I always call in my order in which it only takes 15 minutes to be ready for pick up. always fast and easy over the phone, in which I NEVER had any my problems with my order! Great and friendly service! Upon arriving the location is sort of like a place you take your little league team after winning the big game! They have ample amount of space and seating. They have a large TV for big games. Also a mini arcade for the kids. And a mini Draft bar. They serve alcohol here. When i pick up my pizza to go it's always fresh! Soft crust but a bit of a crisp when you bite into it. Cheese is goozy! Stretching as you pull a slice away from the pie! Sausage and Pepperoni is my favorite! They load the pizza with toppings! And the sauce is what really makes the pizza come together. It does look like a mom and pop joint so don't expect to get a large pizza for 5 dollars. Like your rink a dink Little Ceasars. And it's not that expensive either about average mom and pop pizza would cost. But let me tell you IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Best pizza I've ever had. Terrible pizza! How does this place have so many good reviews?! Thanks for letting us down fellow Yelpers and pointing us to this place! This review is long overdue as my wife and I stopped by here just over a month ago; but I'm still so upset with this place that I felt the need to voice my opinion. If this is the best pizza in Diamond Bar, clearly you should never look for pizza in Diamond Bar! We ordered the Barro's Special w/no ham. Plenty of toppings but the pizza was undercooked and the pepperoni looked like it was thrown on last minute. Terrible low quality cheese and too much of it. Sauce was bland and there was very little to be found. The crust was decent but limp in the middle from being bogged down with too many toppings releasing water while being baked. This pizza was nowhere near being worthy of the $25 price tag. My taste buds and wallet would have been more happy with a $5 mediocre Hot-N-Ready pizza from little Caesar's. We will never return. I have been coming to Barro's before it was even at this location. There used to be one on the corner of Nogales and Amar. So I was relieved to find this one. This was the spot at one time, until it was sold about a decade ago. It's still Barro's, but its the worst one I've ever been to. Granted the pizza tastes similar to a genuine Barro's, but the pizzas look like a big nasty pile of goo each time. And should you not like your pizza or ask for another to be made, expect attitude and possibly a tainted pizza. This place is run by a bunch of snooty high school kids that have no concept of work or dealing with the public. My gf has been coming here since she was a kid, like a lot of other reviewers and said it's the best pizza in town. So while deciding where to go to watch the first Sunday night football of the season, I thought, pizza, beer, football... perfect! So we get there right before the game starts and there are already quite a few families in there. We order up a pitcher of shock top, and a small Barros special pizza, and 6 wings. Comes out to $38 and change.. A bit pricey but the first bite into that pizza made it totally worth it. The Barros Special has ham, pepperoni, onions, peppers, and some other good stuff on it. The crust and bottom of the pizza was nice and crispy. The meat toppings were nice and hot. The veggie toppings were nice and crunchy and not overly cooked! They must put the veggies on after the pizza is cooked and throw it back in the oven for a bit because usually the onions or peppers are all shriveled and soft at other places. The wings were just ok. They are different than your normal buffalo wing as they are not tossed in wing sauce. They tasted ok, and had plenty of meat, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. I'll probably skip the wings next time. Now, as a lot of others have mentioned, a lot of people have been coming here since they were little kids. There were a lot of kids here after their baseball/football/basketball games. I don't mind a lot of kids and think its great that in 20 years, they can come to barros and say they've been coming here since they were kids too but the parents seriously just let the kids run wild. One of the best pizza in Diamond Bar. What I like about the pizza is that the tomato sauce isn't over powering, they place just enough to where you can enjoy the sauce with the pizza and toppings. They're not stingy on the toppings either. Not like those other typical pizza places and when you open the box all you see is cheese and a few pieces of toppings. This place stacks your pizza with your preferred toppings. I came in on a Saturday night and made a walk in order. I ordered two medium pizzas. There is a mini arcade here while you wait for your pizza. Or, you can walk around the plaza that this pizza joint is in. There is a Paris Baguette and a Korean super market you can check out while you wait for your order. I think it took about 15 minutes for my pizza to be ready for pick up. As I walked back into the pizza joint, I took a seat and not a minute later the person handed me my order. Parking- There are plenty of parking due to Supermarket and other shops. read more

