This pizza has a perfectly crisped crust. They cook it in an open oven and load it up with lots of cheese and fresh toppings. It's a consistently good pie. Little bit pricey, but now and then it's worth the penny. I got a large (12 slices) and three medium drinks for $30. I normally don't like bell peppers on my pizza, but these were sliced thinly whereas i didn't mind at all. I went out of my way to pick some up off the tray. The restaurant feels clean. They have a lot of seating in views of the 3 television sets around the room. Had the play off game on today and it wasn't crowded in here. There are floor to ceiling windows around the restaurant and it's located on a corner so you don't feel boxed in. It's bright and airy. They also serve beer. It's casual. They have a station where you can grab some paper plates, forks, knives, parmesan and hot peppers. They've also got a small game/arcade section in the back. The pizza, hot wings, and beer are great selections. My only concern/issue is the cleanliness of the establishment. Every time I come here, the floors are usually messy with broken utensils, spilled/smashed food, and trash. The restrooms are even worse. It seems as if there are no employees that check the restrooms periodically and wait until closing time to sweep up any mess or trash on the floor. a friend of mine chose this place for our dinner a few days ago and i was like whatever. not a picky eater so i went with it. i believe we got the extra large pepperoni pizza and more than two dozens of hot wings. we also got lasagna to share. pizza was okay, nothing special. i enjoyed the wings, but they came only in 1 flavor. we asked them if they can do naked and sauces on the side, but they said it was pre-marinated. i was like ok. they cooked it perfectly though, it was hella juicy. imagine if they had more flavors/sauces with that kind of juiciness. damn thatd be friggin amazing. did not get to try the lasagna because i was too full after i ate a few slices of pizza and a lot of wings. overall it was an okay dinner for me, had better elsewhere. but it wasn't bad at all. i would have given this place 3.5 stars if i could. read more

I like this place for pizza and beer. The pitcher prices are good and the pizza is better! The crust is great and they LOAD THEM UP! They use thinly sliced veggies and put a ton on, as well as plenty of real, stretchy mozzarella! No delivery, but it's worth the trip. I tried an eggplant parm sandwich once and that was a mistake. I asked the worker if it was any good and he said he didn't like eggplant in general so he couldn't really say. Apparently, his lack of enthusiasm toward eggplant affected his preparation because it was very underdone and bad. Stick with the pizzas! Been enjoying Barro's since the 70s. That's right we lived walking distance from the first Barro's in California, Hacienda Heights to be exact ; before they started to franchise. Although they are not exactly as delicious as the original, there pretty close. I highly recommend you eat in, there is something about putting it in a box that loses its crisp. There was one person who was in front of me and at the time, I did not know that we needed to wait in the order line for online/take-out orders that are already paid for?.. anyways, so I guess I "cut" the 1 person in front of me and asked him if my order was ready. He told me that he'll check soon and he proceeded to spite me and handle all of the people waiting in line first. Great pizza i only tried a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was $25 but is more like an extra large. Next time i might try a medium. I had Barro's about 10 years ago and this was my second time back. I always had a pleasant memory of the place however I was a little dissapointed this time around. Service: 5/5 Super quick and accommodating on the phone and accurate with pick up times. Food: 2.5/5 With pizza, you have to be better than this, even if we don't live in a super competitive pizza neighborhood. The crust is super thick and large. The balance of each bite was way off. Sauce on the bbq chicken pizza was too tart and overpowering. In combination with the extra dominant crust, this deemed the pizza just not a joy to eat. Prices are also on the expensive side. I have been coming to Barro's for over 20 years now. It's a great pizza place. Very spacious and open flooring to accommodate large groups/sports teams. It's a bit pricey for a pizza but like the others said they def load up on the ingredients. The staff is very friendly. They have TVs to watch the games on. Barro's pizza crust was the right type of crunchiness!! They do NOT hold back on the cheese or toppings. Each bite had enough of everything. Alongside the large pepperoni with jalepeños, we ordered a spaghetti. If you are about meat sauce for your spaghetti then this would be your kind of plate to order. With a drink, it came to 9 bucks per person. 3-4 slices of the small pizza should be enough to fill an average person, but if you're eating by yourself, the 'personal sized' pizza just looks average to me. Sadly, I will have to find a new pizza place. As of a month ago, the quality has drastically dropped and I will not be eating here any more. Strike 1: They used to use high-quality low-moisture mozzarella cheese. Not anymore. The cheese used to create two-foot long strings when you pull the pie apart. Cheesy gooey goodness. Now, it seems they use low-quality cheese that doesn't even taste like real cheese. There are no strings of cheese when you pull the pie apart (like cafeteria pizza), and the whole pie crust gets soggy from all the moisture. Strike 2: To compensate, it seems they over-bake the pizza to create more "crisp." Either that or they just don't care about cooking the pie perfectly like they used to. The crust used to be chewy yet crisp. Now it's just hard. Strike 3: The other ingredients have dwindled in portions. The pizza used to be piled high with thickly cut veggies.
