When the technician left, the septic tank lids had not been properly secured. The screws were left sitting in the lids instead of being fastened, leaving the covers unsecured. As someone with children at home, I immediately recognized this as a serious safety hazard. I called the company as soon as I noticed the issue to make them aware. I explained that I had kids in the house and that the unsecured lids posed an immediate risk. The company had no problem promptly charging for the service, but when I called to report a serious safety issue they had created, I was told no one was available and that it would have to wait until the following morning. I found that response disappointing, especially considering the potential risk. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What I have a harder time accepting is the lack of urgency when a customer reports a potentially dangerous situation. An unsecured septic tank isn't a minor inconvenience--it's a significant safety hazard, particularly for families with children. I hope the company uses this as an opportunity to improve both its safety procedures and its customer service. A business should stand behind its work and respond promptly when a safety issue is brought to its attention.

Our backyard looks like a war zone, fence partially destroyed (not repaired), excavating machines broke some shale walkway stones leading to backyard, completely unsafe for adults/children, unresponsive to emails and calls. I can go on with the blatant lies sent to us via email about how the grass seeds washed away completely over a 5k sq ft and the fence was not their responsibility but what's the point. I would not recommend and have to find another company to complete the job so our 2 children 5 and under or guests get hurt. Will cost me at least $5k - $10k. Every contractor that has come is shocked our home was left in this state. We would like to have a yard this year for the kids to enjoy the summer. I have tons of current pictures of our war zone backyard and the broken piping etc from their work. I have never written a review like this, have no personal vendetta against them but bad business practices need to be exposed. Choose them at your own risk if you have that type of money to waste.

hello on saturday 7/11/26 i called cook and recieved an…read moreimmediate response regarding septic drain blockage. a short time later the tech called letting me know he was on the way to my address. his arrival time was accurate . he figured out what the issue was and went straight to work. the problem was solved and gave me a sense of great relief knowing that my poo went where it belonged. the tech was polite ,professional, and curteous , i have used cook in the past and will use them again. on monday 7/13/26 my septic tank will be pumped and empied by cook septic . bob h.