We have been coming here for years. This is the first time and probably last that we will order from here to go. We ordered 12 count wings, got home and we did not have our wings. This was on us as we should have checked the bags to make sure our entire order was there. We went back down to get the wings. We got home and they gave us 7 wings! They don't even sell 7 wings. Called and talked to Angela who really did not care AT ALL and said oh sometimes we give people extra wings. We ordered and paid for 12, so last time I checked 7 is not extra wings when you order 12. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza half of it with onions. Not too difficult. I came home with the pepperoni with full onions all over the pizza. The employee who took my order almost whispered in my ear when I ordered my food. Not just lack of energy it was obvious she didn't wanna be there. So then I went to pick up the orders I did and since the order was not for myself I just decided to trust the restaurant on giving me the right order. They forgot to include two drinks I ordered when I called them to bring it out as I was driving back to the restaurant because I didn't wanna get out of my car when it's not necessarily my fault the same employee cut my words with an annoyed tone said ok ok we will bring it out to you. Like many customers, I've been coming here since I was a kid. What I get here kind of rotates usually, but the menu items I've tried and recommend are: -Pizza (Barro's Special, BBQ Chicken, or Sicilian with Basil, sausage, and mushrooms) -Antipasto salad -Cheese bread with a side of spaghetti sauce -Pastrami sandwich -Eggplant baked ziti -Buffalo wings The pizza crust, as many others attest to, is crunchy and absolutely amazing here. Their pizza has the perfect balance of soft doughyness with a crisp crunchy finish. You can also ask your pizzas to be thin or thick crust! The quality of the real mozzarella cheese they use is amazing, and the pizza isn't oily at all. I'm also a huge wing fan, and the buffalo wings here are amazing. They're frozen wings which are seemingly nothing special, but they're very meaty and they cook them in their pizza oven. I don't know what it is about that oven, but it takes standard food and turns it into a meal for a god. The wing develops a nice crunchyness on the skin, and dipped in the ranch it makes the perfect combo. I will continue to come here for the rest of my life. read more

Look no further if you want grade A pizza and good customer service!!! as a former employee of Rendinos Pizza (now occupied with YokoYoko on db blvd) I appreciate a good pizza. The cooks that work @ Barro's used to work with me @ rendinos. They've been in the game for awhile and know how to make a good pizza. Take advantage of their daily specials. My favorite is the combo A. for about 7 bucks you can get a Pasta+Drink+individual pizza. 1) the antipasta salad is amazing. a REALLY generous amount of pepperoni, salami, and other good meat with some Mozz. cheese all topped off with some Italian Dressing. SO GOOD..... 2) Individual Pizza is awesome Perfect Crisp to their crust, not much tomato sauce, and their cheese is so good. I usually get the crushed garlic topping. There are plenty of seats for your whole family/ team to sit. Alot of TV's so you can watch the game. Their wings are fairly priced and good too! Their pizza is the best I have ever had and I've tried many pizza places out there since pizza is my favorite dish. I worked here for over a couple years and I can tell you we don't do anything crazy or spray grease onto anything like other pizza restaurants have been known to do. All the ingredients are fresh produce or handmade. We make our own sauce as well as dough. I'll admit it is a bit pricey but you definitely get more than what you pay for. The pizza is naturally pretty thick and the crust is crunchy. They're not stingy in the toppings either. You can easily get full with just three slices. read more

When I was a kid, a long ass time ago, this is the pizza shop where we would go after a little league game so I wanted to check it out again after all these years. I guess I was expecting more even though it was exactly how I remembered their pizza, but having eaten at so many good pizza places all around the country, I can't give this place such a high a score. I thought the dough was just a little tough, but overall it was a decent pizza for a local joint. Is it worth driving far to get this pizza, absolutely not. Barro's Pizza is Excellent: The Crust is not too thin and not extremely thick, they don't skimp on toppings and they have a good selection of beer as well. I've ordered pasta as well as a chicken salad here & though nothing was wrong with the food, I would still say stick with ordering a pizza-it's definitely worth it. The Location: It's located right off of the freeway on golden springs which makes it conveniently easy to get to. The square footage isn't very large but you can definitely fit a big party, I recommend calling ahead if your party is larger than 6 because this place can get packed & it has its regulars as well. The Ambiance: It's not a fancy place, it's casual & it has a close knit feeling. There's an arcade area in the back and it is definitely a kid friendly place. Seating is benched seats with long tables & the big screen televisions are playing the games people came to see(hockey,basketball,etc.) The Service: Unfortunately this is why I gave it a 3-star rating when it definitely deserves a 4 at the least. My experiences with the service have been meager to say the least. The young staff I've dealt with have been difficult to deal with. I will continue coming back to Barro's and if that improves I will be quick to update the rating. read more

