Order was taken really quickly, and there are a lot of seat options. I was not very hungry, so I went with the kid's spaghetti and meatballs. The portion was massive for a kid's size, and it came with two large pieces of garlic bread and a drink. My cousin got their boneless, hot honey wings which were delicious. They had a nice blend of spice and honey flavor. My sister got their classic house salad which was very fresh, and a great size. Four of us came for lunch. We wanted the daily special (veggie) as well as sausage. WHAAATT!!! They are out of all of them and we would need to wait 12 minutes or so for them to cook more. Now, wouldn't you think that as the supply is getting low (maybe half) that you would begin making more pizzas..especially the daily special and at lunchtime. All they had available was pepperoni....so I guess we got stuck with the pepperoni because when you are having lunch, you don't have lots of time to wait for them to cook more. The service is good, they're always super friendly. I love Barro's and the have never messed up my food until today. My pizza to go order came RAW, unevenly cut, and with extreme amounts of cheese and no dough in the middle. I tried cooking it in my oven however, the food was inedible. read more

I think a lot of people like Barro's pizza though it may be a yes or no type of place. I know a lot of people like the puffy crust, but would prefer if the bubbles in the dough were popped so that the sauce and cheese doesn't accumulate on one side. My pizza came out fine when I checked it. The pizza sauce could be considered as an acquired taste or just that you like the flavor of it. I like when the dough is soft, but would prefer a slight crunch to the crust without it being burnt. This is different than being undercooked. From another place I had had a slightly undercooked pizza before. So far I haven't had a burnt crust pizza from Barro's which is nice. Ordering and pizza pickup is quick and easy. As a pizza freak, I love all pizzas, even thick crusts like Barros. Having eaten pizza from New York in both old world Italian restaurants and window pizzas (if you know, you know) I love big thin pizzas. But back to Barros. We go to the Borros on Brown and Gilbert. Been ordering for years. I pick up 70% of the time but I ordered for delivery and they told me 1.5 hours. Over two hours later it was a no-show. "We're super busy." I get that but I had to make other arrangements as kids involved. Canceled my order after two hours and fifteen minutes. Very disappointed and they didn't seem to care at all. We recently moved and recruited some of our friends. We had to of course order pizza and beer for classic moving "payment". We opted for Barro's as my friend gave them high compliments for their ranch and of course solid pizza. We ordered two large pizzas: One 1/2 cheese and 1/2 BBQ Chicken and another with pepperoni, jalapenos and pineapple and of course a couple sides of ranch! The total came out around $35 dollars. I did try using their online ordering, but it was hard to confirm the topping for the 1/2 + 1/2 pizza, though they do have that feature and I am sure if you are use to it is easy, but since they were different sauces, I was not 100% and opted to call in. I arrived right on time (They said about 20 minutes), service was friendly. They had a bit of a line, but I was able to get checked out relatively promptly. I did not have the cheese, as I prefer more topping filled za', but enjoyed the BBQ chicken, far more than I expected. The jalapeno on the second pizza, seemed more like green peppers. I could be wrong, as they may not have been pickled or were just cut different, but I did not get the heat. Overall, the pizza was good, not great, but definitely would order again. The young lady at the counter was very rude to us. We walked in at 9:30 on Friday night and were told that they were no longer doing dine in. I mentioned that the hours listed on their door was until 11:00pm , she said needed to check her phone to see if it was Saturday. She proceeded to take our order, was very awkward. We didn't feel welcomed at all. 10 minutes after receiving our food, a gentleman came to our table and said "let us know if you need any boxes".... Whenever I'm in mesa with my couple friends we order barro's wings. We did order the pizza but we like the wings. I like the dry rubs like the garlic parmesan and my gal pal loves the honey hot. We always get them to go so we can stop by crumbl and get out cookie fix too. They are usually pretty busy but have the food done in a reasonable amount of time for a decent price. read more

Pizzas great. But if you're gonna charge me $.75 for a ranch I would expect it to be more than half full. After I asked for a different ranch because mine was almost empty, they were very disrespectful as they took away the ranch and threw it away to give me another ranch that was basically the same. His name is Brooks and from the instant we walked in and talked to him he was super rude and would not talk to us, evey time we would ask him a different question on their new policy he would give us the same answer even when I asked for clarification he sat there and just stared at me. Came to my usual Barros today to get the lunch special and it ended up being a bad idea. Walked in the store and 3 out of the 4 girls behind the register were wearing their mask incorrectly (two below their nose and one below her chin. Also, two staff member working in the kitchen did not have a mask on or were also wearing it incorrectly (below the chin). When the only staff member wearing a mask asked them to put them on correctly, they said replied, no I'm on my break (even though she was working behind the counter). At the very least, I will not be coming back here until they can properly train their employees. read more

If you complain, watch out for Brooks! The store did not "totally delete this transaction." The order that was originally placed was voided which means your card payment will not fully process. There is still evidence of the original order. The picture I sent you is of the original order with additional information of the payment being removed so that it would not be finalized as a sale so you wouldn't be charged for it. Were you able to see the pictures I sent? It shows an online order was placed at 11:39 am. It shows the driver left the store at 12:23. It shows the driver returned to the store at 12:42. The pizza was mediocre at best. Quality toppings weren't used. When I went in to pick up my order the girls behind the counter we're busy folding boxes and talking to each other and didn't have time for good customer service. I was very disappointed. We use to eat here once a week even tho deliveries were painfully slow. Stopped ordering last month because they kept getting my two salads wrong like 85% of the time. Mostly they kept putting cheese on them even tho specifically ordering without. The last time I ordered (always ordered two) one for the night one for the next day, I didn't get around to eating either one that night so put them both in the fridge. Next day the lettuce on the bottom was already turning brown because there was what appeared to be water in the bottoms. I turned the container and it came pouring out. I have been going to Barros for years. They make a pizza with toppings that are piled high, and the price is reasonable. That is until lately. The past 2 weeks, the location I go to has stopped putting peppers and cheese on the tables ( you have to ask for it ), the toppings have thinned out, and they changed the ham to chunks, instead of slices. I don't know if this was a decision made by a local manager, or if it's a corporate decision, but it's got me looking at other places for my Thursday night pizza. read more

We placed a to go order on 10/2/24 for the special XL pizza and 24 wings. There was barely any meat on the side with meatball...in fact, some pieces had none. Idk what happened over the last 22 years that we've been ordering from this location, but there was also almost no marinara sauce, and all ingredients stop about 2/3 of the way on the sliced toward the crust, so it's just a lot of crust. Also, I realize that prices have increased over the years, but we started buying this exact special for $19.99 20 years ago, and 6 years ago, the price increased to $28.99. I wrote a review on yelp, and they explained how ingredients had increased so they had to raise their prices. This time, 6 years later, it was $48.72?!!! Seriously, inflation has not caused this percentage of increase. I think that it's more a matter of lining their pockets, well quality, and quantity decreases. I can tell you that, although we like to support local businesses , and also also businesses in our neighborhood, this will most likely be the last time we ever order from this place. read more

Wow if I really wanted dry rubbed hot wings I would have gone to native New Yorker and actually got good ones. I ordered the traditional bone in hot wings and a thin crust pepperoni pizza and the pizza was good but the wings if you can call them that were terrible. Overcooked no sauce and they tried to give me five wings because they thought this dried up crunchy cartilage was another wing mind you it was attached to one of them. I took it back in there and the lady brought it back to the kitchen associate and said "some guy thinks you only gave him 5 wings" as if I could not hear them. The kitchen Associate just threw another dry overcooked hot wing in the box. Pictures and video of the disaster will be added.
