guy, too. I think his passion for cars really shows in the quality of the work he does. He knows his stuff!!! I was pleased at the cost, too. In and out for under $500. My baby (a 1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible) sustained injury when some fool tried to steal the car by running a knife through its roof and headliner. Craig's came recommended by a friend, and I was desperate to have the work done right. I didn't meet Craig until it was time to pick up the car, but by the time it was ready, he and I were old friends. My husband has an ancient pickup truck that has seen better days, but we keep because it definitely comes in handy when I buy some obnoxiously large piece of furniture or art. The seats were torn up and all the stuffing was starting to come out, so I thought I would surprise him and get it re-upholstered. I found Craig on Yelp and took the truck over to his shop. Craig gave me a quote, showed me some samples, and gave me an estimate of when it would be ready. He even noticed that the driver-side window wasn't functional and called a glass guy he knew to come work on the window while the truck was sitting at his shop getting re-upholstered. And what do you know; the work was done just as he said, when he said, and for the price he said. How refreshing! He worked quickly, without any fuss or hassle, and the truck looks brand spanking new. Well, on the inside anyway :) My only complaint is that now my husband is enjoying his truck so much with its swanky new interior and his fully functioning window that he wants to drive the truck around town instead of our car.
