First remove a…read more3rd party wing on my car, install a replacement for a factory front lip that I broke during track day about 3 years ago, and get some wraps and painting done. So in my research, I found a a lot of shops as you would expect. Ended up choosing Silicon Valley Customs, mostly because it was close and in an area I was familiar with since I was a child. After some initial contact via text and phone calls, I setup my first appointment with SVC to bring the car in for some estimates and discuss what I was looking for. The owner was very accommodating and provided me many options for what I wanted to do. Mainly the removal of the spoiler and patching the holes that are leftover. He went over the many options they had and we managed to agree on the option that was best suited for me and my budget. No pushback and judgement at all. We also discussed the other options like installing a front lip replacement that I brought and asked for service on and wrapping the car. We came to an initial agreement and the appointment was set. And I left my replacement front lip with them to paint. Between this and the day of the appointment, I had some changes that I wanted to make to what was agreed on and the again, no problems there. Changes were accepted very easily. And for me, the big thing was, I wanted to wrap the antenna, which the owner mentioned wouldn't be an issue to do but would take longer. And I said no problem if it would take longer we don't have to do it. Unfortunately, the day came for the appointment and I fell sick out of nowhere. Kind of funny how that works right? So I gave the shop a call. The owner had no issues re-scheduling, wished me well and we agreed upon a new appointment. On the new appointment date, I came to drop off the car, it was quick and easy. They reconfirmed with me everything we discussed and I just left them my key. They had quite the few cars to work on that day as well so it took them a while to get to my car but the great thing was, they still managed to get my car back to me the same day I dropped it off. So when I came to get the car, I remember specifically that I didn't actually clear with them for doing the antenna. But they still did it anyway AND gave me the best price for it. Even though it took them much more time to wrap it because they had to remove alot of parts to get it. I REALLY appreciate them for that. Not only did they wrap what I really wanted even though I didn't specifically say, the owner gave me a SOLID price for it. That's the kicker here. All that work and still gave me a good price that even I would say is quite generous. Overall, I am more satisfied then I thought I would be. And I would be willing to come back to them in the future for any further wraps or projects!

After doing extensive research on MPP suspension upgrades, I reached out to TDW Auto and sent a summary of my desired scope of work, my budget, and a request for feedback on whether I had the correct approach in addressing my concerns. From Will's first response, we had seamless back-and-forth conversations over E-mail and text to clarify the current setup of my car, highlight my major concerns, address these concerns with the proper MPP upgrades, and align on my budget, must-haves, and nice-to-haves. There was never once an upsell; only cautionary words of unnecessary upgrades for my use case, which is really just the daily work commute in a lowered setup for personal aesthetic purposes. My original request included MPP front upper control arms and rear traction arms with my Unplugged Performance lowering springs, along with swapping out the front lowering control arms and rear camber arms. However, Will explained that the FUCAs and traction arms served no improved performance for commuting, and that the existing springs were more of a budget-friendly fit that compromised on long-term performance due to its reliance on Tesla stock dampers. Instead, he recommended swapping out the springs for MPP coilovers, and replacing the toe arms in conjunction with the camber arms to improve upon long-term lowered car hardware wear-and-tear. I followed up with Will after our virtual exchanges to get his opinions in person. He took me out for a test ride with me in the passenger seat, immediately identifying that my dampers were squeaking noticeably and that hard cornering at highway speeds felt bumpier than it should. Additionally, he patiently answered all my technical questions over the hour I was there, and adjusted the quotation when I made the final decisions on the suspension refresh. Will was completely transparent about pricing: he categorized the costs by the "front" and "rear," clearly highlighting the number of hours required to replace the front control arms, coilovers, and rear camber and toe arms. Alignment was included in the coilover work as well as solid front lower control arm pressing. He was even able to slot me in his 2-3 weeks' booked schedule on short notice because I wanted to complete the suspension refresh before making a drive to Canada. I picked up my car today after leaving my car overnight, and am extremely satisfied with my decision and results. This shop take no accountability and claimed that the reason why these codes popped up is due to the modifications installed and the car needing a recalibration. They went to get second opinions from other shops and being that my buddies don't work internally on their vehicles , the other shops they went to get a second opinion on while getting recalibrated is that "whoever worked on this vehicle broke the brackets off that were part of the front bumper sensor. For the same situation to happen twice would not be a coincidence. Hearing all of this, I would not take my vehicle to this shop for any work.