My family and I really enjoy their pizza. We moved to Diamond Bar about 20 years ago and it was one of the first pizza places we tried. We come for the Monday special, a large one topping for $15. We always get pepperoni and sausage, however. I really enjoy the crust on the pizza; crispy outside and doughy inside. As a matter of fact, I always eat the crust first. The cheese is melty and gooey when it comes out. You have to let it cool down a minute so the toppings stay on! We have moved away since several times and each time farther, but we always dine in because it is so tasty when it's fresh. Now that I have grown up and moved away on my own, I often invite my dad to come back to Barros. Driving down from Apple Valley to share some pizza with him is always worth it! read more

Happy to see this pizza place still here after coming since the late 1980s while I was growing up in Diamond Bar. The inside has been modernized with TVs to watch sports and still has a small arcade for the kids. A great local place to grab pizza and a beer after kids sporting events. The pizza and hot wings are great but the service is horrible. My wife and I decided to eat-in instead of carry-out. You can tell there was no one over 21 (except for the guy that serves beer) that worked there because they have no clue of what good customer service is. The tables in the restaurant weren't what a normal person considers clean. We made due with cleaning it ourselves because they were apparently to busy to clean it themselves. When the young man brings out our pizza he slides on the table. This would normally not bother me because restaurants place the pizza on a pans or trays when they serve customers. Well, not only did Barro's not place it on a pan or tray they placed it on a round cardboard cut out and the pizza was hanging off the edge and grease all over the table. My wife and I were a little grossed out by lack of care they had when serving the pie so I have them put it in the box. He then failed to bring plates and when I aksed he just pointed to an area where they had paper plates. I'm glad I order my hotwings to go. Word of advise, take your food to go and don't eat-in. read more

For some reason this place is always packed, so I gave it a shot. Mini pizza $7 base with cheese, 6 pieces. $8.72 with 1 topping. The crust and pizza base is thin and crispy, like most people have commented on. You can literally hear a crunch with each bite. I think I'd return for that alone. If you live anywhere within close vicinity to this Pizza place and you have yet to visit, shame on you! In fact, shame on me for having lived within 15 minutes away from here for the past 20 years of my existence and not ever going to this place... ever. Barro's Pizza has been around for a while and if I'm correct, it's the only location remaining. They have fresh ingredients and THE most bomb butt pizza ever if you're looking for something fancier than Pizza Hut or Domino's. The only other place I would think is equally delicious is First Class Pizza in the Orange County area. They have some really great specialty pizza- my family shared half vegetarian which was delicious and half something else with meat that was pretty amazing as well. Service isn't five star (c'mon, it's a pizza parlor) and you'll find some old school tvs and gaming machines for kids in the back. My recommendation would be don't order the salad- $7 for very simple croutons with romaine lettuce and cheese and tomatoes. But go with any of the specialty pizzas and you won't be disappointed. Price is a little more on the upside but that's because you're paying for better and more ingredients on your pizza. When I was a kid, this was the place to be! Why? Well, they have THE BEST PIZZA CRUST EVER. If you like a nice chew to your pizza crust and high quality cheese, you must come here. Back in the day, they also had a Street Fighter II arcade game, so we'd spend all day there. Well, I recently went again when I visited my dad. Over 20 years later, the pizza still tastes the same! Even after different owners took over. This will always be my favorite pizza. I haven't been able to find a crust as good as Barro's. They definitely do not skimp on the toppings either. I'm from the "there should be no more than three toppings on a pizza" school. That way you can taste each topping and the quality of each of the toppings and cheese. The pizza crust is not just something that the toppings go on, but another dimension of taste and texture. I will dream of that crust. read more

The wing taste like the store bought Tyson chicken wings, and the salad taste like if they drop it on the floor cuz the chicken on the salad taste like cleaning solution. Worst experience ever! Everything was tasteless, the only thing I could taste was the excessive amount of salt on the burnt mojos. Everything slid off my pizza.
